What MisterJB said. And I want her to achieve because she wants to, not because her self-worth depends on it.

Jtav definitely agree with you. Also I"d like for her to understand that it's okay to open up a just a tiny bit that she doens't have to be so tough all the time becasue after all no maatter her genetic enhancements she's still human and she can still feel. I'm not saying I want ther to be a total emotional wreck but form admitting she really does need emotinal support, for instance needing shepard, wouldn't be bad.

I don't subscribe to the line of tought that Miranda needs Shepard. Miranda wants Shepard, it's very different.
And, from a certain point of view, much more meanigfull.

The only thing is, she's already softened a good bit. I'm not sure I want her to go farther. I'd like to see the return of Lazarus Miranda on the job, with her soft side being something only a few see.

And agreed in the strongest possible terms that she doesn't need Shep.

hmm you make a good point too. Wanting is perhpas much more powerful than needing I guess. She is quite capable of handling anything and doesn't really need anyone

Because it implies that Shepard is the sole reason for Miranda's changes during ME2.

I don't hate it, BTW.

Well jtav if you're concerned it shows a sign of weakness it does not. Miranda is human lol.

Because Shepard changes her. She doesn't change herself, nor do they change each other. It reinforces that Shepard is on high and that he can "fix" her while needing nothing from her himself.

I don't hate it and people can change, particularly when they look to change for the better. He doesn't really 'change' rather she chooses to change.

Or maybe I'm bias cause of my fic...Posted Image

It's cool though. jtav is famous for being in the minority of certain opinions.

Hmm I understand. You know perhps they should show how MIranda changed shepard as well in ME3. You know what I'm gonna tweet the devs about this. jtav so the same. You make a valid point too

I'm so confused now. Cuz I didn't play LOTSB yet. I thought it was a good thing and that I thought I changed her.

I feel bummed out now. What's the real reason she changed then?

They can't show how much Miranda changed Shepard, you control his personality.

That a very good way to look at it LuxDragon. Personally it sioesn't bother me that I had some sort of positive influence on her.

Actually, I change my point.

Liara mentions that Miranda had changed because she used to be cold and calculating. However, they only met twice and it was brief. Both times, Miranda was a professional.

I'm not sure I'd say she's changed. It's more like she decided to let Shepard into her personal life. That part of her has always cared for something (Mostly Oriana). The only reason why she needed to be cold was because that's the best kind of attitude to function in Cerberus. Even Jacob mentions it and how he doesn't like that part when working with Cerberus operatives.

Obviously, Shepard runs a different kind of ship and crew, so they simply relax their guards and be more natural.

So in summery... No. No change. Just a small transition from distant professional to personal.

I just want to make sure that you guys don't think that this small change/transition  makes her weak or anything.
