I have a counter on my desktop that tells me how long until March 6th. And I plan to go to school every day until then (except for my birthday, which I told my dad last year I'm skipping), and I'm going to pre-order the PC version, as well as go to WalMart at Midnight and buy an xbox version. I will then ask that he will let me miss the next two days so I can spend it playing Mass Effect 3.

I assume, since I live in no-where's land, that since they had a midnight release of Madden 12 at my Walmart, they should have Mass Effect 3, if not, I'll try and get to Tridelphia, or somewhere populated. XD I WILL be getting this game at Midnight.

Personally, I can deal with the wait. But I'd like some Miranda news. That would give me confidence that I will enjoy the game to the fullest once it is released.

I probably won't be able to play it extensively until my spring break at the earliest, though. Too busy until then, unfortunately.

I was wondering if you were referencing origin, but I wasn't sure what "DRM" stands for. (I'm still not, actually, though I guess I'm missing something really obvious?) Yeah, the whole Origin issue is troubling. I expect it will be required. I hope that some of the licensing language is cleared up by then.

Thanks. And, yeah, I would agree. It's something I will be taking a close look at prior to the release of the game.

I'll make it to the 6th. Making it from the 6th to the 9th, when the game will be available hereabouts, without going insane, that's a different proposition altogether. Why the hell can't they publish everywhere on the same day?

And I'll be taking a week off after the 9th.

It's easily replayed, though. All you need for a "Miranda holds the line alone" scenario is
(1) Don't recruit Zaeed and Kasumi
(2) No ship upgrades
(3) Keep a save before starting the SM.

Then on the SM:
(4) Select Legion and Tali for the Oculus
(5) Select Samara as fire team leader, Tali in the vents
(6) Select Jacob as biotic specialist, Grunt as distraction team leader and Mordin as escort.
(7) Select Jacob and Legion as squadmates for the final boss.

After you've seen what Miranda says when holding the line, reload the game from (3), do all the ship upgrades and select the appropriate squadmates for the different roles. If you're playing on Casual, it's all done within half an hour.

For my "only Miranda and Mordin survive" game, I'll only need to leave Legion's, Kasumi's and Jacob's LM unplayed and kill Zaeed on his LM later. Don't know if I'll have the heart for that, though. Six deaths is enough of a bloodbath.

The question that has haunted Cyrus Shepard with regard to Akuze is "If they needed humans to experiment on, why the hell didn't they use pirates?" Even more, if it was to test the viability of thesher maw venom on enemies, why not batarian slavers? From time to time he asks himself if he isn't suffering from some kind of Stockholm Syndrome, but...there is Miranda, a woman who could've been made to his specifications, as he sometimes jokes to himself. He would forgive the universe worse for having let him meet and know her. It helps that the scientists of the Akuze project are all dead...

I always keep the base. Finding out more about the Reapers trumps any other consideration. I won't risk the galaxy for my personal traumas. Saving the galaxy from the Reapers might be a self-appointed duty, but Cyrus Shepard takes it no less seriously for that. Miranda says it best: "The mission is too important to let personal feelings interfere". Cerberus' excesses are something to deal with after the war.
