So you're the one ^_^
Excellent work, this is so believable that it could be an official ME3 concept art.

Now all we have to do is wait for the actual BioWare Concept Art for Miri, if we ever see any.

I think one of the biggest things they could do for Miranda's appearance is improve her hair. I like the hairstyle but more texture, resolution, and movement in game would be awesome. Hair is such a big part of tasteful sexiness, no helmet head, plz

The devs said that with the new engine version hair should look better, I think. And for concep art it should be great if the first showed is one from Patryk (the guy who won bw fanart contest, and now is working with them).

I like the style.

But I'm beginning to wonder if it's impossible to draw women without high heels. Next I look, they'll draw them with high heels in biology books :pinched:

That's a pretty good design. I actually think it's a little too busy, but the colors, and the...layers thing she has going on...good stuff.

Hair style still needs to change, of course...maybe. If the new hair still doesn't look quite good enough.

Speaking of new tech in ME3...

The lighting in screenshots like this makes Miranda's skin look so much better. Didn't someone here do some work to change their settings so it ended up like this? I don't have ME2 on PC, but I'm still curious what they did.

I know, I broke a personal rule when I put her in heels :C

I usually never draw female characters in heels (especially when they get into situations like Miranda does) because it just doesn't make sense, but considering she did in ME2 I worked them in. I think it kind of fits into her modus operandi- she can do everything shepard can and do it while looking flawless in heels XD

they DID turn out a bit higher than I had originally intended, though.

Hopefully the armor will remain optional.

I agree mate.

Great Sketch Spirituality, a concept like that would certainly be acceptable.

I recognize one of my screenshot (I don't mind that people download and use my screenshots, but please no need to re upload it on an another photo sharing account).

I edited the system settings file (deactivate and change some graphic / shadow effects of the game), and I use a program to force Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic filter : Nhancer (only works with an Nvidia card).

I wish you hadn't broken that rule. The rest of it looks *really* good. I think it's a good compromise between looking lightly armored and showing off her curves.  Nice colors, too, and it looks as if she has a number of pockets - very useful.

I think there are three things missing for a good combat outfit for her:
(1) Lower the heels.
(2) Close her neckline.
(3) Put some texture on the torso part so that it looks like it has a little thickness.

I've heard before that it's quite possible that you might be able to swap out people as permanent members of the crew, or something along those lines; which would be a good way to incorporate the crew from ME2 into the action if they survived.

Some interchangeability in the main squad is certainly one of those ideas that gets brought up, but there are some big design issues there, especially to the extent that every squad member behaves differently, has individualized banter, etc. throughout the game.

That said, we already know that Ashley/Kaidan will work in essentially that way, so it's not out of the question, I suppose, that another slot or two could potentially be filled by a couple of different characters.

Really the only solution that is mechanically simple would be to essentially cameo everyone who might be dead. Certain ME2 squad members, such as the DLC characters, will probably be cameo'd, but it sounds like most of the returning characters will be temporary squad members at least. That means that the game will be making bigger adjustments than we have seen in the past.

I think the status of the old team members - i.e. if they're dead or alive - will influence the story. Basically, I can see two "switches": dead or alive and one decision in the ME3 plot that will affect them greatly.  Which means there are three ways their story arc can go:

(1) dead in the ME2 SM, with effects on the missions where they would have had an impact.
(2) turned hostile or indifferent to Shepard in ME3 (may result in death or leavetaking)
(3) allied with Shepard until the end (death in combat may still be possible, but will be avoidable).

This mainly for those team members who can join Shepard's team at least temporarily. Cameo'd character may still have a small influence on the story, but their story arcs - if they have them - will play out off-screen.

About Miranda and armor again:

It is a misperception that those who dislike Miranda's catsuits want her to walk around in some armor of the kind Shepard is wearing.

There are a number of minimum requirements for Miranda's combat outfit as I see it:

(1) It should have a perceptible thickness. No "painted-on pants", please, and you shouldn't be able to see the navel. Her current loyalty outfit looks almost see-through around her waist.
(2) No high heels. No compromise.
(3) No cleavage. It should cover everything from the neck down but her hands, including the vitals. Gloves are optional but appreciated.
(4) Where real-world clothing, no matter how tight-fitting, wouldn't follow the contours of her body, her in-game outfit should avoid doing that as well. This is closely related to (1), but more specialized: if you look at the white catsuit around her chest and her ass, you'll notice that the outfit is deliberately made to violate this principle, which is the main reason it comes across as "cheap and blatantly overdone fanservice" instead of just "fanservice".

I think it's easy to see that following these guidelines wouldn't make Miranda's outfits look bulky, necessarily.

I don't get how Miranda can walk around in all those planets wearing high heels! I mean, the one time I wore high heels I tripped over, like 10 times! Her genetic tailoring must have made her unable to lose balance. I'm soooo jelous lol.

About the armour, I'm alright with it as long as it is not bulky, like some of you have said. She would look weird with bulky armour, I think but in light armour she'd look fine. But the catsuit suits her so I'm good either way.

Genetic engineering can't make problems caused by basic physics go away. On most surfaces we walk in the ME games (aside from the hubs) a woman would kick off her heels after five seconds. Soft earth, gravel, craggy rock, snow, broken-up tarmac, and to say nothing of those metal walkways. it's just ridiculous.

I hate artistic license when it goes totally overboard. That I hate high heels on women in RL doesn't make it better.

I also think that Miranda will spend the two months between ME2 and ME3 hiding. Im preety sure bioware wont let all these fans down and that she becomes squad made a bit later into the game! :D

Miranda is finally getting killed off in my game. The reason I mention this is to ask if anyone wants screenshots of her death, as those have not been posted in a very long time for obvious reasons.

Yes, you did. What I criticized in my point (4) was...hmm, I feel uncomfortable discussion these anatomic details here, but just....look at Miranda's ass in that infamous shot. It looks like painted on, no real piece of clothing would sit on her ass like that, if you get what I mean, and it's similar in a few other places to a lesser degree. Some materials manage that effect if worn *not* too tightly, but these are usually worn to deliberately expose and titillate. It looks like Miranda is actually "whoring around in that outfit" as Enyala comments. It doesn't make her look seductive. It makes her look available. You can imagine how I feel when my favorite character is exposed to such a comment and I must agree that she has a point. I hate that.

I have never seen Miranda die. Does she have any last words? Heh...does anyone? I just realized that my two final boss-squadmates have been loyal in all my games. I've seen quite a few deaths, but not one yet at the final boss.
