I didn't talk about instituting anything. Miranda's organization would still be, technically, a terrorist group.

Maybe her father did, too? It's possible. We know so little about his motivations. I do think there's a sort of "Michael Corleone becomes the Godfather" potential in Miranda...where it looks like she's running away from it, but in the end she embraces it.

Well, I hope those who hate Cerberus are given the option of erradicating it. I also hope that this will only be possible if Miranda is still alive.

Why do you hope it's only possible if Miranda is alive? How would it make sense?MisterJB wrote...
You're not the only one. Though, I never really understood why some people act as if anything Cerberus related is tainted somehow.

Why? To punish the haters who killed her in the SM.
How? It depends on what happens in ME3. Disposing of TIM does not eliminate Cerberus as a whole. Logically there should still be Cells out there who could plage the Galaxy for decades. Miranda should be needed to either rein them in or localize and destroy them, depending on the player's choice.

Well, I didn't. I won't deny that I kind of hated Miranda on my first playthrough, but I didn't.MisterJB wrote...

I stopped hating her during her loyalty mission, although there I mostly felt annoyance that I couldn't continue to hate her, because I kind of wanted to. But she turned out to not really be that bad, and I was able to restrain myself from siding against her with Jack (though I would have if I hadn't been able to defuse things). And I never wanted anyone dead at all.The Uncanny wrote...

Speaking of romance I'm mulling a Shep/Ash/Miranda triangle game. No idea how it'll turn out. I inevitably get frustrated by my inability to play Shepard as I like--in this case Sole Survivor and recovering alcoholic who has issues with comittment because people die on him.

Why does that sound so familiar to me? [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]
And a refreshing angle to write from I think.

It's a variation of an old idea. His dad died a hero in the First Contact War, so he's got a desire to prove himself. Akuze left him scarred and with a substance abuse problem he mostly kicked by the time the game comes around, but a superficial charm he uses to keeo people at a distance. Ash is a natural fit. Then ME2 happens. Ash turns her back on him (his opinion, not mine), Wrex sends him to another thresher and the only person who cares whether he falls off the wagon is a Cerberus agent. Doing Arrival pre-SM, so it's reallly a case of "nothing left to lose" when it comes to romance. No wonder he's so outardly casual about dying. No future either way.

This is the exactly the way the my canon shep playthrough is going...outside of thw whole alcoholic thing...but he did romance ash in ME 1 n fell HARD though( he doesn't admit it from his paragon comment ' I'm not looking for love, I'm just trying to get you into bed, Miranda." wich of course prompted the response from Miri of...."Ass") for Miri in ME 2....

Yeah, that was one of the oddest paragon lines in the whole game...that's why when doing that following up the renegade romance path, it sounds even more hilarious( considering the kiss you can plant on her during the whole back n forth thing they got going on).

Thing is, the Love? line would be played fairly straight? This is all post-Arrival, so no future is possible. Not that he doesn't care, but what's the point of admitting to wanting or asking for anything beyond sex.
LOL, there is none...and yeah, I wanna read this story once you finished writing....
