MIRANDA IS AWESOME!!!!!!! (Because I don't know how we got to talking about liara)

And yes, I played Overlod, and it was extremely disturbing.

So what is your opinion of TIM and Cerberus now?

Image IPB

Official Miranda artwork by Matt Rhodes... since I am first on the page I feel I have an obligation to put up art.

Hmmm interesting, I don't believe I've seen that one before.

That image and others like it kind of confirm in my mind that I'd like to see a combat/physical ability as a new power for Miranda in ME3. As of now we have biotics and tech, but only the squad buff really expresses the combat proficiency of the character as of now.

Exercising and doing math at the same time. Upside down. This woman is amazing.

Math? How can you tell? I can't make out what she has in her hands there...

That was my first tought too but she seems to be holding a ruler between two fingers on her left hand and that's clearly a protactor on her lips.

Am I the only one that gets the feeling that BW is trying to force the Liara and Shepard relationship?? maybe its just me...I always choose Miranda as my LI and I really hope ME3 allows you to advance that relationship farther then what ME2 allowed.

Not particularly. Genesis aside, I get the feeling the default is Shep cheating on Ash with Miranda.

Paranoid? Maybe, but with good reason. A few of my (ex-)favorite characters in fiction suffered that fate. Apparently, certain stereotypes are attractors.

I know what you mean. I've seen (for example) smart and dangerous antagonists suddenly turned into bumbling Saturday morning cartoon villains from one book to the next, no explanation given.

Will the Cheerleader and Jack settle their conflict in Mass Effect 3? How would Miranda defeat Jack if they should fight?

I think she's going to have to rely on her healing ability and karate moves because Jack's clearly the more powerful biotic.

It is not cheating if the first thing Ash says to you on Horizon is that you are a traitor.... She basically breaks up with Shep

Crippling Slam... Miranda walks over to Jack... snaps her neck with the heel of her boot...

Honestly I think Jack outgrows her hate of Miranda... I have a feeling the Loyalty mission slowly matures Jack... more like a hope that it does

Going off of the subject of voice acting. Meer in my opinion puts in a much better performance in Lair of the Shadow Broker than he did in most of ME2. Shepard shows a lot more emotion and even a little bit of humor in the DLC that is lacking in the main game.

One line in particular in the DLC gives me a difflerent take on Shepard. When Liara visits the Captain's Cabin and asks Shepard how he/she is doing she says that she doesn't want the answer that Shepard would give to a crewmember.

To me this paints Shepard as a character who isn't so much the all-conquering hero as much as a person who internalizes their doubts for the good of the mission. What ME3 really needs is something like the locker scene in ME1 where Shepard just can't keep the facade going.

Miranda: The crew is awaiting orders. We need to plan our next move.

Shepard: There isn't one, Earth's gone Miranda. We lost.

Miranda: What happened to Commander 'Hell or High Water'?

Shepard: I have no idea of how we're going to beat them.

Miranda: You're not a god Shepard you don't need to have all the answers.

Shepard: The crew needs someone to lead them. Someone who has a plan.

Miranda: We'll figure something out, the impossible hasn't stopped us before. You have the Normandy, and your crew to back you up.

Shepard: And I have you.

Miranda: ( smiles and wraps arms around Shepard) And you have me.

Samara watches smugly and says, imitation is the highest form of flattery.

One of the devs did say something like Jack can't stay angry and rebellious forever.

I always take each of them on the other's loyalty mission and wish there was more interaction there, especially on Pragia. Likewise, Jack should complain about being dragged along to help Miranda, make snarky comments on her desire for Oriana to have a normal childhood, and finally start to realize she isn't the perfect/unfeeling/evil person Jack would like to take her for. More imagination/fanfic material for someone I guess.

For some reason I read this as: "You're not a good Shepard if you don't have all the answers." :)

The devs implied that you can have Shepard show some emotional vulnerability if you want. I hope so.

Liara says we've changed her a lot by romancing her but this is not really revealed in Mass Effect 2, so I hope there are multiple versions of her in Mass Effect 3.

When did she say that?

Some dialogue to that effect is available at the end of LotSB, during the visit to the Captain's quarters.
