edit: Nice pic. I don't think I had noticed that expression before.

Yes, I've watched the playthrough of SB already as well as Kasumi's loyalty mission, but Overlord and Arrival, yeah, no idea what I will be getting into. So far Arrival is the furthest in it's download, at 63%...I have another three hours to go apparently.

Yeah Overlord almost made me cry.

In an emotional way, or in a way that you are so physically traumatized that you want to curl into the fetal position in the corner and cry for a couple days. (*cough cough* my reaction when I beat Dead Space 2)

In an emotional way  it just a gut punch -  It shows very nicely the pitfalls of the ambition

It wasn't so much ambition as necessity.

TIM is a shady character in general, and I'm not a malicious person, so it better be a pretty terrible occurance for me to one to strangle him.

To be fair, TIM was only indirectly responsible.

If that's the case, then I probably won't end up hating him, unless it was something REALLY bad.

Based on the infromation at  hand  then yes one could think there was a war coming.  If you go with the  spin that Soveriegn was  a Geth Ship then yes but you have to ask why no more attacks -  why no futher offensive or counter attacks  after the battle of the Citidal   just nothing.  If there was a war brewing  in the time between the end of the ME 1 and  that start of ME 2 when Shephard was killed they would have found more edvidence of the such.

That was just the story   that  was sold to get people to follow.

Now lets wait until Lexi is finished playing  and not spoil the DLC  and derail thread.

WHAT A LOAD OF BS!

EDI stated that Cerberus never runs more than a dozen operations at a time because TIM prefers to keep operational control.

Joker went on by adding that he is a bit of a control freak.

In between ME1 and ME2 every operation Shepard has run into and dismantled was played off like as if it went rogue, or once enough data was gathered TIM abandoned the cruel experiments.

Miranda: "and the Rachni experiments were abandoned one we understood the full scope of their intelligence"

I am not too much into conspiracy theories... but if someone keeps telling me that their operations that they supervise keep going rogue I tend not to believe them anymore after the third time.

It was not rogue but you heard Archer. It was TIM's lack of pacience coupled with Overlord not delivering results that made them use brute force research.

Also, no operation in ME1 was played off as rogue. Miranda justifies them all.
BTW, I always read Miranda's comment on Rachni differently. I always assumed she was saying that the experiments on Rachni were abandoned once they realized they were sentient. Anyone else?

So Paragia did not go rogue? Subject Zero anyone? need some backup....

As far as the Husks and the Thorian Creepers.... all Cerberus personel was dead aboard those ships.... therefore it was rogue.... as in lost controll

Yes I read the Rachni one the same way as you.... but I clearly remember dead Cerberus personel on that ship that i boarded as well..... Miranda could have been lied to by TIM.... she was in the Lazarus Cell.... since she was alive its a good assumption to say that she was not involved in the other projects and she was restating the garbage TIM sent to her in his updates knowing Shep would ask questions... She must have been with Jacob on the mission to stop the Batarian bio-weapon on the citadel.... and EDI clearly states that the different operational cells have no knowlege of each others work.... So Miranda cant know for sure

Results at all costs.... yeah rush a project.... causing it to fail catastrophically.... Indirectly Responsible my FANNY

Why so? I didn't hate TIM for that, it wasn't TIM's fault that he had set a deadline, but his subordinates went crazy about their research and took it too far.

This thread is turning into really weird place, I understood the Miri fandom, but people getting their panties wet for some... book characters and other silly things.. *shivers*

You don't encounter the Husks and Creepers on ships. You encounter the Creepers on Bhintu and Shepard is the one who kills the Cerberus personell on that base. I don't remember where Shepard encounters Husks.

Miranda could have been lied to by TIM....

Entirely possible, probrable even.

Heh. Weird. I've mentioned before my loathing for Miranda's hair style. I think the way it looks like it's repelled by her face contributes largely to any of the scenes in which she doesn't look good.

But that photoshop of Yvonne at the top of the page...pretty much the same style, and it looks just fine. Obviously, it helps that it's the real woman. But maybe there's something else I can't quite put my finger on that bugs me about Miranda's appearance. It's not something as simple as her face - that's going to be an issue no matter what, it's a video game, it won't be perfect...

So what could it be?
