I think I may be the only person who believes the Shadow Broker's files are real. XD He is the top information broker, he wouldn't mess up and take false information, and other than Shepard (who can do everything short of breathing in a vacuum) and Liara, I doubt there was ever a threat of finding the base. Liara said herself you CAN'T find it unless you know where to look.

I wouldn't say they are fake, the information is definitely "real" in the sense that it is in the game. But it is fragmentary, and largely a tease on the part of the writers.

I agree that it is a tease, but so many are dead set that the files are fake and just a load of horse crap, which seems unlikely, considering...like I said...there is ultimately no risk of having his information stolen.

Well thats the thing the messages are not dated... and some of the dossiers are up to date to that moment... so is this an ongoing thing behind my back? Is it just her past? Is this what I am to her?

I am really going to be upset if all I am is a fling to her... I mean my canon Shepard can best be described as a mixture of Nelson Mandela, Mick Jagger, and The Terminator... I mean how is it possible to see a guy like that as a fling? If a woman left me for that combination... I wouldnt even fight it... that is straight outclassed. So how...

Damnit its just a game! LOLZ... Shep is epic no matter what anyone says... both FemShep and ManShep... there is no upgrade from Shep.

No, Brennan is asocial to an unrealistic level - it's her schtick and they stretch it to the point of obsurdity.  

Miranda is charismatic, interesting and professional - she has Brennan beat on 2 out of 3 there.  

Whereas I can barely sit through an episode of Bones because that character annoys me so much, I love spending time with Miranda in game.  Miranda's character doesn't revolve around one obsurd little schtick that she has to cram down your throat - she feels like a more well rounded individual.

XD The Shadow Broker Files aren't super recent. The only recent one (I believe since Shepard comes around) is the conversation with Oriana if you urge Miranda to talk to her after the mission. The most recent relationship she had was with Jacob, but he simply explains it as they got 'real close, then real far away'. So, worry not.

I swear Im back to life for a few days... Ash dumps me on Horizon after calling me a traitor and I LONGED to see her again.... had my heart broken.... I find love and understanding with Miri.... and to be honest I feel she is the only woman capable of handling the epic might that is the ManShep...

and if I lose her too because I am some sort of fling....

Ill switch sides completely at that point.... you think Joker is a good transition point to the other side since he is so dainty and fraile? LOLZ

Curiously, if we assume that the files are in chronological order, Miranda discovered that she was infertile during ME2. The fact that she chose a clinic on Illium to get tested strengthens this theory somewhat.

From an in-game perspective, yeah, but those files are really messages from the writers to the fans, something to get people thinking and talking. There's a lot of stuff in Miranda's file and some of it's pretty cryptic. So, while I agree with you that pure horse crap seems unlikely, I'm a bit sceptical as to how it will play out.

Well technically there is no ingame knowlege of the exact timeline. She met the one guy on Omega... she might have snuck away while I was recruiting Garrus because I had Jacob and Mordin with me that mission. That was before me and I am fine with that. However in game I make a lot of pit stops at Omega...

Thhose guys might have been an attempt at a rebound from Jacob.... or ongoing "fun".

LoL, well, keep in my mind, for all we know, based on the actual info in the files, she might just as well be meeting guys with a clean medical history, knocking them out and taking a sperm/DNA sample

Something's a little odd anyway, because clearly she has no desire to have any personal relationship of any kind with these individuals, whereas she has no trouble combining sexual and emotional involvement with Jacob and later Shepard. She keeps a promise to Jacob long after they've broken up, for example.

There are subtle hints that Miranda's encounter with that guy (a guy, singular) was her attempt at getting pregnant.

The one we should be worrying about is Jacob. Clearly, he still has feelings for Miranda. He is just bidding his time.

Well, if it was a twitter response then it probably came from Patrick Weekes who has 'privatized' his account in order to keep himself from spoiling ME3 story, etc...He had a hand in the Shadow Broker DLC so he would know best.

Aside from that it may have been a response to a thread here on BSN.
