Lets see... people say that we start to get old after the 25 (the spring of our life). She gets olds by something like 2/3 as normal people. so, 75 - 25 = 50 (yearg to get old). 50*(3/2) = 33.
33 + 25 = 58, so when she is 75 she should look like 58 or something like that.

Ageing (like most things in biology) is very difficult to quantify or predict since it is not only determined by genetics but also by environmental factors. Now it depends on what you are talking about; physical or phsyiological. In terms of looks strangely enough we only meet a few people who have aged in terms of appearence throughout the mass effect universe, so I'm guessing they came up with something to counter-act physical aging. In terms of physiological, I'm sure there are implants or other medical breakthroughs that improve the body's efficiency by age.
33 + 25 = 58, so when she is 75 she should look like 58 or something like that.
That doesn't seem like much of an improvent to me lol

Kick in? Someone who ages slowly would always age slowly, from the day their born.
I'm not sure it would necessarily cause her to develop more slowly/reach adolescence later, etc. So it probably wouldn't be noticeable until she reached adulthood, and then only after awhile. That said, it's hard to put a number on it without knowing more about life expectancy and aging in the ME universe. (More than I know in any event, I'm not sure how much info is available on this.)
It seems like life expectancy would be higher, due to advances in medical technology, and maybe the effects of aging would be felt more gradually. So Miranda would have an edge compared to that standard (not our standard).

Actually, she has one tech ability, and 2 biotics. We know everyone has more abilities in ME3...so, should Miranda remain a mix of tech and biotic, or would you guys like to see something a bit more interesting?
I just realized, Miranda's tech skills are pretty much never mentioned. We don't really know what makes an omni-tool focused character skilled at using an omni-tool...so what's the point? Miranda doesn't need Overload.
I would like to see her have a few biotics and a couple of more pure combat based powers. I'm sure Miranda could be a skilled techie, but they've established she's a skilled biotic, so I'd rather see that than have her have tech powers just for the sake of having them.

Chuck season 5 will be a short season (13 episodes), and they started shooting in july ...
1 week / episode : finished in late october.
And I think one of the reason why they delayed the game is that they need more time to record everyone.
I'm not worried about Yvonne's busy shedule, I'm worried about the fact that Bioware could have decided to favor the ME1 characters for the perm squad member status.

If aging starts at 20, and Miranda ages at 67% of the normal rate, she'll look like 20 + 0.67 * (75 - 20) = 56.jtav wrote...

Miranda is not a soldier. She's a field operative first and a scientist second. Her tech powers are absolutely appropriate and that she has both Warp and Overload makes her one of the most useful team members. I would dislike it if she lost either of them. As for additional powers: telekinetic powers are the very basis of biotics, she should have Throw or Pull. Probably Throw, because Pull would make her unbalanced.Shotokanguy wrote...

The gameplay was immediately familiar. I got to try some of the new powers but couldn't just their usefulness because the enemies were too easy. Those shield-carrying Cerberus Guardians were interesting to fight. Heavy melee attacks are insanely powerful. The best aspect was the added third dimension to the level. Still very linear to play through, though. No, you're stuck with Garrus and Liara, unfortunately.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
@ Ieldra2. YOU yourself have played the ME3 Demo, correct? So.....though I'm late, severely, what was it like? Were you able to have different squadmates other than Garrus and Liara (*double facepalm* because I'm tired of seeing them constantly)?
I don't really care which team members I have as long as I don't get Miranda. But yeah, it does get old.

Also recall that the average human lifespan is half again as long as today, meaning people get as old as 120 regularly and up to 150 in some cases. 60 is half the average life expectancy - that would be around 40 today.

Ok.
Anyway, they are still reviewing some Miranda scenes, so no need to be hurried. But an official confirmation that she will still be Miranda's face & voice in ME3, would be welcomed.

Her tech power*
Whether she's a soldier or not, she can fire an assault rifle and likely has noteworthy skill in things like hand to hand combat. What is useful isn't an argument for what she should have for ME3. They were useful in ME2, sure. Doesn't mean she can't have a better set of powers in ME3.
And then the additional powers you recommend are only biotics. Come on!

The closest thing I could find for an official statement is on www.imdb.com where Yvonne Strahovski is listed to be doing the voice work for Miranda. I am not saying they are never wrong, but generally they are fairly accurate and normally if its not confirmed they have (rumored) next to the name.
Right now I think my biggest concern is also that she won't have permament squad member status.

I am pretty sure she won't be. I think best case scenario is her being like Tali in ME2, that would be good enough for me, but anything less would be just... bullsh*t.

Unfortunately I'm getting the same impression. Looking at the current roster and their pledge to reduce squad members it seems highly likely. Although I have a feeling all squadmates will be temporary or rotate, I can't see the method of employed by ME 1 and 2 working with the amount of variables there are.

Well, we're all getting that impression because of the announcements that have been made so far. But we know very little about how that translates to the actual game.
One of the things I've noticed about these boards since I started lurking/posting here is that is skews heavily toward ME1 for a variety of reasons. Miranda is the only ME2 character who registers alongside the ME1 characters as far as attention/popularity is concerned (around here).
But, as always, forums like these give a warped view of reality. ME2 was the more popular game, with a wider audience and, for a lot of those people, seeing the ME2 characters again is going to mean a lot. So I don't see those characters getting neglected, especially not Miranda, who was the lead NPC of that game and most used squad member.
I guess I might end up eating some crow, but I expect Miranda to have a big role. Exception might be if Yvonne doesn't want to/can't spend a lot of time on the voicework.
Or maybe I'm just feeling optimistic right now
EDIT: Agreed, by the way, on your point about the squad being more... malleable, or whatever, than in previous games (probably).
