Meh, I personally stick with her given name. I trust game wikis more than I trust the games themselves. If she had a complete history before she became 'Miranda Lawson' it would be on there for everyone to read and understand.

Meh?
You do realize  that, not only is the wiki written by fans like you and me who base themselves on what is presented during the game, but also that Miranda's story is not over yet?
Should I have presumed before "Evolution" came out  that The Illusive Man's name was, in fact, Illusive Man?

One of the things I want more than anything in ME3 is more gameplay. Most of the game is talking, and I didn't realize how quickly the missions go if you just skip the conversations. XD

You literally turn and corner and you find what you need.

It was Jack Harper. XD
And the Wiki explains why he became the Illusive Man. I do understand that, but I myself have wonderful experience with the wikis.

You mean like the histories that every other character had?  The wikis are hardly complete, not to mention that they're fan-made, based on published information.  Miranda's history before she joined up with Cerberus has never been touched upon in any of the games/books/comics.  It's not that she was always Miranda Lawson, or that there was a time when she wasn't, we just don't know yet.

ME wiki explain why he became TIM after Evolution was release. Before that in ME wiki there was nothing about his past. The wikis is based on what the people know. Before Evolution came out, we didn't know who TIM was, what was his name, and his history before he became TIM. We don't know quite nothing about Miranda's father. And he should be quite famous since he's the richest human in the galaxy.
Before Bioware decided to show (if they want to) Miranda's father, everything is possible.

And I recognize that. But until I am told otherwise, I'm going to stick with the 'Lawson' name.

The wiki explains it because the people who manage it read it in "Evolution". They didn't receive a special bulletin from the Bioware writers. They know as much as you and I do.
And the wiki is hardly reliable in the first place. For example, it claims that Cerberus was behind "Colony of the Dead" and that Shiala can kiss Shepard. Both are untrue.

See this is what happens. I have not read the books nor the comics. I sincerely hope I won't miss out on anything in ME3 for this. :(

I don't read the comic, only the info I could find on different sources, but he seemed to resist indoctrination (I don't know at what point of the comics his eyes changed, though. ), while his friend became indoctrinated (and a lot of Turians too).
Check his page on ME wiki. Anyway, with Evolution I could somehow understand if he's indoctrinated in ME3, even if this is one of my fear for ME3.

possible  but that seems like some fanon -   if was in league with the Reapers why stop the Collectors and foil their  evil plot.

I think they may be some kind of implant but we will see... knowing how Bioware develops villians we my  never  know

I found this on The King Of Hate Forums:

"Ok. I just read the Mass effect 2 comic book thing, and the Illusive Man's eyes are NOT human. They are metallic machine eyes. At the ending, IF you didnt destroy the collectors base, his eyes become really blue like hes sending a signal. So there is this rumor... he Illusive man was lieing and used Commander Shepard so the Reapers can attack Earth. In short, there is a rumor that: 1.He works for the Reapers. 2.He is a Human Reaper.3. He is a nomal Reaper.Or: 4.Cerberus works for the Reapers. None of these might be true but he really does have metallic eyes and his eyes were really blue in the renegade ending. "

In my opinion he wasn't indoctrinated in ME2. I don't want to see him indoctrinated. But I they'll go in the indoctrination route, I think that this will be connected to what happened on Shanxi with the artifact.

That's probrably just the ligthing.
And if he was indocrinated in ME2, why give Shepard the tools to destroy the Human Reaper.
But yeah, his eyes are not human. They became like that after indirectly touching a Reaper artifact.

Perhaps he was indoctrinated after giving us the tools.

I haven't either, but I guess I knew his real identity thanks to the boards. As for Miranda's real name, I'm beginning to agree with the assumption she's either an "Eldfell" or an "Ashland" and that "Miranda" is probably not her real first name either.
