I see Miranda has the more dominant one, but that doesn't mean she can't wind herself up in a revealing dress and belly dance. I can picture her doing it to make sure Shepard is submissive, so she can have her way with him.

I mean a few of them might be obvious but if you were a developer and were working with a sexy character and could show them from any angle you wanted at any time, would you not have a little fun with it? They should, however, make sure that her outfit is easily changed should anyone be offended.

I don't mind the catsuit because it reinforces her "perfect woman" background, and more fundamentally, it reinforces her as a strong and ideal human woman in the midst of aliens competing for Shep's attention and affection. This gives her an additional level of power/influence that she wouldn't have otherwise. I know we'd all like to think of her as the most intelligent woman in the galaxy able to win over peoples' hearts and minds with purely the strength of her character, but she also influences people on the most primal and instinctual of levels. They balance this by giving her the ultimate human flaw - inability to reproduce.

Plus from a marketing perspective, it gives us something to talk about. This thread would be 80 pages shorter if Miranda's butt weren't in the picture [pun intended..]

Well, I dislike the catsuits and the ass shot, but that all pales to nothing compared to the hate I have for the infertility. I want Miranda to be able to pass on her gifts. I don't care if it's natural or with technological help. I want an epilogue option where the possibility that the infertility is circumvented is canonically kept open and the information in the LotSB dossier proves premature at least.

I think that's plausible. The engine room scene scripts Miranda as the one in control, but in some of the earlier scenes Shepard is more the aggressor.

I've always thought her romance has something of a competition, especially the Renegade version. In spite of her saying "it's not a competition", both are trying to gain the upper hand while acknowledging the mutual attraction. I like that.

BTW, I find it hard to imagine Miranda doing that belly dance. I'm not saying she can't do it, but it doesn't seem quite her style.

To the extent that the LotSB information regarding infertility turns out to be accurate (though I remain sceptical), I like the idea of her solving the problem herself in one way or another. She's brilliant after all, and while the story so far seems to emphasize tactics and leadership, I don't see why her intellect might not extend to scientific know-how as well.

Agreed. It's a fun element of the storyline.

 Me too!!  I think they will try to compete with each other and I can see her more dominate in the relationship because of the way she was in ME2... "Give me some time... when I'm ready, I'll come by."

Yes, I would like to see Miranda use her intellect along with the help of Mordin to discover a way to solve it, if it is indeed a problem.   I hoping it isn't as serious as it was stated and IVF could be used in helping her become a mother if that is what she wanted... a baby.

I recently read an article about  x's and y's and how the "x" from the guy is from their mother and "y" to determine the male selection.  That would mean Miranda would have her father's mother genes "x" and her mother's "x"?   Didn't she say he used other dna or something mixed in.

As per her infertility (like I've pointed out before) neoplasms rarely pose problems for fertility. Her problems are clearly doings of her father, and if that is so, I'm sure there is some sort of scientific process that could regenerate fertility in her eggs. I mean, she brought Shepard back to life, it just seems that a pregnancy problem would pale in comparison.

I'm sceptical on the whole that the SB data means what it appears to mean. A lot of it seems intentionally cryptic, for one thing. It's also the type of "bonus" info that might make it into the game only to be completely ignored or re-written later, according to the needs of the story.

Well, they're not going to plop kids down in the middle of the war, of that I think we can be reasonably sure. Your worst-case scenario, I guess, would be Miranda bringing up wanting to have kids regardless of player choice. Even that I find to be rather unlikely, tbh.

It's one of the reasons I'm somewhat sceptical of the SB info being important, at least the face value of it.

By the way, to what ass shots are you referring? I guess I will have to pay more attention on my next play-through. Apparently I was so focused on Miranda's winning personality that I missed some important stuff
