Oh, I've watched the Illusive man's greedy expression at the end when Shepard gave him the base. I swore at the computer screen at TIM and haven't kept it in any of my play through. My shepard was pure renegade and went paragon at the end.

But you know what the Illusive man's "greedy" expression reminds me of:

The expression that Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is said to make when Harry Potter tells him in Goblit of Fire that the Dark Lord used his blood to reconstitute his body.

For years many Potterheads questioned what was up with Dumbledore's reaction to hearing that. But when we found out, in later books. It turns out that it was far from a "nefarious" grin.Perhaps the same is true of TIM.

Perhaps...

Edit: Oh crap! I got the Top of Page Post.So I guess that  I am honor bound to put in a pic of Miri.So Whoop. Here it is: :D

Does this song remind you of Miranda in any way: Has that strong vibe

Something about it resembles Miranda for me, might be her strong attitude or something, I don't know.

I listened to the song, and could say that you are right

And Miranda kind of has an inferiority complex.

Exactly. Jack's better.

Jack's salvageable. Don't write her off just yet.

Yes actually, it does:

As this was playing I got the image of her sitting, facing a window that looks out into space and thoughtfully looking over over her resutls on the Lazarus project so far (it's say, a few months before Shepard 'wakes up') via datapad.

I'd probably add a small smile (as they are so far on track with the project), panning of the camera around her and a sip of a drink (probably wine) into this but my brain is tired, need sleep.

Poor quality screenshot but I like how Shepard's first instinct is "Check if Miranda is ok."

Awwww, and I do that all the time. If ever I am playing and hear her get shot, I unleash hell just so I know she'll be okay. :D

Probably why she hardly ever dies on me during a mission.

I think a difference kind of confidence issue is appropriate. Just who is Miranda without Cerberus?

I think that's a logical new direction to go in, though it's compatible with the issue of overcoming self-doubt and angst regarding her genetic enhancements. Striking out on her own and finding a new place in the world without the support of her father or TIM should really allow both of those character arcs to be brought to a satisfying conclusion.

Miranda without Cerberus: a supremely capable woman with ideals and a cause that she needs to give a new direction. I am with jtav in this as I see two directions she might take: either take over her father's business empire or take the remains of Cerberus (mostly intelligence, scientific data and material resources like space stations) and built "humanity's STG" from it.

@LexieTheT-Rexy: You know what... this lady is a talented artist. But I must say that I just can't buy how she portrays Miranda in a same-sex relationship with FemShep. Its not just the sexual orientation of Ms.Lawson that is OOC.Its the way Miranda is shown behaving around FemShep. As if she were nothing more than some damn groupie and not one of the most accomplished and powerful ****** sapiens in the Mass Effect Universe.

I've even heard some people say things like (I'm paraphrasing) "Sense Miranda can't have kids,She should become a lesbian." That I think is incredibly insulting...

Yep, it is. I've also seen those pictures before and I know why I didn't post them here. No groupie-Miranda, please.

I don't have anything in principle against Miranda in a relationship with a woman except continuity issues, but it does nothing for me, I find it hard to adapt to the idea and I'm getting tired of the overpresence of fanfic and art featuring it. Where are the good maleShep/Miranda fanfics and pictures?

She was able to meet her one and only sister in the entire universe.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. We don't know yet what Mr. Lawson did with the others.

Unfortunately I doubt there will be more sisters in ME3. But it's such an interesting idea and several fanfics have extrapolated on it. Later this day I'll be mastering a tabletop RPG in the ME universe set in 2166, with Miranda and her sisters an important plot element.

Would be a cool twist. I can see it now...

*Shepard leaves Earth after the initial Reaper-conflict to try and unite the races
*Goes to an Alliance prison and finds Miranda in a clean but windowless cell
*Throws her some cool clothes and says "We should go".

I'd rather Miranda get out on her own and meets Shepard as he goes in. And not in a prison but on a Cerberus space station Miranda tried to infiltrate and got caught. Temporarily. That would tie in better with Cerberus as the main enemy. Though I don't hold the Alliance in high regard either.

I think first you have to ask where the good stories are, the internet being what it is. And then, well, most writers on FFN are female. I have a hard time empathizing with MShep, and my femslash gets more comments in general. mShep/Miranda just hasn't attracted the same degree of interest.

They need to make a mass effect tv series( and make bioware the writers and do it right) starring miranda during her time as a teen up to the point she saved her sis and went to join cerberus.

I would love to see that, but sadly, I don't think our culture is ready for a woman protagonist who isn't Paragon. See how Sydnew Bristow got portrayed in "Alias".

Yeah, you never notice how appropriate Sturgeon's Law is until you try to find good fanfic. Or fan art. Granted, some of the writers and artists may be in a learning process, but surprisingly bad writing is, though common, less of a problem than boring subject matter and uninteresting plots. Browsing non-ME fanfic yesterday, I found that ME fanfic, while generally more often badly written, has less of a romance focus than some other fanbases. I find that refreshing.

The STG comparison has always struck me as a little odd, even for Miranda to make in the game, since there is the obvious distinction that Cerberus is not officially sanctioned and there is no government oversight.

I think we tend to envison Miranda's new organisation as being independant, like Cerberus, but more principled because Miranda is in charge. Which would mean it still isn't "humanity's STG," really. The Alliance must have a spy network and covert operatives of its own already, I would think.

The comparison was mostly in matters of ethics. The STG also thinks that some ends justify pretty bad means, but they have a limit. Which is how I envision Miranda's organization to be. How it can function independently, I need to think about that. My basic idea is that it's officially a science foundation or corporation dedicated to human enhancement technologies, with the black ops division hidden under several layers of internal clearance levels.

If Miranda does lead some kind of organization like this... well, to be honest, my goal is to eliminate single-species governments and other institutions, so I'd hope she could just eventually join the STG. But if it must be human, eliminate everything Cerberus beforehand so she can start something fresh.

Also, I believe it'd require government oversight and communication with the Council, like the STG has.

I guess the larger question is: is it really possible to "do Cerberus right"? Even though I would certainly trust Miranda more than TIM, a powerful, covert organisation with no real oversight is always going to be a problem waiting to happen. What happens if Miranda is killed? Who will be her successor?

On the other hand, if there is going to be government oversight or authorization, then I would imagine that an existing organisation fills more or less the same role already, whether it be a covert espionage division of the alliance, the spectres, STG, etc.
