Jack is one badass chick, without a doubt and a powerful biotic but she lacks control and in a real fight I think Miranda could not only out think her but eventually out fight her as well. Hopefully though if there is a fight, you won't have to make a decision that causes you lose their loyalty. That was one part of the confrontations in ME 2 I did not like.
I hate losing characters loyalty over some stupid argument or something, drives me nuts.

LoL ash vs miranda would result in awesome= "Shepard is Mine"! scene. you know like the Sparta scene. seriously I think their will be a lot tension anyway even if you didn't romance Ashley in ME 1, since Ash is very anti Cerberus and she makes that clear on Horizon. Either way I think things are going to be very interesting on the Normandy once Ash steps onboard, can't wait to see what happens.
Once more, I exclaim: HUZZAH!

Bolded for truth - I made the point back with the game first came out and some people thought I was crazy...

For what it's worth, I agree as well. But this isn't Mortal Kombat. I don't think we're going to see them step into an arena and duke it out. I hope the writers come back to the tension that is there, but both characters may have changed quite a bit by then, and the situation will have changed. So, it could go down very differently from what we would expect.

Yeah but Garrus and the Turians do have a good system with the sparring the ship and letting the fight it out in controled way. There was great episode of the New Battlestar Galactica that where it was a tradition that the Capt or Admiral could set up the ring and anyone could call anyone out. It was very control the worst some would get be a some black eyes and blood noses. I can see something like that happening.

You never know. I guess the model in game would be the Samara/Morinth situation, so some equivalent to that might be possible.
Its more of "Okay you two in the Ring Fight out beat each other senseless and after words its done". No 'Me' or 'Her" choices. After surviving the Collector Base together you don't go through that with someone and form some kind of bond.

I see what you're saying. ME tends to be built around choices the player/protagonist can make, so something like this strikes me as less likely in this particular setting, but you never know.

Yeah but it would be nice - a good way to show how the crew has come together and make them feel like a real crew on a ship... ya know. The choice could be if Shepard takes a challenge from Crew memember ot not.

Or, another idea, you could place bets on the outcome of these brawls between missions

Ash: I can drill him between the eyes from a hundred meters.
Miranda: As can I.
Ash: Should we tell him to start running, make things a little more interesting?
Miranda: We can try that after I bring him back again.
Ash: I like how you think.
Shepard: (running for the door) I should go!

Judging from Miranda's line if you romance someone else in ME2 I don't think a Shepard who glossed over his relationship with Ash is going to fair too well.

Hah, I can totally picture that going down. May do a file like that just to see it now.

My strategy was to wait for the romance latei in the game so now I am about to go do the reaper IFF and go to talk to Miri and didn't get the sit on the couch scene. What did i do wrong? Should I have not said it was nice to see her smile?
Any info would be great.

@Made Nightwing, I don't believe any offense was intended by the airlock comment, but rather it was meant to simply be a jocular (and admittedly somewhat roundabout) way of expressing affection for Miranda.
I know, and I kinda overreacted, but the reason I enjoy hanging out here is that I can usually say that I like Ash as well as Miranda without getting a 'Lol, ****, airlock' response.
On topic:
A while back, I had an idea I like to call 'Badass Reappearance'. From the scanty information available, and drawing from assumptions based on previous Bioware games, we'll probably be starting on the Normandy with only the VS and Vega as our squadmates (Which, if Shepard is a soldier and Ashley is the VS is going to lead to some major overkill in the first few missions). As we go about our buisness of re-assembling the squad, I wonder if Bioware is going to give each main character from the previous games a good reintroduction, to display a reskin or new role.
*SPOILER* For Mordin, we see him on Sur'Kesh, doin' his whole 'path of redemption' thing. *SPOILER*
For Jacob, I proposed that he storm onto the battlefield in a captured Cerberus mech to help Jacob out. For Garrus, more sniping seems appropriate. Any thoughts/ideas/hopes for Miranda's comeback?

I got some talk of her father and mother and Cerberus but nothing that would progress the romance along. I admit i am tired and about to sleep but do i judt not remember this or did i truly FUBAR the deal?

Aren't the two other conversations the couch scene, and the "promise me dammit" scene?

Just bought the first season of Chuck, and can I say, it shows Yvonne Strahovski's versatility as an actress that she can pull off two similar characters (on the surface) like Sarah Walker and Miranda Lawson, yet still make them such individuals.
Chuck's easily the most underrated show on TV and because NBC was stupid enuff to play a nerdy spy comedy on MONDAY at 8pm going up against House (longtime timeslot bomb) and Dancing with Stars (capitalizing on the increasing stupidity of American TV viewers), it's always on the chopping block. Chuck's the first show in a long time where I feel like all the interactions between the characters are genuine.
