If Shepard backs her up than that should be the end of it.

......If someone says the wrong thing to Miri, they will suffer the consequences.
......I may not be able to cause such actions though.

Yes. They may not trust her at first, but once I vouch for her, that should put any fears the crew may have to rest.ISpeakTheTruth wrote...
I agree that she won't be the XO in ME3 but I don't believe that she will be as frowned upon as some might believe. What are they going to say to her that they don't trust her because she worked for Cerberus? Didn't Shepard do that too?
If Shepard backs her up than that should be the end of it.

In ME2 Garrus was gunneru officer when he joined the crew, tali the chief engineer, and mordin the scienceofficer.
Maybe Miri can have something like Intelligence officer or just do nothing like grunt, thane, jack, etc.

At this point, it's gonna be a miracle if they have something for anyone other then Garrus, Liara, Mordin and Wrex, since we already know Gamescom demo will be the Sur'Kesh one AGAINMASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
Yeah. I know. But it's still nerve-racking lol. We still have little to no info for Miri. It's gonna be awhile. It'll be a miracle if they have something for Miri at Gamescom.

Miranda will be the XO of the Normandy or she won't be on the Normandy. None of the Mass Effect characters had a lower rank and less responsabilities from one game to an another.Skullheart wrote...
Mmm.. she wont be the XO, and I dont think she will be at the beginning of the game. So in wich way you think that she come back in ME3?

And if she's not on the Normandy, it means she won't be a squadmate for a long period. So no ME3 for me.
I like Kaidan. But if the XO of the Normandy is the VS, and if I have the possibility to replace him by Miranda, I will.

AW SON OF A--
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once again milking the damn me1 romancers. They are SO DAMN happy to see their liara over and over again. It's aggravating!!!!
I would LOVE to see footage of Miri for ME3 that many times!
This must be the me1 romancers' revenge. The Vs and Liaramancers had barely seen their li in ME2, so BioWare milking them is like revenge hitting us like a ton of bricks. And LOTSB is a prime example of the liaramancer having their blasted vengeance.

Realistically given that Miri can die in the SM and add to that the new players BW is trying to bring in that never got exposition to her in ME2 we're most likely going to get screwed. sry to be a downer but I have a feeling shes not going to get her fair shake in me3, But liara and the VS with their freaking plot armor are going to be forced on us. idk all I can do is hope and Ill play ME3 regardless to finish out the story but with one very sadface shepard lol.

XO of the Normandy isn't such a glorious rank, I wonder why this is so important to some people. Also, if she's that, we'll never to see her doing anything interesting. I'm far more interested in her doing important work, like collecting intelligence, analyzing Reaper capabilities etc. etc.. that way her competence could be shown instead of being just in her backstory.Yannkee wrote...

I'd prefer her to have a status outside the crew hierarchy. That would be more plausible anyway since she's not Alliance (and hopefully will never be).

No Miri No Buy?
It's not a matter of buying or not the game. I don't play to a game I know I'm won't enjoy.
If Miranda is not a squadmate for a long period, it will kill my enjoyment to play to ME3.

If prominent means that she stays behind a desk during the whole game. No thanks.

We have nothing but little confirmation of Miri existence, and that we'll be rewarded. But that's it? No screenshot, no footage of Miri?
This is completely nerve-racking. I don't care how long the me1 romancers had to wait for their li's to have something in me2/me3. And I don't care if they hardly saw their li in me2.
I played ME2 first. Most of the characters in me1 have little importance to me compared to the ME2 characters.

Pressly was XO in ME1 and he was extremely underused.
I only remember him at the beginning (first conversation you have with him, lots of info) and the end (when your going after Saren @ Illos.
His death was like (to me) 'oh well', it was so sudden.
Although his datapad on the Normandy crashsite made me wish he was still alive, poor guy =\\

He has about as much screentime in ME2 as he did in ME1..... that's sad.

Liara and the VS are only two. Plus Vega. These are the only fixtures at the start of the game, as far as anyone knows at the moment. All others are under the same constraint as Miranda, namely they can all die in ME2. I don't know the criteria they use to determine which characters return in which capacity, but in any combination of plot potential and popularity Miranda ranks at the top of those who can die.Spanky Magoo wrote...

Well, she could play a big part in some mission where she functions as a de facto third squadmate like Garrus did in his recruitment mission in ME2 or fulfill a role similar to Mordin's on Sar'kesh.
I don't want her for only some missions.
I want a real squadmate, with me on the batlefield. I want to hear her comments during missions and see her interact with other NPC.
I want a real character development with many dialogues and interactions with Shepard, something we can only have if she is there for a long period.

Now at the beginning of ME3, we are stuck with the vs and liara. Thank you BioWare. <_<
I don't think it will last until the end of the game. I can see some events and choice that can make them leave the ship.

You have a better chance of that with Miranda than I do with Zaeed.
Altough If it were up to me Miri would be taking the place of the dev's favorite Liara who's been shoehorned into being center stage yet again...

I'm used to ME2 more. I would expect to see more ME2 characters on my ship, especially Miri.
And the vs taking Miri's place as XO just makes it worse.
Sounds like a bunch of railroading to me.<_<
