As I said, LOL. It also means that Miranda and Kaidan will have different powers and possibly also different weapons.

I want that sniper rifle. I really like it. It seems a mix between an sniper rifle and an assault rifle.
Though I don't know if it can substitute the Widow in my Infiltrator/Soldier playtrough. I love the Widow on Insane :P

Hi everyone. Long time fan of Bioware games, though first-time poster on the forums. I thought I'd jump in on this thread because I'd love to see a lot more of Miranda in ME3.

I'm sure it's been addressed before in the thread (which unfortunately I have not had the chance to read entirely yet), but some kind of choice between Jack and Miranda strikes me as a likely entry point for Miranda in part 3, probably pretty early in the game. The substance of the choice would relate to how you want to deal with Cerberus and resolve that part of the story.

The Miranda/Jack tension develops pretty much along the same lines as the Tali/Legion tension in ME2, which I imagine will be another important choice, probably a bit later in the game. Ideally, if you support Miranda, she becomes a permanent member of the squad.

I think Casey Hudson stated that no one is a permanent squadmate, correct?

Could very well be, I haven't followed the developer chatter closely enough to be able to say. "Permanent" was really a poor choice of words on my part in any event. Available for a significant portion of the game (perhaps dependant on player choice) or something along those lines, was more what I had in mind.

Say if I resolve the issue between Miri and jack. Will that mean that Miri may not have as much content in the game?

Your guess is as good as mine. Obviously, to deal with all the ramifications of the first two games, the developers are going to have to come up with a much more flexible system for the squad than in previous games. Even a character like Garrus, who is pretty much Shepard's sidekick throughout, may be dead in the aftermath of the suicide mission.

So, I have to believe that there will be some tough choices to make. Some sort of confrontation between Miranda and Jack is pretty heavily teased in ME2, and we know fighting Cerberus is on the agenda. So, pure speculation, but I could see an either/or choice happening there, even if you resolve the situation without the death of either party through Paragon/Renegade options.

The thought had occurred to me, and I think it could be pretty awesome, actually, as well as hilarious. Dark blue or purple tech armor, as seen on the occasional mercenary in ME2, with a sleek black outfit underneath perhaps. Everybody wins.

Like I've said before, nothing wrong with bouncing in the breeze. Gabby would agree.

I don't think it'll happen (though I like the idea). She's already one of the best (if not the best) squadmates in ME2. With Tech Armor, she'll be seriously overpowered.
Btw, about the colour of the Tech Armour, I'd like to have the options to choose the colour of it in ME3, since  we have blue Tech Armour in ME2. Since the Sentinel is a mix of biotic and tech skills, I wand a purple or dark blue  Tech armour for my Sentinel. Though I doubt that I'll get this too.

Tech armor + her current abilities would actually be a pretty sick combo, come to think of it. Not that I would mind. But tech armor might replace overload, leaving room for a unique/new ability.

Kaidan might end up with overload and biotic barrier, by contrast, as the other sentinel-esque squad member available.

I don't see her using tech armor for some reason, she doesn't strike me as a front line soldier like Kaidan is.

Normandy Armory

Shepard: (hands Miranda the Cerberus rifle) For you.

Miranda I see the Illusive Man finally got  rifles that match the commando's armor.

Shepard: It also matches your uniform.

Miranda: (chuckles) Some women have matching handbags, I have a sniper rifle that matches my outfit. Thank you Shepard, I have one question though.

Shepard: And what might that be?

Miranda: Does it come in black?

But I'm thinking she has this when you first meet her in ME3!

Sentinels shouldn't have sniper rifles.
I want each class to retain their weapon restrictions.

Tech armor would be a great power for Miranda because it would give her more protection without restricting her agility in combat.

I was saying that for shiggles mostly, because of those that think every one needs to be a walking tank.

On the subject of Jack and Miranda, I could see the animosity between them turning into a sort of friendly rivalry, something akin to the Isabela/Aveline dynamic in Dragon Age 2.  A Miranda the resigned from Cerberus might be on the path towards earning at least a grudging respect from Jack. Either that or the two of them are going to go back and forth with eachother.

Jack: So the engine room huh? Never could have guessed  you like it rough.

Miranda: I don't know what you're talking about.

Jack: 'course you don't, you and the Bossman wern't knocking boots in the engine room, that was just the sink tanks sounding like they were enjoying it.

Miranda: You heard us all the way down in the cargo hold?! I thought the drive core would block out everything!

Jack: Look, the engine room's built like a huge resonance chamber, you go trying that again and everyone on the deck's going to hear you. Access tunnel that runs between the AI core and the CIC deck's nice and quiet though, it's right between the hull baffles.

Miranda: I can't believe you're actually are giving me advice that doesn't involve jumping out of an airlock.

Jack: And I can't believe that you're acting like a stuck-up ****. Guess that's the nice thing about the robot apocalypse, it brings people together.

If they give Miranda Tech Armor, I could live with that and it would be
rather funny. To make up for it, they simply have to increase the enemy
threat.

Though I like the sniper rifle, I think weapon restricitions should apply to Miranda as well.

I'm currently working on my Miranda romance playthrough.
