Not realistic...

Do you have any idea what my girlfriend would do to me if I called her names.... broke up with her.... and then had the audacity to try to fix it all with an e-mail?

As a man I would like to clear up some false rummors...

1) Men do not have feelings... We do... its just that modern society paints this image of men needing to put feelings aside for the sake of being a "true man".... guys that do this a lot eventually become numb... and the a-holes a lot of women complain about.

2) Its okay to break a man's heart because you can curl back up to him and he will forgive you... F*** NO! Do you know how many movies and shows depict a woman cheating on a man or breaking up with one and the man ends up taking her back afterward. It sickens me that men are painted as weak willed tools.

My response to Ash's e-mail:

Are you kidding me?! You know me better than anyone and you think I would compromise who I am for Cerberus?! First thing I thought of when I woke up from DEATH was you! You were my lady and a part of my crew... but it doesnt mean it was YOU that stopped Saren. That was me. You called me a traitor on Horizon... like as if you never knew who I was. There are a lot of things that a man can do to get yelled at by his woman... but DYING is NOT ONE OF THEM! Sorry I didnt call you while I was a burnt piece of meat on an operating table. I know 2 years is a long time to get over me... I would even understand if you found someone else. I will never understand what you did to me on Horizon. F U! You better hope I dont run into you again because I am going to kick you out of an airlock! You know I can too... and I'll get away with it... I'm a Spectre.

Your EX - Time magazine's most sought after bachelor of the galaxy this year... OOOPS your loss.

Never said it was realistic (or even written well for that matter).
But it's there like it or not.

Unfortunately, you cannot make Shepard appear too broken up about any of it. The most he can say is "It's good to see you again. How have you been?" You can't make him do anything more emotional. The way Ashley reacted was understandable.

Honestly I think Jack outgrows her hate of Miranda... I have a feeling the Loyalty mission slowly matures Jack... more like a hope that it does

I basically agree, since I don't foresee the Jack/Miranda conflict being rehashed in ME3. Jack will probably be trying to do something positive with her life, and Miranda may very well be at war with Cerberus. There should definitely be a scene between them, if both survive the SM, but I imagine it will be very different from what their mutual distaste for one another in ME2 might lead us to expect.

Why I do approve of this post good and I do  believe me because I have said alot of what you said many times before -   There is in another side to the story and having  someone you  love/care die and go through the grieving process, finding some kind of  closer  and for the person to pop up two years  later( the wound my still be fresh Ash my not have gotten of over him yet)   alive and well its a  emotional jarring  experience.  Not an excuse but  just a little prespectiive.   If Miranda where in Ashley shoes I don't see her  being  happy either - especially sense  she is not the greatest at dealing with emotions.   I do agree with because I was yelling the same thing at my TV ..

Me:  You ****!!! - I was crispy piece of mush for the past two years - not a club med.

But  after I calmed down, took breath, had a beer.  I can see what Ashley is so uspet - the Problem is  Bioware did a ****** power job showing use the fall out Shepards death  on how it affected the crew

Yep. Horizon was a cluster**** of epic proportions, mostly on the writing side. However, it's happened and there will be repercussions. My canon/first playthrough Shep was distinctly pissed off that Ash all but called him a traitor. "I still know where my loyalties lie."
Thanks Ash. I guess all they went through in ME1 counted for nothing. Quoting the same poem from their night together before Ilos when she did trust him, just after she'd not even given him the benefit of the doubt? Nice bit of lemon juice and salt on the wound...

I'm curious to see how Bioware will write the VS reunion, because there are a lot of Shepards who believed that they were dumped on Horizon. Wrex, Liara, Garrus & Tali kept faith, but the VS? Distinct lack there.

I understand what you are saying but people sometimes seem to forget who actually did die.

No one thought how traumatized Shep might have been by... you know DYING. I agree that the crew had to grieve... but look I'm back! I am alive... that should help you with your grieving. People grieve at funerals because they will never see someone again... I felt that way after my highschool G/F died. She was hit by a car while crossing the street at our school bus stop. However if she was resurected 2 years later... and if I was still single... I would run up to her give her a big kiss and a hug... AND I WOULD BE MORE WORRIED ABOUT HER FEELINGS THAN MINE AT THAT MOMENT.

I undestood how they all felt about Shep's death... still not cool how they treated Shep some of them. They were not the ones that died.

I know this isn't directly on topic, but in case someone wants to do Miri manipulation out of this...
Let's just say, if Strahotski has ever been ''worthy'' of her nickname it's even more accurate now.

Oh I agree  -  but with something like this it varies so much person to person  and its such not a black and white issue.  There so many emotions on top of emotions. Maybe the fact   that he was back opened hurt that she felt losing him again and with the  came the fear and  everything else. Maybe it was too much at once  for her to handle  so she pushed   It and Shepard away.  Its  such a more complex emotional Situation  than how Bioware portayed and I think they really dropped the ball on the reunion with  ME 1 LI and it was handle rather childishly.     Honesty  I can't  say how I would react -  my first reaction would  caution  cause the dead don't come back  - Dis- trust at what I was seeing.   Some many  questions was the death staged - did our crew mates, our friends almost die in some scheme.    Still in emotional moments like that things are said that are not meant and sometimes it best  to cool off and come back at it with a fresh prespective

On the subject of Horizon, I expect there to be a lot of clarification.

Ash: So Shepard, was dead?

Miranda: Completely and uttery deceased.

Ash: And you and Cerberus resurrected him?

Miranda: Using the Lazarus process, that's correct.

Ash: That would explain why he was a little reluctant to tell me what happened.

Miranda: Well it would have been easier if he had read the book I gave him.

Ash: What book?

Miranda: (hands Ash a datapad) This one, section twelve should cover the whole explanation issue.

Ash: (reading the title) Brought Back: A Layman's Guide to the Lazarus Project, By Miranda Lawson.

Miranda: It's the complete operations guide for Shepard, well all of the cybernetic parts and restorative processes. With this you'll literally be able to read him like a book.

Official Miranda artwork by Matt Rhodes... since I am first on the page I feel I have an obligation to put up art.

Although it is a decent looking piece of artwork I must confess, I find that I don't like those three men staring at her in the background at all. It is a valid arguement to say that they are just impressed by her simultaneously training and cleaning her gun and I might be taking things out of proportion. However I get the feeling they are staring at her ass, which means that in essence Miranda is being 'objectified' (for lack of a better term hehe). This impression is further enhanced by the fact that the size of her breasts are ridiculous and are akin to the old tomb raider games.

I have nothing wrong with giving Miranda large 'assets' which are deemed 'attractive' however they need to be in context to her character. Those  objectifing ass shots have got to go. Its doing a disservice to the character in general. I'm going to give this pic the benefit of the doubt, but -in my opinion- it is implying A LOT and I hope they don't take a similar approach in ME3.<_<

I wonder what's worse, the fact that maybe Ash didn't know Shepard died, or that she didn't care enough to bring it up?

True... but BioWare didnt give us the choice to try to romance Ash again like they did with Liara.

Once again I do think Ash should have tried to keep herself together... or at least pounced on Shep out of sheer hapiness... then freak out... at least then I would have never needed to find comfort in Miranda's arms (no matter how much I would have wanted to) and I would have stayed faithfull. Ashley was just selfish with her feelings.

I don't think it's either. When she saw Shepard alive, she probrably automatically assumed that he had been faking his death for the past two years.

She was on the Normandy SR1 when it Shep ordered her to get off. Joker watched as Shep died! She knew... dont you even dare suggest that.
