I wouldn't mind if something like that was alternate attire in ME3. I mean it's pretty combat efficient right?

I hope so!:o....<3

jtav, Ieldra, how do you roleplay your Sole Survivor Shepard? I find myself unable to play a SS Shepard in ME2.

Keep in mind I haven't played Nate yet.

Main thing I'm doing is isolating him from Garrus and Tali in ME1. No recruitment for Garrus, mean to Tali. So he has no one and nothing. And it's a Cerberus officer who saves him on Grunt's LM. He's haunted by the ghosts of his war hero father and his men. He gets drunk a lot.

One I'll likely never see is what she says for holding the line. She's very far down on the priority list.

Hmm. I might just do that for a game where only Miranda and Mordin survive. Requirements for "Miranda holds the line by herself" are steep though: Don't recruit Zaeed or Kasumi, no ship upgrades, a number of failed/undone loyalty missions and five deaths on the SM.

Sounds like fun

For me, anyway, as Miranda and Mordin are my favorite squaddies. By a lot.

A bloodbath is no fun at all.<_<

Having your LI as part of the bloodbath is even worse. :(

I would never do that.

I'll probably do a playthrough like that at some point, just to see what ME3 is like with a decimated squad. Doubt I'll ever save a game with a deceased Miranda, though.

That stat you posted earlier, Ieldra, about 13% (or thereabouts) of squaddies dying is very interesting re: ME3's design.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mordin was the one who died the most often in that 13% :(

He's probably pretty high up there, as he seems to drop very easily while holding the line. Can he be affected by the ship upgrades, though? Those characters probably have a pretty high death rate. Jack, Grunt, Legion... who else?

I'd think Mordin and Tali since they can die without you doing anything "wrong."

Thanks. I don't know if I can play a Sole Survivor, but I'll try (maybe after ME3). I want to have the possibility to express what Shepard thinks about Cerberus, due to his past with them. I don't have nothing against Cerberus in general, but as a Sole Survivor, he should've showed more of his feelings for Cerberus in ME2. At least at the start of ME2 and on the SR-2 after Freedom's Progress.
Have you planned what to do in the CB? I think that if I'm going to play a Shepard with the SS background, I'll destroy the base.

The question that has haunted Cyrus Shepard with regard to Akuze is "If they needed humans to experiment on, why the hell didn't they use pirates?" Even more, if it was to test the viability of thesher maw venom on enemies, why not batarian slavers? It all makes no sense for a pro-human organization so it is unlikely that that has been official Cerberus policy. Unfortunately, we are not given a chance to ask that question in the game, so it either remains unanswered or I need to imagine that Miranda has some answers for him since he wouldnt trust TIM's. I have a few ideas about that but haven't yet decided which one to use. Anyway, it is an old wound, not quite healed but not virulent any more, easily overpainted by the realization that the goals of those Cerberus people he knows personally are in alignment with his own. From time to time he asks himself if he isn't suffering from some kind of Stockholm Syndrome, but...there is Miranda, a woman who could've been made to his specifications, as he sometimes jokes to himself. He would forgive the universe worse for having let him meet and know her. It helps that the scientists of the Akuze project are all dead...

I'm keeping the base. Whatever happens, Nate won't be around to fight the Reapers. Give someone a chance, even if it's Cerberus.

Understood. Did you keep the base? I kept the base in some of my playthrough, but I don't know how a SS could give the base to Cerberus.

I don't think I could give another chance to Cerberus as a Sole Survivor. I did keep it (in truth, I haven't decide yet what decision I'm going to do as my main playtrough), but not in this case. The fact that Shepard doesn't know if TIM was in charge of this operations  (I think he was in favor)  doesn't help to keep the base

Ah, I see. Yes, I could do this if I want to keep the base as a Sole Survivor.
Anyway, I'm busy now with playing my two main playthroughs (a Paragade Spacer/War Hero who destroy the base and a Renagon Colonist/Ruthless who keeps the base). I'll decide what to do with the Sole Survivor playtrough later.
Thanks to both you and Ieldra for responding to my questions.

Same. My Renegade run ended terribly. I'm also a nice person, and hate being a butt hole. I can't even take the tyrant pathways in Fable...

Actually if you are doing Arrival before the Suicide mission there would be no way in hell Shep would keep the CB. Ingame perspective: The Aliance sends a highly organized platoon of specialist to research a Reaper artifact. They become indoctrinated. The CB is a Reaper tool to be used... no way would SS Shep keep it after doing Arrival... too much data point to the fact that anything to do with the Reapers cant be studied without risking indoctrination.

That was made clear to me after the Reaper IFF mission. Dealing with anything reaperish could be bad news so my Shepard chose to blow up the CB.

There's also counter-data in the form of EDI and the Thanix. The base can be studied like anything else and he will not throw away a weapon.

You should live a little. I've heard killing off most of your squadmates is good for self-esteem...Or not. It's fun though.
