I understand that they believe she is of the same nationality since she is modeled after Yvonne, but, 'Lawson' is a straight-forward English name.

I detest Jack. I never take her in my squad. She died in my Suicide Mission because I chose Miranda over her, and I sent her on the diversion team while Samara, Miranda, and Grunt went about passing through the seeker swarms.

Australian accents and English accents are very close. It's hard to tell them apart if you're not used to hearing traditional English people speak, and traditional Australian people speak.

Lawson can't be her real name. Heck, I doubted she was called Miranda until Niket came along.

It hasn't been an 'I hate x character' thread. The only reason I posted that picture is because it promotes Miranda, not because I hate Jack.

Its was 0530 Tuesday Morning on SR2 Normandy  Miranda awoke  and as per her usual  morning routine she went the Mess to have morning cup of Coffee and  Scone. Only to find out from   Sgt  Gardner that  Grunt had the night before  came in the mess and nearly  storage totally desvasting Miranda  Scone  suppy. Now this may seem like a minor offical but on ship like the  Normandy on its mission it  rather hard to get barkery made  Dougnuts. Miranda had to go through serveral of black market channels to  even them on  ships... to she was not  pleased would an understate.

0730 

Grunt arrived in  the Medical   Dr. Chakawa and with the help Mordin treat him   for list of injuries that would to long  fit in on datapad.   Shephard and  Garrus arrived   the Commander  asking Grunt what happen to which  Grunt  Replied.

Grunt: I would  take your second as mate but  I think she might just kill me  in the process

Shepard  

Mordin: Grunt  - violated  Ms. Lawson  "private"  supply of  rare earth pastries  

The Commander looked at Miranda with drinking coffee going of some reports when he thought about asking her what happened she looked with a glare that give the Reapers pause to which  Shepard replied

Shepard : I Should  go - Garrus may need help with those callobration 

Both making an hasty exit.

EDI posted a warning on Miranda personal  storage that and attempt to take from this would result in a fate  worst than death.

Ironically, that's exactly what I used to think of MirandaB), except unlike Jack, Miranda didn't deserve deserve to be one. 

I find her story line appealing, I think her own burdens are woven within her, so some people will understand, and some people won't.

For one, Miranda is on the run. It makes no sense for her to use her family name, especially since she even uses half of it as a username on a dating site. It just makes her easier to find.
And then, Shepard didn't recognize the name "Lawson" who, supposedly, belongs to one of the richest humans in the Galaxy.

I am most likely going to have a  play through  into ME 3 with all 3 of   LI  - just to see how they play  out in the game and considering they are talk  the lvl cap being 60  there is  going Epic amounts of ass getting whooped

We know that she called herself as Lawson. It could be possible that her surname is a fake. Her father is a very rich and powerful man, and he is, according to the mercenary in Miranda's LM, the richest man in the galaxy. I think that if her surname is really "Lawson" Shepard could know who her father is (unless he's completely dumb). Even within her contacts she's known as "Lawson" Considering how poweful his father is, I'd use another surname.

Meh, I personally stick with her given name. I trust game wikis more than I trust the games themselves. If she had a complete history before she became 'Miranda Lawson' it would be on there for everyone to read and understand.
