I wouldn't want to miss out on romances, but I sometimes I feel that this isn't the Miranda fan thread but the Miranda romance fan thread. And I have a very limited tolerance for mindless gushing.

Many times I felt this thread was a Miranda romance hate thread, and many fans had to tolerate this.

Well I'm hoping there are enough twists and turns to make the story more interesting than just DAO (gather allies => save Earth and beat the Reapers for good) type of story

ME2. Lol at the pun. But don't sell DA:O short. It could be easily argued that the main confrontation and climax of that game is the civil war, the Landsmeet, and getting Loghain off the throne.

If Mac and his team can make the over arching story as interesting as the episodic "Loyalty Missions" in Mass Effect 2, I won't complain. They've the done a great job at the former. Hopefully they find ways to tie these assignments into the critical path seamlessly. Deus EX: HR did a great job at that.

Hell, who's not for wanting their favorite characters and story arcs to intersect with the critical path?

Well, we all have our pet peeves. The thing I tend to have limited tolerance for is... limited tolerance. In this context, what I mean is that a thread like this should be open to however fans want to express themselves, as long as it's positive and not getting in anyone else's way. Which I think it is, for the most part, by the way. But for me personally, that would be the goal.

Yeah, I hope we see this. I do think that's where the devs are headed, based on the hints and so on that have been dropped.

I doubt the reapers will be completely defeated at the end of ME3.

How much time you think will pass in ME3?. ME2 was like a 3-6 months mission. With the galactic war set up it could be like 10 or 20 years, even more (our WW2 was six years long).

A few months, same as past games.

Yeah, a realistic galactic war should last many years (even decades). ME3 is the begining of the reaper war but I don't think it will be the end. I doubt there will be more than 1 year between the begining and the end of the game, maybe with an epilogue which tell what happen years later.

So we'll gain a magic power to beat the reapers... I'm thinking in chain reaction thing that can wipe out all the reapers. As long as it isn't a protoculture thing like in Macross I'm ok.

I hope not.
I think we will be able to stop the invasion of the whole galaxy, and maybe save important planets (homewolds, Citadel ...), but I think the war won't be over.

I believe Mac Walters said in a tweet that the Reaper threat would be over once and for all, in ME3

Well, after getting ahold of the Reaper IFF EDI does say she's devoting the majority of her processing power to developing anti-Reaper algorithims. It's a shame we don't know of some sort of giant supercomputer capable of processing vast amounts of data at lightspeed. Oh wait, we know the Geth.

Alright then, so we disable the Reapers, now we just have to get rid of them. Solution? Get all of the other races to combine their fleets so that they can destroy the Reapers. Job done.

You sure ?
They confirmed that it will be the end of Shepard's story, but I never seen something about the end of the Reaper threat.
There is also the last interview of Ray Muzyka.

Some interesting ideas there. I expect Shepard's personal touch will be important (a bit like the Warden needing to be the one to slay the Archdemon). Though here, like in DA:O, there may be an "out" or a few different options.

Well considering that Shepards story revolves around stopping the Reapers I'm sure that it will be end of them after ME3 is done

The way I read that part of the interview was:
You beat the Reapers in ME3 but not without the galaxy taking a hit or two...in the next game after that there's a new beginning for every race out there...this could be the setting for an MMO

God I hope there wont be a Mass Effect MMO... it would mean it would turn out like EVE Online or that a new healer class would have to be introduced. I love WoW but WoW has so many drawbacks its not even funny.

I cant immagine growing to hate you all just because ME is stuck as a MMO... I typically hate MMOs because 95% of the time spent on MMO's is either about criticising people for not being L33T (elite) or sell stuff on the in game market and screwing people over with high prices.

I have an unnatural hate for people that play Aliance on WoW. I fell in love with the Horde and it forces you to hate the opposing faction. It becomes rather unplesant after a while.

I've never played an MMO. I probably never will. I don't even care if the advertisements cater to my base animalistic (is that a word?) desires and plasters my favorite of Miranda's assets all over the cover... tmi? Yep.

Personally I want to see this as a response from Miranda...

Miranda: "Go ahead try to use a pick-up line on me punk. Make my day."

MMOs are fun if you have a honest, true, dependable guild to be a part of. Otherwise you might as well go hang yourself in game.

Personally, i think a Mass Effect MMO would be awesome as hell. They could just do the game like Mass Effect now, just with co-op during the missions and while in towns, you see everyone. And the dlc, they could just put it all together to make an expansion. Screw SW:TOR! GIMEE A MASS EFFECT MMO!

And then you would need a Healer class... ROFL... for ME?
