It wasn't completely private....Kasumi knows about the rendevous.  But, she knows pretty much everything that happens on the ship so I guess it can be forgiven.

Yeah, Kasumi could have known even if they did this in Shepard's bathroom.

Seriously, if you really were Shepard could you honestly say you would object to hooking up with Miranda in the Engineering room?  I would go pretty much anywhere she wanted.

True.
But maybe I would have bring some pillows. :P

The dialogue irks me more than anything, so I always ask her to wait till after the mission.

I just imagine after the SM, Shepard takes his crew to Illium or something for a nice celebration party with the left over credits. Miranda and Shepard then slip off to a nice hotel or something, order some room service dinner, you know the cliche-cheesy hotel romance stuff. I'm a sucker for it :/. The two spend a nice night together. And head back to the Normandy the next morning.

That sounds great, except for the "we are about to go on a mission that might kill us all" thing.  IMHO in that situation I would have no problem getting toghether one time just in case the SM doesn't turn out so well.

Very true, I could try and make a crude "cushion for the pushin" joke but that might be out of place here...;)

Actually "Damn it--you're right" leads to a very good and romantic scene:

Shepard lowers his head and shifts around.

Shepard: This isn't the time to be getting involved, is it?

Miranda lifts her head to look at Shepard.

Miranda: No. I don't think it is.

Miranda stands up moves closer to Shepard.

Shepard: Maybe someday, after we save the galaxy?

Miranda and Shepard lightly grip each other's hands. Miranda smiles...

Miranda: Let's see how it goes. Until then... friends?

Shepard nods and Miranda walks back to her desk.

Would I not fear that this will close off further involvement for ME3, I'd use this option most of the time.

@Yannkee:
Yes, I, too, would've brought some pillows into the engine room

 I am laughing so hard at you right now you have no idea.  No offence or anything just... :lol::lol:

I'm imagining Sheploo taking some pillows down the elevator and then Miranda seeing him with a "you can't be cereal face" :P

I agree there is nothing wrong with doing the Engine Room scene, but I find the "wait" dialogue more romantic and a better story :-). To me she seemed quite appreciative/impressed that you chose to wait. Plus it gives my Shepard all the more reason to live. I also roleplay him a little arrogant around the SM. I love the renegade line right after you crash land.

Shepard: I don't know about you guys, but I plan for us to live and talk about how we stopped the Collectors.
Joker: I'm glad you're in charge.

was I the only one who noticed that when she says "I rebuilt you remember? and I do damn good work." she looks at shep's crotch? makes me wonder how extensive the cybernetic implants are. Posted Image

Shades of Vanilla Sky...I was always apprehensive about picking that option, so I never did, but I am working through another playthrough presently and I think I will try it out.  It does sound more romantic.

I agree.

Personally I don't have problems with that scene, it's a very passionate scene and I think it fits well their personality.Of course it's not perfect, especially the animations ... but hopefuly we'll have a perfect scene in ME3. ;)

Everyone is having a good time talking to each other on the support thread. And left alone in the benches. :( I'm afraid of saying anything else. I may ****** people again. It's not fair. I'm like a punching bag to them. They make me feel like a first rate moron. A moron whose only share his SUPPORT for Miri in his OWN way. Not being entitled to do so is in justice. T____T

Back to Miranda: I approve of bringing pillows to the engine room:happy:

Miranda's scene seemed to be the most passionate of all the MaleShep LI options.  As much as I like it, I don't think it tops any of the LI sequences in ME1.  Those seemed to me to be better written and animated.  I share your sentiment about what we will see in ME3.

Do you think the scenes should be a little longer in duration?  I am not talking about more time spent showing the actual act, it seems like all the LI scences could benefit from a longer set up.  More dialog and exposition, not more...cuddling...

Nothing wrong with cuddling. At least it an alternative since they can't very well show any more sex scenes.

Personally I prefer to have the engine room scene. But my Shepard is not optimistic, and I don't promise her not to die. I also agree with her about our chance to survive, after the crash on the collector base.
I think it brings tension during the suicide mission (which I like to play with casualties), and it makes the last moments epic : Shepard catch Miranda during the human reaper fight, Miranda catch Shepard on the Normandy ...
And, against all odds, they both survive. And ...
