I have a lot of trouble envisioning Miranda with Joker.
On the other hand, almost any pairing can be done believably in the hands of a skilled author. For example, Miranda/Jack seemed fairly ridiculous to me until I read The Convict and the Loyalist by the.subverter.
Miranda/Jack actually strikes me as quite plausible in a lot ways. I'll have to check this out when I get a chance.

The Renegade Romance with Operative Miranda Lawson is far superior to the Paragon one
I usually choose a mixed path:
LM Debriefing
The scene leading to the kiss
And assuming that we can take up the romance again in ME3:
This
If not, then
This.
@Ieldra2: Oh, I wasn't saying that I play the Miri/Shep romance completely Renegade - just this part...
My first time playing out her romance, was in fact probably completely Paragon. But i later discovered that Miranda seems to react more strongly and in a more memorable fashion to Renegade Shepard wooing her...Another example would be when Miranda ask Shepard to "promise her" that he won't die.I think what renegade Shepard says is better written and (I may be mistaken) Miranda's response is unqiue. She get's up and hugs Shepard.I don't think she does that to "I died once.I don't plan on dying anytime soon Shepard." <_<

DXHR only with genetic engineering.
That's not a bad idea. You should put it in my thread

A few years back I got Strep Throaght... and didnt know it because my body was fighting it off quite well... I went to sleep at midnight one night and woke up with a 105.1 degree fever at 2 am... went to the hospital and found out the Strep I had that I never noticed turned into Scarlet Fever...
I dont know what the Quarians are complaining about... strong immune systems suck too... a perfect balance is what is needed... but yeah I never subscribed to people with defects being less of a choice for a romanic relationship... in fact they might be the best choice from a psychological point of view... some of the people I have met with defects are some of the most mature, kind, and open individuals I have ever met in my life....
Joker's one character flaw is thaat he can never be serious

Being for destroying the base does not constitute character growth. Being of two minds about it, conflicted, that would have been character growth, whether in the end she chose to support destroying the base or keeping it.
That's what I meant... Miranda's heart skipping a beat because Shepard says "Let's blow it sky high!" is unbelievable on so many levels. Granted I blow the base up anyway, but she could've at least shown some remorse over losing all the knowledge that was stored in there.

An unpublished chapter of Elyvern's "Degrees of Inheritance" I'm beta-reading atm. Likely to be published in about ten days when she's back. I won't spoil it in public, if you want to be spoiled, ask me in a PM.
Thank you! I'll just keep an eye out for the update.

Or just use 7Zip unzip it in cbr form as well.
Not bad, just wondering how accurate that is, he might not really get along with my Sheppie, if he's like that.

@Ieldra2: I certainly appreciate the work you put into helping Elyvern with writing that story.
Regarding Interstitium, the author does switch POV's every chapter, and sometimes within the chapter, but the great thing is that each chapter is pretty much a self-contained story. And AssaultSloth is SO GOOD with every single characterization he does.
I would highly recommend reading chapter 18. It's something like 20,000 words long, but it's freaking amazing. It's Wrex-centric, but also features Miranda fairly prominently.
Agreed, it was great watching her get dragged into a krogan battle (Wrex's idea of a little light entertainment, no doubt). I mentioned that to the author and he said her character really has grown on him on as the story goes on.

Just re-read some parts and was reminded why I
didn't like it in spite of the good writing. It's too apparent he
doesn't like Miranda. I don't like the way he portrays her, her reaction
at the end of her chapter is unprofessional (though I can't really
blame her for it) and I dislike his Shepard. Also in chapter 18, he puts
her through hell just for the lulz. I didn't find that plot element
convincing.
I agree his reason for putting her there is thin. OTOH, putting a character through hell can be a measure of how much you do like her.
I would find it hard to portray her as ruthless to the point of being evil, and openly at odds with Shepard as the author has done, though it would be good for dramatic tension.

I really doubt Vrolik's has anything to do with it, but they definitely don't strike me as the other's type.
Agree, his sense of humor would make it impossible. I can see Miranda using, at most, very dry and subtle irony - on a good day.
Miranda and Jack seems much more plausible, given their backgrounds have more in common than either would like to admit (as Made Nightwing nicely illustrates with this story), though the constant swearing and anger would be a problem for someone with Miranda's self-control.

Yep, I think so, too. Not that she respects him less for it, but as a mate? Won't happen. As for Jack, I can see them striking a friendship, very, very, slowly and after a lot of battles fought together. But not more than that. Remember, Jack says she doesn't do it with girls.clennon8 wrote...
Sorry to say, Joker's disability would definitely be a factor in Miranda's consideration of him as a potential mate.

In the promise scene, I think Miranda will respect an honest assessment more, that's why I always choose that option. The Paragon side has a few good lines, but certain parts make me cringe - and Miranda appear weak. I could never choose anything else now but the option that leads to "Remember, I put you back together, and I do damn good work."

I'll think about it, but your title is a little too provocative. It appears to attract the wrong crowd.

For those who've read the comic: how do you think Vega and Miranda will get along? I'd say she'd dislike his temper a great deal and he probably wouldn't be too fond of her either.

But yeah I don't see them getting along too well.
I'm curious to know about his incident on Fehl
