Don't freak out, it's happens sometimes, glitches in the animation. It's not exclusive to Miranda.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
What's with this about Miri having "derpy eyes?" I had NO problem with that in my copy of ME2.

Her young age was not the only factor that discredited Liara's theories.

However, when the young Asari scientist met Miranda Lawson, they immediately saw eye to eye. Even when their other eyes were focused on a completely different task...
Their favorite pastime was reviewing research results while maintaining eye contact with each other from across the room...

Heh. Even funnier since I'm in the midst of writing some Miranda/Liara erotica.
DeviantART has an incredible piece depicting what you are talking about... I cant post that on the forums but I can send you the link if you would like.

I've seem several. Most of them are pretty bad, but I'm find of one. Now if I could just convince someone besides me to write it. Love the pairing. The way most of you fell about the romance? How I feel about them.
If nothing would be able to help Miri with her infertility this may be the only way she could have kids.

Interesting. Liara is charming to be sure. I can't say I've ever been too interested in the character beyond that or really seen her as a match for Miranda, though. What makes this work in your opinion?

If she were real or as a character? As a character, the frustrating inconsistency and occasional unfortunate implication that raises my feminist hackles. Specifically, the combining of canceling a subscription to a journal with subscribing to a fashion magazine, implying the two are mutually exclusive.
And the romance.
Its an implication of that if you choose to view it that way. It would be like me canceling my subscription to Nature and then getting one to Game Informer is a suggestion that I am no longer interested in science, but only in games. Its a mere coincidence, maybe Nature fell off in my eyes, maybe I got bored of the same subject and wanted to pursue another interest. Its all about perception and you choose to percieve that as a sign of them saying the journal hurt her head, so she went with a fashion magazine. So the onus of riling up your "feminist hackles" are on your sexist definition of the event.

That's great to hear. I hope to see improvements to other facial animations aswell, specifically Lip Sync.

I see what you're saying, and that's partly what I was implying when I said that the SB info is too cryptic and incomplete for me to read too much into it at this point.
That said, there is some other information in the game that sort of supports the idea that, for certain writers on the team anyway (perhaps not all, and perhaps not the ones mainly writing Miranda), part of her character arc is about her going from being coldy focused on her duty to being more invested in love and relationships and so on.
For example, Liara says, at the end of LotSB, that Shepard has changed Miranda, whereas beforehand she was so cold, so focused on her duty. So, the change in magazine subscriptions would seem to correspond to that.
There's really no reason why the emotional and calculating sides of the character should be portrayed as incompatible, or mutually exclusive.
So, I think there are some legitimate concerns there, albeit unconfirmed for the moment.
