I see where you're coming from, and appreciate that. But Dr. King's quote, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter...", was within the context of fighting for morality, justice, and good. The fan art shown here is neither immoral, unjust, or wrong -- because art is a subjective medium...and because it's not the artists intention to make us question whether homosexuality (technically bisexuality) is right or wrong.
So it can't really be applied to this situation.

Technically I'm not getting "vocal" textual might be more appropriate. And I wasn't "complaining"
- I was "explaining" why such images offend me.This may sound like an extreme example to sum. But if someone decided to show pictures of a heterosexual, lesbian or bisexual character, involved in a relationship with an underage character. Because that's what that artist would like to see.Would you not be offended by that? And feel the need to pull a Udina and say, THIS IS AN OUTRAGE.Send in a Moderator!
Images of two consenting adults in a relationship can in no way be compared to depictions of an adult in a romantic relationship with a child. Frankly, your posts are starting to come across as rather intolerant, which, as far as I'm concerned, has no place here. (It is especially ridiculous, by the way, that you would post that quote by Dr. King in this context.)
You don't have to like the idea of Miranda being a s/s LI, but you can express that opinion without making inappropriate comparisons such as the above.
And if somebody wants to post a pic or discuss the possibility of Miranda being a s/s LI in this thread, then they should feel comfortable doing so imo.

Poor quality screenshot but I like how Shepard's first instinct is "Check if Miranda is ok."

Yeah. Miri and her Safety= Number One Priority in battle for me, and any other time. There is not going to be a single moment in ME3 where/when I don't think about Miri and wonder where she is, what she is doing, and if she is alright, I promise you that:wub:!

I like the Miranda friendship path.
Edit: Although it feels very uncomfortable for Miranda to call Shepard (or anyone) "the best humanity has to offer."
Why, exactly, out of curiosity? I honestly can't remember what those lines are like in context.
The basic gist of the entire conversation is Miranda telling Shepard that she was wrong and that Shepard is close to if not perfect.
I didn't think that it was "hero worship" at all... In fact I saw this scene as an affirmation by the writers of Mass Effect 2.That for all the benefits and blessings that can come from money. Some talents and profficencies at certain skill sets, can't be bought.
1. Commander Shepard is a great public speaker.Miranda's fathers scientist have yet to find the gene responsible for that socially advantageous ability.
2. Commander Shepard has an "aura" about him.As Kasumi puts it, when you recruit her. There's something about the guy.He just has that "It" FactorAs its called. That's something else you can't aquire from gene modification.
3. Commander Shepard (to use Miranda's own words - I'm paraphrasing) "You have something that i don't have.Something that makes people willing to follow you into hell and back!"
This is why Operative Lawson comes to see Shepard as "the best humanity has to offer" Or said another way: "The right man for the job." She never says that Shepard is "infailable" or the embodiment of perfection.
I personally grew to like Miri alot more during this confession of hers.It takes alot of character and integrity to be honest with people. It takes more to be honest with yourself. And for Miranda to come clean like that.Earned her alot of respect with me.
A great example of what separtes Shepard from Miranda. Is how they react to the Normandy SR2 crash landing after destroying the Collector ship.
Miranda says, "We all knew that this might be a one way trip."
(Renegade) Shepard says, I'll do whatever it takes to defeat the Collectors. But i plan on living to tell about it."
Joker responds, "I'm glad your in charge, Shepard."
I couldn't agree more. You bring up some excellent points!
To me, personally, Miranda is the only female LI who isn't all hero worshipping Shepard. Shepard has to prove to her that he can get the job done! I do love the look Miranda and Shepard give just after that, standing behind Joker.

