Well, my post must have been almost simultaneous with the posting of that gif. I was referring to the earlier photo (ridiculous) and the one you posted (sublime).

That's your opinion. You find Yvonne prettier, that's fine, but that doesn't mean those who don't need 'perspective'.
Let me put it this way - we're talking about Yvonne in both instances. That's her face. You can think she looks better with dark hair, but that's a simple, superficial thing. Making that the deciding factor between the real woman and the one in a video game is kind of crazy to me.
And yeah, I know Miranda also has her body going for her, but such a loyal Miranda fan like you wouldn't break her down like that, would you?

I don't love Miranda because of her body. XD Her character is what catches me more than anything.

I like how nobody's preference is purely superficial. It seems to be a common element in all the character threads for romance interests. Kind of adorable, really

There would be no real room for romance if all you saw in a character was his/her looks. Therefore, you wouldn't be drawn to this thread, and thus would sit in thine room rewatching the superficial ass shots BioWare slipped into the game. XD

By the way, to what ass shots are you referring? I guess I will have to pay more attention on my next play-through. Apparently I was so focused on Miranda's winning personality that I missed some important stuff

There are few, but they are noticable. One when you are talking with her in her office, and half of the screen is her ass. One during her loyalty mission when she bends over to pick up the radio, and the last (that I can think of) ass shot when she is meeting you in the engine room, and you walk up behind her.

Can't say I agree with that. I dislike the catsuits a great deal. More the cheap style than the fact they're close-fitting catsuits, though. I don't know why, but Miranda's catsuit on the Redemption #4 cover (the one in Lexie's last wallpaper) looks sleek and elegant but the in-game version looks made for the cheap thrill.CuseGirl wrote...

@Lexie:
Yes, that are the two infamous ass shots. The first one is particularly hilarious/galling because of the unfortunate placement of the dialogue wheel's "investigate" option. To think that even the developers made fun of the level of fanservice they put in Miranda...*grumbles*

I don't mind the catsuit because it reinforces her "perfect woman" background, and more fundamentally, it reinforces her as a strong and ideal human woman in the midst of aliens competing for Shep's attention and affection. This gives her an additional level of power/influence that she wouldn't have otherwise. I know we'd all like to think of her as the most intelligent woman in the galaxy able to win over peoples' hearts and minds with purely the strength of her character, but she also influences people on the most primal and instinctual of levels. They balance this by giving her the ultimate human flaw - inability to reproduce.
Plus from a marketing perspective, it gives us something to talk about. This thread would be 80 pages shorter if Miranda's butt weren't in the picture [pun intended..]

I love the catsuits, and as per the ass shots, if they are being used to add a little bit of sexual interest, then at least give us a reward at the end of a real sex scene and not a rubber and latex hump fest.

Well said sir... inability to reproduce being the ultimate human flaw? For me, that's the ultimate gift!cyborg2501 wrote...
I'll probably take flak for this, but if you got it, flaunt it.... Nah in all seriousness though, I don't think they went over the top with the ass shots. I mean a few of them might be obvious but if you were a developer and were working with a sexy character and could show them from any angle you wanted at any time, would you not have a little fun with it? (Investigate... is a prime example) For the great majority of people it adds a little bit of harmless sexual interest to the game. They should, however, make sure that her outfit is easily changed should anyone be offended.

lmaaaaoooo......I actually do think because Mass Effect is so popular and pretty well known, EA has to be careful from a PR standpoint and while I wish Ace Shepard could really do all the things he wants to do with Miranda, it's not gonna happen and I'll deal with that.....
