I was actually thinking more about how it would have visibly shaken Miranda's loyalty to Cerberus.jreezy wrote...
I already have enough reasons for wanting TIM dead but yeah I wouldn't mind if I had one more added to the list.

Gentle and sweet is definitely something I would never call Miranda.
Miranda can be quite tender. Just look at all she's done for Oriana or the hug scene with Shepard.
There's also the cuddling but I'm not sure that's canon and the jury's still out on the time Shepard wakes up in the beginning of the game.

I believe that everyone on this thread would...
But if you would have to choose between that and a pic of Miranda in ME3?

I don't think so. I think it's more likely something that she ''dares'' to show more often, when she becomes comfortable with someone.
That's the way I see it. I guess you could say that those are the exceptions, though, in a sense, since she doesn't get that close with many people.

I'd take the ME3 pic at this point. The t-shirt I will just buy if I feel like it.

And I get anxious because "career women really wants marriage and babies and is using her high powered job as a substitute" is a trope I'm both familiar with and despise.

Her "betrayal" line at the Collector base, of course. That really sends me up the wall. If that's a sign of things to come, chances are good she won't be my favorite character in ME3 any more.Omega4RelayResident wrote...
Anyways I actually have a interesting topic to talk about. If there is one thing you like least about Miranda ... what is it? She happens to do one thing that actually makes me grit my teeth. I want to hear what everyone else has to say first.
There are a few other things about her I like less than others but those arejust signs that Miranda is not perfect and makes mistakes like everyone else. Still other aspects disliked by many I actually appreciate - for instance her refusal to get personal with Shepard at the start of the game. I wish that had persisted longer.
BTW, 16 pages in two days? Has there been a sudden influx of new fans?

Agree with both. Though I like the shirt, it would be too embarassing to wear it. Rather something to have as a small poster.jtav wrote...

There's still half a year left for us to torture ourselves about this. I wish there was a scene with Miranda they could show us, but I guess that would be a spoiler, as opposed to telling us about her team member status which wouldn't.

It rather sounds like Bioware is determined to not release any specific info at all about Miranda, so I guess we may actually have to wait until March. *shudder*
The other possibility, I suppose, is that Miranda is slated to be part of a marketing push at some point, maybe when Yvonne is back in the studio.

There was a bit of hysteria or at least extra enthusiasm to celebrate page 500, so that's probably what you are sensing.

Yes. I would dislike it only if it was kept as a permanent feature, or even worse, if it was implied that such is a natural consequence of the way she was created, rather than a consequence of the way her father treated her.flemm wrote...

Ok, seriously. Her existential issues and her inability to feel any sort of pride from her accomplishments.
Yeah, I can get on board with the idea that part of her character arc should be about moving beyond that angst regarding her gifts. But I like that it's there as an obstacle to overcome.
I can see her story arc involving decisions that send her along one way or the other.

As much as I like Miranda, I wouldn't make such a statement. Miranda is too conflicted about things to qualify. For instance, I would only expect someone at peace with herself to have "a beautiful soul".

I think you're saying what everyone here fears. Some more, some less. Whatever else that would mean, it would mean almost no team banter with her at the very least, and since Bioware said they put more emphasis on team interaction it would lessen her presence considerably.jtav wrote...
Speaking in a predictive capacity, they may be keeping silent because she isn't a full squad member and they're delaying that revelation as long as possible.

I disagree. Miranda and Ashley have similar goals but are very different in personality. As someone put it very early in the first thread, like ice and fire.Made Nightwing wrote...
Miranda and Ash share many of the same personality traits. They believe in service to humanity, protecting their sisters, and getting the job done. They're independent and mature, not blushing teenagers. First playthrough of Mass Effect, I stayed faithful to Ash, but my second Shepard dashed into Miranda's office the first chance he got...would have stayed their for most of the game if I'd had the time
Agreed about Miranda's office. Definitely the best place to be when Shepard's not needed in the command center.

btw, anyone has a picture of Miri in this position with the black catsuit?
/snip
That looks just like the scene you get on Miranda's loyalty mission, when you walk into the final scene with Niket and Enyala (obviously superimposed over the skyline art). If that's the case, it's impossible to have the scene with the black catsuit, since you don't get access to it until the end of that mission.

I would hate that.Omega4RelayResident wrote...
You know what I would absolutely love to see...
Miranda not being a part of Sheps crew in the beginning. Then on some mission later on Shep would run into her and find out she is still working for Cerberus because TIM is forcing her by holding Orianna and her family hostage.
Shep would convince Miranda with an exteeemely emotional speech to not fight him. Shep would tell ler how much he loves her and that he will make sure Orianna will be safe. Miranda is unsure about his words. He reminds her with tears in his eyes that he can accomplish this, and begs her to trust him for the sake of their love.
She runs into his arms and kisses him in the most passionate and loving way possible. She tells him she will work for him as his Cerberus insider and report to him anything that would help his mission. Shep goes to save Orianna and her family and places them in the hands of the Alliance. Shep and Miranda then figure out a way to take TIM down.
What do you think?
Romance should not be the deciding factor in a decision of such a magnitude Miranda makes. If Miranda joins Shepard again, it should be because she is convinced - or can be convinced - that this is the right course to defeat the Reapers.
Things can definitely get emotional once the decision is made - if you romanced her. But for the decision itself, I'd rather have Miranda scoff at an appeal to the emotions. "The mission is too important to let personal feelings interfere". I think this "the mission comes first" attitude should stay a defining characteristic of Miranda'a personality.

I wouldn't put it that way, but Miranda is definitely one of less than a handful of characters in the ME universe who give my main Shepard a personal stake in the coming war. One other is Kate Bowman...MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
