She does have plot armor at that point. Even if she is carried off by the swarm, she'll return next scene.
Shepard doesn't even scream her name like he does if the any of the others are carried.

No, I feel like the Illusive Man is too...well...illusive. I can picture storming his office, and we see him standing there, but it's just a hologram, and he's off on some god forsaken planet. He's like Cerberus' president, if he was in danger, he wouldn't remain in the same spot. He would be constantly moved about the galaxy until the person persuing him somehow figures out where they are going, and gets there first, or gets tired of chasing, but considering the giant sentient machines dying to om nom on every organic being in space, I believe Shepard has more to deal with at the moment. XD

One of my conspiracy theories is that he is kind of like Saren, but the exact opposite, like he was touched with their technology and now thinks that if he had visions, be believes he knows how to take down the Reapers; instilling Humanity's power within the galaxy, and allowing the attacks to cripple the other species so they ultimately have to listen to humans.
I see him as a sort of silent, futuristic, Hitler.

I agree with you, with the caveat that I love romance and find it far more interesting than saving the galaxy because that part's rather dull.
Only through the saving-the-galaxy part do we get to see the most interesting aspects of some characters, including Miranda's. The plot - well, I find the Reaper plot interesting, but in the end it would be nothing without characters as fascinating as Miranda.jtav wrote...

I wouldn't want to miss out on romances, but I sometimes I feel that this isn't the Miranda fan thread but the Miranda romance fan thread. And I have a very limited tolerance for mindless gushing.

Heya all,
I can't really think of a better place to post this, but I feel I owe it to my readers to give an update of sorts about the status of my fanfic Degrees of Inheritance since I've been getting a slew of people asking when I'd update the next part.
Chapter 6, which is the penultimate chapter, is a monster. It will definitely be more than 30k words, of which I have 20k written so far. Unfortunately, I've been blackmailed into going overseas for the next two weeks or so and it's not likely I can get any writing done during that time. I'll still try my best though, but much apologies for the delay. It does look like the earliest date I can release is early October, but I promise the chapter will be chokeful of plot and character development you'll forget about the wait. It is the homerun, after which Chapter 7 will wrap everything up.
Thanks for being so patient and I return you to your regular programming.
