Mordin's lab if anything. But for me Miranda's office is hers, whatever the Alliance says, and if the VS gets Miranda's office (s)he'll be dubbed The Usurper. I hope they've refitted the SR2 so that I don't need to do that. Apart from that, I harbor some resentment for the Alliance for various reasons. Were it not for the Reaper threat, I'd throw my reinstatement back in their face and take off with the SR2....somewhere.

I like what I'm hearing. It's tragic, but still.

Very interesting - even though it is a summary, sounds like the encounter with the VS starts with the VS in the hotseat holding someone/thing hostage, or as a bargaining chip? Ooh...let the conspiracy theories commence! Drama and confrontation, I like it...at this stage anyway, it could turn out to be a bit of a damp squib but of course there's only so much to go on.

Not to say that I am against but that  just (at least to me) come of  poor  attempt at creating drama .  It needs to be done a lot better fashion.

Agreed. I like Ashley and Kaidan well enough, but if they usurp the office, they are dead to me. They will be dubbed the VSFABMO... Virmeer Survivor For a Brief Moment Only

That appears like the VS is holding something hostage. More likely doing the killing than being the recipient of it. Apart from that, I think it is possible that the VS will turn on you depending on past decisions, but it won't be unavoidable.

And perhaps it's just that they found a traitor. Or what Ashley/Kaidan believes to be one.

Probably not what it's referring to, but I can definitely see the VS regarding Miranda as a traitor. She was Cerberus for her entire adult life, only ending her association with them somewhere between six months and five seconds ago. Objectively speaking, she belongs in jail for a long time. And now Cerberus appears to be working with the Reapers.

As did I. I don't understand how Tali is such a hit. Yes, I think she is a sweet character with an interesting history, but I'm not completely obsessed with her.

I don't think she'll be with us from the start. She'll still be wanted by the Alliance for her Cerberus association, and that she resigned doesn't automatically make her a friend of the Alliance. I also prefer it that way. If she's not with us from the start, she can do her own thing and join us later. As long as that isn't too late, I will be content.

I myself would be perfectly fine if she wasn't a permanent squadmate. I would be disappointed, but that can be made up for as long as she gets major screen time (which they've said she will). So basically, I'm happy.

I asked them in the Q&A. I believe the only thing they're doing with the SR-2 is a new paintjob, and some new tech upgrades for an Alliance Navy Ship. Other than that, they're keeping it the same because it's super costly to rebuild the ship from the ground up.

The only concrete thing they could charge Miranda with is "membership in a terrorist organization", if there's a law against that in Alliance legislation, and such laws are frequently challenged as being "political justice". I can see Ashley and Kaidan seeing her as a traitor, but Ashley in particular shouldn't throw stones with her attitude to non-humans, and Kaidan isn't the type to react impulsively. 

I can see a situation where we must choose between them, though. Sort of another Virmire. Particularly dramatic if both have been your LI at some time or the other. Yes, I can definitely see the story going there.

I actually really like that scenario. I romanced Ashley in the first game, but I'll throw her to the dogs in less than two seconds for Miss Miranda Lawson.

BTW; this is just off my head: has anyone noticed that Shepard's team hasn't got a scientist yet? None of the confirmed characters are scientists, and I suspect that the new female team member will be that mysterious "vigilante" woman, that doesn't sound like a scientist either.

Or we could stop worrying about those little polls lol. Miranda's popularity is not an issue. I'm sure if we saw the stats on most used and most romanced from ME2, we'd get a good laugh out of it. Whatever her role in the game ends up being, it's not going to be reduced due to lack of popularity.

Story reasons, maybe, or Bioware simply not wanting to repeat themselves by having the same lead squadmate in consecutive games.

Yeah I noticed that too, but isn't Liara a scientists of sorts. No tech expert that's for sure, though.

This is why  Imma have  at least 3  Male Shephards,   the Vanguard is paired with Tali,     My   Sentinel    Jake and my   Infiltrator   Mira...  I am fans of all three  for  various reasons.... Which is why I  despised that  cat  fight between  Jake and Mira  it just took away from each character and could  have been done alot better.
