The problem is that you just threatened Miranda in her support thread.
I'm perfectly ok with you expressing distate over a certain aspect of her character. Personally, I would certainly not appreciate it if Miranda discriminated against Joker because of his deficiency.
However, there are ways of doing this. For example, Jtav has said multiple times that she would not be able to forgive Miranda should she support Project Overlord but she never actually threatened to physically assault her for it.

Yes sir. At first I was confused by this.  Then I felt the tone of what you said and I support everyone's feelings about the game. Let them be heard.

If Miranda were to say something insulting to Joker on the basis of disability, I probably would wish for an airlock option because I'm physically disabled and I wouldn't want to spend time around such characters. But that's not Miranda to me. Not in the way I recoil at the CB line, but in a "did I just get dropped into the Mirrorverse?" way.

So?.... I presented a hypothetical situation. I explained my feelings. I also explained that no one is above a certain standard of being an acceptable human being. People have opinions but hurtfull and hatefull behavior should never go on ignored. In real life if people are hurtfull to someone else I call them out on it. I was the guy in middle school that made sure the bullies could not bully the weak and helpless. Proud of it.

I also discussed a situation that did not happen. If it did I would not react any different than how I stated. We are talking about events in the game. Discussing them in a civil manner. Not once did I break forum rules. I am not going to censor my feeling because of your opinions. We all have a right to them.

I support Miranda in every way. If she had acted like I presented as a hypothetical situation I would not be showing my support for Miranda.

Agreed. I guess, hypothetically, if any character started mocking Joker for his disability, I wouldn't approve. But since that isn't likely to happen, I think we're in the clear

It's the same impulse that I expressed a few pages back. I like Miranda as long as she falls within certain paramaters. If she falls outside them, it's highly likely she becomes something I loathe. None of us are obligated to express undying devotion regardless of what a character does. An ablist jackass is an ablist jackass, even if she looks like Miranda.

I'm sure others are more qualified to explain that to you than I... Ieldra2, for example, can be quite eloquent on the subject. As can jtav, for that matter.

Actually, it's not so much the resignation as the line preceeding it. But anyway that is the "CB line" referred to above.

Did you read what I posted? At which point did I suggest you are not entitled to your opinion or that we should blindly support Miranda in anything she does?

However, I am sure you can express your feelings on a much more tasteful manner.

Would that get in the way of the mission too much to be put in? Would it be part of the time Miri is with us.

I hope that since we have a Romantic Relationship with Miri, she would be with us for a long time, more than other characters:wub:.

Then same goes for other players and their LI.

I dont know... some people agreed with how I would handle the situation IN GAME. This is a discussion about how we feel about things in game. Also it is inevitable that violence is mentioned because this is an extreemely violent game. So I dont think you should speak for others.

At the point where you told me not to do it... thats where you said I cant express my opinion. By saying I cant have a violent solution to a hypothetical situation in a violent game you tried to control what I post, and how I post it. Therefore you implied that I may not have an opinion.

Tastefull manner?... Explain to me what exactly do you find tastefull about this game in your opinion... because by the sounds of it you would not approve of:

- Almost all the Renegade Shep interupts
- Casual intercourse between a few of the characters
- Project Overlord is tastefull?

If these are the elements that are dealt with in game there is bound to be a discussion involving distastefull situations. If you cant accept that such discussions will occur then I have no idea why you even play the game. The game it self has numerous elements that are accurately described as distastefull. We are here to talk about them.

If you were so worried about that then you would be on a Hello Kitty forum or something like that... where there is no chance of ANYTHING distastefull poping up. Your argument conflicts with the very essence of certain portions of the game. I cant believe that is the case here.

I suspect you do not agree with what I am saying. Its a logical conclusion based on the points I have made above. If so you could have said something like "Dont you dare touch my Miranda!" but instead of sounding all creepy you chose to manipulate the situation and make it sound like as if my post was "distastefull". My opinion was rather tame in comparison to moments in game where Shepard for example:

- Kicks someone out of the window of a skyscraper.
- Shoots a bunch of Batarians that are terrified of getting the plague
- Allows Garrus to kill someone in cold blood
- Kills a politician because the politician is anti-human

Dont sit there and tell me the sky is green and expect me to believe it. You tried to censor my opinion which legitimately dealt with a hypothetical in-game situation... that IS against forum rules. You should learn a measure of tolerance... it could do you some good.

If not you know how to contact a Moderator... take your false complaint there.
