Yeah. I know. But it's still nerve-racking lol. We still have little to no info for Miri. It's gonna be awhile. It'll be a miracle if they have something for Miri at Gamescom.

Can you imagine how absolutely romantic that'd be? They've both admitted they do want it, but duty comes first. So they wait. Only now it's the end of the world. So they change their minds because it might be all they get

If by duty, you mean: "This is a suicide mission, I want you, but since we're going to die, let's not."

To: "This could be the end of the world, I want you, and since we might die, your room or mine?"

You really, really lost me. You object to their love scene because the crew is taken so it's wildely inappropriate, but when people die in a global event that may span the galaxy, whoa! Slow down! Let's knock boots quick!

Actually, you're kinda scaring me a little. This 'pattern' you're establishing, especially with that last fic you wrote...

It's like you found some pills.

Because the location and tone are mood-killers. There are supposed to be people in the engine room, but they're aren't because the Collectors took them all. And Shep/Miranda don't talk about or refer to it at all. I'm envisioning something much closer to ME1, where Ilos and the likelihood of failure hangs over you even during sex.The game never allowed you to forget where you were in the plot. The ME2 romance scenes are divorced from the plot and weaker for it. The location of Miranda's draw attention to it.

In other words, the tone of the scene is too playful for it to work for me, considering what happens before and after.

Yes, it is. But I can't give you a link. It was somewhere here on BSN, but apparently it's vanished now.

Is it true the rumor that she won't be a permanent squadmate for ME3?

Nothing is known. Nothing is confirmed. We are left hanging.

in a weird way, i prefer it that way.
i'm as hungry for more info about the game and characters as the next fan, but the less i know about the game and characters when i finally actually get to play the game, the better.

but yeah, it sucks lol

Lmao this sounds a bit creepy :D i dont think that shepards would "perform"  (if you get my meaning) better with engine room full of people :D i think THAT would be a mood killer but hey milion diffrent people milion different tastes....i guess your shepard really need his crew TO NAIL a mission B)

OK....searched a little. Here are two mods:

This mod makes Miranda's default outfit black.

This mod is a black clothing package for Jacob and Miranda. It has options for Miranda without cleavage and without Cerberus logo. The textures look a little like her loyalty outfit, but are slightly different. I do not recall where I found this mod, so I've put it on my domain.

I'll tell you what to do with your time: rectify your "mistake". replay this Shepard from Virmire and select Kaidan to survive.

Thanks for the help with the guide:) Nice to not have any deadweight for my team in ME3.. and damn its going to be hard;) Been making it as hard for myself as i can all the way, while promoting war and killing everyone i could..

I've never deliberately killed anybody in the suicide mission but I have considered a "fatal attraction" playthrough where my femshep kills all her female competitors. ^_^

I've considered a game where everyone but Kasumi or Morinth dies. Never got off the ground.

Just started ME1 w/ Alex. Any interest in screenshots when I get to Miranda?

Hah, that was exactly what one of the devs wanted to do for his ME2 playthrough for his 'crappy' ME3 import.

and yes to screenshots.

That's who Ecael's infamous "worst possible playthrough" ended up with. Only she didn't leave it at that. She also killed everyone who could be killed, betrayed people where possible and attempted to make her Shepard the most-hated person in the galaxy. *Shudder* I could never do that. I wonder if you can win with such a backstory.

Yes, please.

@Little Red Corvette:
Sorry, no. I've only tested it and never played with it for a significant time.

I don't see why not, the majority of choices/outcomes happen in a complete vacuum from each other.

I loved how she described that playthrough: "the only people left on the Normandy are a crippled pilot, a thief, and an Asari succubus".

You'd have to be able to at least kill the Reapers, though it might be that everything else is destroyed and your only consolation is that the next civilization won't have to worry about this. I can see Shepard looking into the sunset on some empty planet where she crash-landed while striking the final blow, never to leave, making a recording in the hopes that someone will find it thousands of years later.

Edit: @Melrache: Not at all, she just wants to make sure SHE gets the credit for saving them

So an idiot, who betrays his/her comrades and hurts everyone, would suddenly care about survival of the next civilization? Doubt it, otherwise nice scenario :P

I will feel a little betrayed if Miranda is not in Mass Effect 2.

I wanted her to be my XO in Mass Effect 3. Kainden/Ashley seems to be good septer and a good backup person, but the secound normady is mostly filled with cerebrus crew and in that regard Miranda is a better choice for XO.

Miranda would be a horrible choice for XO in ME3. The Normandy is now Alliance. The crew will be Alliance and there will probably only be 2-3 people who were part of the new crew. Miranda is the enemy to the new crew, someone who switched sides only recently. Any authority she'd have would come from Shep. If Miranda were on the Normandy her role would be similar to Liara's in ME: viewed with suspicion and fairly isolated.
