Screen space, interaction and a role in the plot, that's what matters to me. I am interested in Miranda as a team member because there are more opportunities for her to comment, to banter and for me to interact with on missions. I also absolutely want her advice and comments in main plot missions.Seboist wrote...

No Miri No Buy?
It's not a matter of buying or not the game. I don't play to a game I know I'm won't enjoy. If Miranda is not a squadmate for a long period, it will kill my enjoyment to play to ME3.
What if she's a prominent npc?
If she's an NPC, there will be no banter and no in-mission comments. That would be very disappointing. it wouldn't be significantly different if she's only on the team for one mission. A big role in the plot can compensate somewhat for her absence, but that only goes so far.
@101:
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. My resentment of the ME1 team is growing steadily with every day....

We wont know until the game comes out I know but I just get a feeling that the ME1 squad are going to get more in the way of substantial gametime. This is based entirely on a gut feeling though so I take for what it is Im wrong sometimes but Im not as excited now as I was right after I beat ME2.Ieldra2 wrote...
Liara and the VS are only two. Plus Vega. These are the only fixtures at the start of the game, as far as anyone knows at the moment. All others are under the same constraint as Miranda, namely they can all die in ME2. I don't know the criteria they use to determine which characters return in which capacity, but in any combination of plot potential and popularity Miranda ranks at the top of those who can die.
Ill be really unhappy If the ME2 squad if left by the way side in favor of ME1 and new squaddies, That alone is what will determine if its a day 1 purchase or wait a while and get it for cheap.

ME1 feels like a prequel, in a sense. I only played ME1 to Feros, spare the Rachni Queen, save Kaidan, save ave the Council, and pick Anderson. NO romances.
It was tough getting through me1. Miri unseen was like the number one reason.
I want Beloved Miri on My Ship again.
I hate to see the majority being me1 characters on My Ship.

Yeah...isn't she the damned Shadow Broker? Doesn't she have more important things to do that gallivanting around the galaxy with Shepard? Or will we see a mobile Shadow Broker comm interface on the Normandy? Since I first met Miranda I wanted her as Shepard's primary intelligence gatherer. Instead Liara got that role, who was 100% unsuited for it in ME1. I like what Liara has become, but even though I like the result, it was character assassination.Seboist wrote...
Altough If it were up to me Miri would be taking the place of the dev's favorite Liara who's been shoehorned into being center stage yet again...

He's the leading man of ME2 as far as I'm concerned. He was my Shep's right hand man and her secret lover.

Well, she could play a big part in some mission where she functions as a de facto third squadmate like Garrus did in his recruitment mission in ME2 or fulfill a role similar to Mordin's on Sar'kesh.
I don't want her for only some missions.
I want a real squadmate, with me on the batlefield. I want to hear her comments during missions and see her interact with other NPC.
I want a real character development with many dialogues and interactions with Shepard, something we can only have if she is there for a long period.
You have a better chance of that with Miranda than I do with Zaeed.

I don't know for Zaeed, you know Aria as a temp squadmate is plausible considering the latest news, so why not Zaeed ?
Yeah Aria could have the same squadmate satus than Miranda in ME3 <_<

Yeah, I mean it's kinda sad that DLC characters have more of an impact that some characters that were in from the get go...but I don't want this to go the wrong path so I will leave it at that.

My gripe with Liara has nothing to do with Zaeed. Bioware had me go through all that trouble in LOTSB to make her the new Shadow Broker and now she's back to being center stage as a perm squadmate? It's clear they want their favorite indestrucable mary sue to take up as much spotlight as possible and be a breakout character.

Maybe because when the Reapers will knock on the door, they will have no choice. They will have to trust him, because he's the only one that can save their ass.

Huoh, I'd take SR1 over SR2 anyday. That ship had more feeling, than SR2 ever did.

Why that? I find the SR2 much better. More space, not so dark, more life on board. I also like the sleek appearance. The SR1 feels like an oldtimer in comparison.Melrache wrote...

Well, being someone who played ME2 first, I feel that way. The SR2 is my home. The SR1 was too different.

It just does, maybe it's not just the ship but the game overall, but still. It has way more feeling for me than SR2. Could be because SR2 is more like a flying hotel not a military vessel.

Yeah I know lol Im just saying Sheps getting railroaded by being put on trial for doing what a specter does and then hes got somebody he doesnt know and someone who flatout called him a traitor at his side going into the final battle, I think or I hope that He can pickup Miranda early on and have her set the record straight for the alliance faithful (possibly followed by a short stop on an uncharted world to drop off some unwanted passengers)

It's because you didn't see the SR2 in the middle of a giant spaceships battle yet.
Personally, I think the SR1 is a nice ship. But I prefer the SR2, especially the interior. I hope the Alliance won't screw everything.

Maybe that's it. I'm not a fan of the drab military look and I like that ME2 has a less military feel to it, that the crew has some space and there's a bar and a kitchen on the ship.Melrache wrote...

And that Miranda's office has a window into space.

Nah I loved SR1 ever since Eden Prime. It's partially because I don't feel like I am on a ship when moving around SR2. The badly placed cinematics and loading screens do a great job at removing that feel.
