As far as gushing is concerned, MEF4life is definitely the strongest team member. It's an important role, I think. And, especially when paired with a good picture spammer, can make for an extremely potent combo!

This thread didn't get to 500 pages by itself!

I personally don't believe (resignation or not) that she'll be behind Cerberus for very long. For so long she has played off all of Cerberus' problems as either rogue, or without the Illusive Man's consent. Now, if the Illusive Man goes after Shepard (romanced or not), I believe she'll stand by him more. He has proved, before her eyes, that he has his sights on the good of humanity, and I believe she believes in him. I imagine running into her raiding a Cerberus hideout, she tearing the facility apart from the inside out, searching for the same intel you are.

And I support ME's gushing.

Only if you decide to destroy the Collector Base. If you keep it, that conversation doesn't happen, and she doesn't resign.

No, I feel like the Illusive Man is too...well...illusive. I can picture storming his office, and we see him standing there, but it's just a hologram, and he's off on some god forsaken planet. He's like Cerberus' president, if he was in danger, he wouldn't remain in the same spot. He would be constantly moved about the galaxy until the person persuing him somehow figures out where they are going, and gets there first, or gets tired of chasing, but considering the giant sentient machines dying to om nom on every organic being in space, I believe Shepard has more to deal with at the moment. XD
