I think I'm one of the few who don't want her to be a permanent squadmate, it'd limit her contribution to the war, and as I said before, Miranda is much more than a foot soldier, let her join us for some time, help us take down Cerberus and then leave to do her thing, otherwise she's just reduced to a mere follower who has almost no hook points in the bigger picture like Garrus for instance.

Some of you may argue that she can make that contribution while on the Normandy and they're right but it won't give her the same air of independence that she'd have if she left, also a large role with her leaving may include The Illusive Woman scenario which I really hope comes to reality.

Yeah, I think just having her join up without a diehard reason (which, yes Saving the Galaxy is one, but I doubt she would just be like 'Hey...I'm bored, let's do it.) would sort of diminish her character. Like in ME2, she was present because he was the Lazarus Project, and it was her presence for that project that pulled her into the adventures of the game. She isn't a follower, though, like I said, saving the galaxy is a high stakes situation. XD It wouldn't be as easy as recuriting your squad from the first game is pretty much what I'm trying to say.

Yeah, I can't see Miranda as a static NPC. Oddly enough, I do think that could potentially work for Mordin, who is another favorite of mine, as long as he joins you for a specific mission or two on the squad. Mordin seems quite at home in the lab.

RE: powers, I would like to see Slam, Warp and the group combat buff return. Overload is more negociable. Obviously there needs to be a tech power, but it could be something like Sabotage or tech armor as well. And some sort of unique power.

Not my first concern because I already romanced her in ME2, but Miranda not squadmate in ME3 certainly means : Miranda not available for new romance, therefore no s/s romance.

Not necessarily. You can continue a (sort of) romance with Liara. Though, when they had the Q&A this morning, and I asked about Miranda, he said that Miranda has unfinished business with Shepard especially if you romanced her. I'm pretty close to betting just about anything that there will be romance with her in the third game, but I completley understand your sketchy feeling towards not having a romanceable Miranda.

It would break my heart if such didn't happen.Posted Image

No I'm not saying that we won't be able to continue the romance, I'm saying that she won't be available for new romance (for those who didn't romance her in the previous game).

Oh, I do hope there's tension between the VS and Miranda. And friendship w/ Liara.

I also heared that Miri will have some "unfinished business" with Shepard. I like the sound of that.

As do I. I spammed the chats for the good of the Mirimancers this morning, and I'm glad that's what he rewarded me with. :DD

A screenshot or concept art would be lovely. Maybe in the fall.

I actually think we might get more information on the game once Battlefield, and Revelations and all of the other games are released, so they can have their run of fame, and then they can try and get their eyes on Mass Effect.

Oh yes, now I understand.

I feel like that should be a punishment for those who made the mistake of not romancing her in the first place. XD

"Hmm. @PWatamaniuk?? "@JGr4nlund: In ME3, can i have two permanent squadmates of the same class for my ME3 "Core-squad"? eg. Kaidan/Miranda"

I can tell you what the answer will be: "If there are two permanent squadmates of the same class, of course you can have both on your core squad".

I only remember tweeting Casey Hudson about that... And Mac Walters... Possibly Christina Norman... Casey Hudson actually twice... fffffff
Eh, i should get something else to do than trolling the poor (+2 Renegade) developers.
Hmm... Maybe i should get a girlfriend start building my very own Tali... From a leftover of few hundred toilet paper rolls...
Anyway i hope Miranda will have a place on the team alongside Ashley. Those two and Shepard against the reapers...Posted Image

S/s romance ? I doubt it will happen if she's not a squadmate or on the Normandy for a long period.

Also :

"Is it possible in #ME3 to romance characters that WERE available as LIs in ME1/2 but we didn't romance them back then?"

Mac Walters
@LittleWorldHere #ME3 Good question. The answer: Some, but not all.

No, like those who could and didn't choose to. My comment is nothing more than a joke, not going after those who wanted to romance her, but couldn't because of the s/s character availabilities.

I'd like her to be available for new people. I've made my peace with the ME2 romance, but I think an ME3 romance will fit better.

I think with the 'unfinished business' with Shepard, and her major role in the story, the romance will be there for everyone.

See Mac Walters response in my pervious post.

And I don't think there should be a punishment.

We can hope so. But it depends on Miranda being present and available for interaction for a significant and continuous part of the game. Else the "getting to know each other" period will be too short for a romance to be believable.

The "unfinished business" part suggests mostly that the romance will carry over from ME2. If she's not on the squad throughout the game, then I would guess that you might not be able to romance her without importing from ME2.

And, honestly, that might be good. There's no point in having some sort of rushed Act II quickie romance or whatever.

That will not please those who hope for a s/s romance. They can't go back to ME2 and romance her.
