I would like this. A lot. It's obvious that Grunt is something like the krogan version of Miranda. I don't like Grunt much in ME2 but if he grew less one-sided and developed an interest in things that would lead to this conversation - that would make me want him back. I think it would be a fitting character development for him.

Grunt might be a big Krogan kid who likes to smash things, but he's very curious and actually does read quite a bit. (see Shadow Broker dossier)

On a different subject whenever I hear the line about how Miranda's father wanted to create a "dynasty" for some reason the first thing that springs to mind is Paul Atreides from Dune. Minus the whole "space messiah" thing.

Could be, of course. It's a little early to start getting too pessimistic, though, I think, since we know more squadmates remain to be revealed.

Honestly, there will likely be a squadmate or two in the game (maybe one returning, one new) that Bioware will try not to spoil prior to release. With Miranda being a fairly strong candidate for that sort of thing, I don't think anything can be ruled out.

Hmmm, yeah, it is somewhat reminiscent of that, now that you mention it. I do think that more information about what, exactly, Miranda's father had in mind for his creation is a big possible area for further exploration in ME3.

We know more about Okeer's intent for Grunt, for example.

Yep. One of the few Miranda-themed fanfics I like. Can't say much about the plotting yet, but the writing is reasonably good and the characterization, too. Except for Tali. She's gotten a bit too immature.

And about the ffic of Watchdog and Disclosure, the only thinks that I dislike are some lines from Tali. I can't imagine her saying "****" and "b#tch", even if she is jealous.

In the event that we encounter Miranda's father in ME3 I'm sort of hoping that we get some sort of explanation of his actions. (Unlike the Danarius plotline in DA2 where he was just billed as a purely evil villain) And this:

Shepard: Before we do this I need some information.

Miranda: Such as?

Shepard: Such as who exactly is your father. Because right now I'm picturing some sort of deposed politician who uses his magical powers to strand us on his island.

Miranda: (stares at Shepard)

Shepard: I can read you know.

Miranda: Shepard. My father isn't Prospero.

Shepard: Alright, so that crosses that theory off the list.

Yeah, it's a big missing piece of the Miranda puzzle. Now, where Prospero is concerned, let's not be hasty... anything is possible

I disagree. Miranda and Ashley have similar goals but are very different in personality. As someone put it very early in the first thread, like ice and fire.

Agreed about Miranda's office. Definitely the best place to be when Shepard's not needed in the command center.

Of course,  the ice and fire analogy is very accurate, their baseline personalities are entirely individualistic, but they do share several traits. I wasn't trying to say they are the same character.

No, because that doesn't actually reduce work for the developers and it makes the romances much more important than they are. Writing and voicing six mutually exclusive paths is not an efficient use of resources at all, especially considering the optional nature of romances.
