I like Jack, too, but I don't mind that the two characters are in conflict. I guess it could have been done better, but then so many things could, at least theoretically. I thought it was a good choice to have two squadmates butt heads like that, as well as Tali and Legion later.
As did I. (The Miri/Jack fight was an easy decision for me though. If I had to choose between Tali and Legion, that would have been a little harder)

Its not the conflict that bothers its how they pulled it and what it boiled down ... poorly covered way to just to get the two human LI to fight each. The Legion/ Tali conflict was alot better because that was dealing with there to race going to full blown all out head to head warfare.
Like I stated the conflict is not the problem its how they used that conflict that is problem.

That's what it will come down to. I have tried, several times, to play an ME2 game where I stayed with Ashley and romanced no one in ME2. It didn't work. Miranda always gets me. I can't even do it for the sake of seeing where things will go. I will always find my Shepard kissing Miranda and after her "stop smiling, damn it" there is no going back.LexieTheT-Rexy wrote...

I can see a situation where we must choose between them, though. Sort of another Virmire. Particularly dramatic if both have been your LI at some time or the other. Yes, I can definitely see the story going there.
I actually really like that scenario. I romanced Ashley in the first game, but I'll throw her to the dogs in less than two seconds for Miss Miranda Lawson.
My main maleShep left her on Virmire though. Hope Kaidan is a little more appreciative of my supercompetent operative and her achievements, last but not least bringing Shepard back from the dead.

And, if I have to choose between Kaidan and Miranda, someone's going to have to save me from being curled up in a ball in front of the screen.Only thing worse is Liara vs. Miranda.

Hahahaha! I haven't even tried not to romance her. I know it's completely futile. XD
I think if you kept Kaidan he will be more appreciative. He's pretty much always behind your decisions is he not (of course, I only played through ME1 once due to lack of Miranda-ness, and I kept Ash; so I don't know how the Horizon interaction went about)

It'd be retarded on BioWare's part if she didn't but I'm 100% sure that she still is Miranda. I don't think you need to worry about that.Arijharn wrote...
I need Yvonne to reprise her role, it just wouldn't be Miranda otherwise imo

Oh yeah, no worries. She's already signed on to be the voice of Miranda.

We've all been there haha. I wanted to try something different on one of my 8 playthroughs (just started #9!), and tried romancing Tali. Was able to stick to it, but couldn't help flirting with Miranda....
Also, almost 400 pages! We win.

Yvonne is the only Miri. Miri IS Yvonne.
Pretty much, yeah. And she is the voice and face model, which isn't true of a lot characters. I think if I had to pick the one aspect of the character I like the most, it would actually be the voice. I love her accent, for one thing. It gives her speech a slightly hard edge, which is perfect for the character.

Yeah I tried twice to get a playthrough with just Ashley as my LI and I ended up with Miranda, and only AFTER the SM did I realise I was suppose to NOT romance anyone in ME2, oh well...

I did yes. I found Miranda (some how, I think I found a video about her on Youtube. Fate at work, I suppose), fell in love with her, then found that she was in Mass Effect 2, and then I rushed to play it, before ME1.

I did.
But then I played ME1 later on. It felt less then ME2. Dumbed down in other word. I stayed loyal to Miri of course:wub:. I was lonely without her.
And during the events of ME1, there is no doubt that Miri didn't know I my existance.

Well I can only speak for the myself but Tali thread they just keep beating a dead horse of the same subjects over and over again...
Conversation here to more balanced and relax - I poped in there and they were still go one about dextro - thing. I'm really kinda past that. No talk about what the Homeworld would be like , Religon, Culture, Hell you find tablets with quarian writing on them. No talk about that.... so yeah just come her... better conversation over all.

No.
I've played ME1 since it was released on PC (june 2008).
And I'm a Bioware fan since Baldur's Gate 2.

Ashley's the only one who got the short and of the stick where I regret it, because I really like Ashley. I don't care much about Tali except as a friend and not about Jack in any capacity. Liara's for one of my femSheps - I wonder how that will play out, with May Shepard being a Cerberus true believer and Renegade. She'll be especially angry at TIM for turning against her.mranderson25 wrote...

But there's no way around it. Lt.Williams, even upgraded to Spectre, isn't a match for the awesome Ms. Lawson.

I think that's probably because most everything about Miranda is a mystery or up to interpretation, so therefore, we have bunches to talk about. But I'm glad you enjoy being here.

No. I've been with Mass Effect since ME1 came out for the PC in 2008. I've always liked the universe and the story very much, but only Miranda transformed me into a crazy fan people would look at strangely if they knew about my obsession.jreezy wrote...

As for earlier games, I've played BG1 and BG2 and KotOR. Skipped NWN. I'm a great fan of DAO and an almost equally great detractor of DA2.

Bought ME1 after seeing trailers and whatnot for ME2 thinking it looked cool, but i wanted to play the first one for the story. Ended up loving it, and bought ME2 as soon as it released, and the rest is history. Granted i've played ME2 more than ME1, but i still enjoy both. Like i said, i just started an ME1 playthrough, this time as femshep though, just to change things up.
