I've been away from this thread for a couple of days, but something has been on my mind recently about Miranda:
I've been thinking about her childhood and orgin. Her upbringing and philosophy in life or of life. And I think there is some real potential here for BioWare to explore in Mass Effect 3.
Spirituality and Religion is clearly a dangerous topic to get into around these parts. What with all the threads about such things getting locked.

And I'm not trying to bring such a discussion into this thread, but I have to say this:
Children ask a million questions at a certain stage of their development. We know that Grunt and Miranda both are very unsettled by how they came into the world. From what they say to Shepard.
Commander Shepard even sort of says that Miranda has low self esteem, on account of it.When I put myself in Miranda's shoes, i can't help but think and see visions of what her time with her father must have been like.
I could so see Miranda's father saying stuff like this to her:
- I am your creator. There is no God.
- I brought you into this world.I can take you out of it.
- You are not human...
Humans have a mother and father.
This is the sort of emotional abuse that i believe her father subjected her to, when she disappointed him.How did hearing all this affect her? We know that she is a strong, beautiful, intelligent and independant woman. But there must have been nights where she cried herself to sleep. And perhaps instead of having a superiority complex on account of her abilities.Struggled for a time with an inferiority complex.
1. I can see her wondering if there is such a thing as a God?
2. And if there is a God, does it veiw her as an abomination?
3. I can see her going as far as wondering does she even have a soul?
We know that Miranda is still struggling with making peace with her past.In 2185 she is 35 years old, but it still is a sore spot.Shepard even comments on how she keeps "coming back to her fathers gentic tailoring of her".
I think with Operative Lawson, there is alot of good material that BioWare can explore... Whatever they decide to do with her in ME3.I hope that she get's a level of screen time that she well deserves