I sware... Sometimes I am of two minds concerning Operative Miranda Lawson...
There is the part of me that wishes she would have stayed true to Cerberus Ideals and came to blows with Shepard over the fate of the Collector Base.
And then there is the other part of me that completly understands why she resigned from Cerberus:
I don't think that her resignation was all that abrupt at all.Miranda has been with Cerberus for years. She spent two years of her life, doing all within her power and intellect to bring Shepard back among the living. She studied this man.She learned everything she could about him.It is clear from the Prologue in ME2 that takes place in 2183 - that she was already a great admirer of Shepard.I don't doubt for a second that she came to hold Shepard in much higher esteem than the Illusive Man.Cerberus may be all about protecting humanity and advancing its interest.TIM may have big plans for the human race, but Shepard's actions brought about great change an advancement for humanity.
From Miranda's perspective: Jack Harper, talks the talk. But Commander Shepard, walks the walk...
Now consider that Miranda was assigned to the Normandy SR2 to keep an eye on Shepard, Report back to TIM, and help Shepard save humanity. She is in th thick of things. But being on this side of a Cerberus operation, and not by the Illusive Man's side. She starts to see things differently.
As your party members in Dragon Age: Orgin can either "Approve" or "Disapprove" of your actions.Miranda finds herself not in agreement with much of what TIM is doing.Circumventing Shepard's command.Making unilateral decisions without informing anyone.Jeopordizing everything they are working to acheive.
Miranda was on that Collector ship.
Miranda was on Horizon when its the first she herself and Shepard and Co. here about rumors concerning Commander Shepard.
Ms.Lawson saw how the Illusive Man was doing all within his power to limit Shepard's options and she didn't like this.It reminded her to much of how her father use to treat her.And if you notice, Miranda goes about trying to get Shepard to join Cerberus in her own way.During the course of the game. And TIM is undermining all the work she's putting in. <_< Miri at times is much better at recruiting than TIM is...
So when the Suicide Mission pops off.Miranda finds herself at an impasse. After being with Shepard as they clean up Cerberus mishaps all over the damn galaxy.Given that organizations track record. She isn't about to give the Collector Base to such an organization... And she herself, no longer wishes to associate herself with the likes of Cerberus. And I guess, given all that's happened.I can understand that...
Yes! Makes sense to me. If I can offer my opinion about how I see my own role played version Shepard that I play. Shepard was getting tired of cleaning up all the messes from Cerberus. And the Collector Base would be another such mess he'd likely be involved it "cleaning up" because to me it seems nothing ever goes right with Cerberus dealings. Not that I've seen. Someone is always paying the price for being experimented on or death by indoctrination! But whatever decision we all made, TIM is going to do whatever HE WANTS regardless of what decision we choose. That's my opinon. If you don't agree, that's your opinon. I absolutely love Miranda's line of telling TIM off...

Seriously. Even though the scene cuts to a movie, her tumbling animation is fully animated - arms waving and stumbling over to the side. HilARIous. Especially considering her footwear. Anybody else would have snapped their ankle.

And I totally agree with you about how you said you love the way Miranda and Shepard look at each other, when they are standing behind Joker in the cockpit. My Shep and Miri color coordinate. So they really look like they can read each others thoughts there.
Miranda looks absolutely gorgeous in that shot as well.
And I agree with you as well about why she saw destroying the Collector Base as the right thing. For me, I now think that concerning the CB one has to ask themselves: "Is this "forbidden" knowledge? Should any sentient race ever know how to create a Reaper?" I'm uncomfortable with that.
Even though, more than not, I keep the Collector Base.I see the other side of the equation - now, better than I did before.

Shepard never flirts. It doesn't count. She doesn't have to say it.She shows it...
I would think the fact that FemShep can have the same impressive resume and service record as ManShep and be just as attentive to Miranda's needs, but Miranda doesn't look at her twice.Should make it clear that Miri doesn't fancy girls.
Inconclusive to prove that something isn't there. In fact I've noticed that there are many subtle differences in how Miranda interacts with male and female Shepard.Even in the scene where Shepard wakes up on the table in the Lazarus station when Wilson messes up or tries to kill Shepard.
Also the inflections in Yvonne's voice is different when talking about ManShep.
