Well, if there isn't one, then you can bet Miranda will be on the squad. But I don't think anything can be ruled out at this point, as there are more squad members to be announced. If there is a new human female lead, they are certainly taking their time building her up, though, compared with Vega, I will say that.

I feel about the same. Actually, though I resent the idea of new human team members I'm somewhat curious about what they come up with.

Otherwise, it's the old story. Characters I líke are relegated to supporting cast, while those I dislike get big roles. Happened all too often to me and the fact that I'm totally fed up with it and the possibility that Miranda might break the pattern if they only let her makes me especially sensitive here.

The other aspect I'm totally fed up with is the syndrome that manifests in ME as Paragon favoritism. But nI've said enough about that.

Possibly, but I feel like that is a huge overkill. Since they're lowering the number of squadmates, they're not going to fill it with humans. We need some kick butt aliens to help out too.

Well, I much prefer Leliana to Tali as a character, but Mister JB has a point about her filling a bit of a similar role in certain respects, personality-wise.

sorry to confuse you, Leliana is an LI for both Male and Female hero and one of the important characters in Dragon Age, another franchise Bioware created.

Legion won't be permanent, if you ask me. Neither will a krogan. If they take Aria seriously, she'll be a temp on a mission on Omega. Also we don't need another permanent asari.

I think they want to represent one, or a couple squadmates from each race. Or at least make them prominent. We have the asari (Liara), Quarians (Tali), Turians (Garrus), and I'm sure they will pot in a krogan, though I feel like Mordin will be the only Salarian that we can handle.

Well, Casey Hudson has been insistant that people are wrong to talk about permanent squad members for ME3. With regard to Tali, for example, he tweeted that she could be recruited to the squad, but nothing is permanent.

So, really, there are probably three levels of returning character, maybe four, if you count cameos:

1) Cameo (DLC characters, probably)
2) Temporary companion (My term, but what I mean is they join you in combat for certain missions without joining your squad in the traditional sense, like Mordin appears to be doing in the ME3 demo mission.)
3) Temporary squad members (Can be recruited to the squad, but don't necessarily stay permanently. Tali, Legion, Aria, maybe Miranda. Maybe a couple of others.)
4) Core squad, probably VS, Liara, Vega and maybe one or two more who are basically there throughout the game for all intents and purposes. Though even here there might be more coming and going than we are used to.

Did Bioware say that there is going to be more possible squadmates? Like Fulltime squadmates depending on your decisions from both games?(ME1 and ME2?)

I like Tali she has a great attitude... but for me Garrus is the best bro. I honestly cant immagine my Shep not asking him to be the best man at his wedding. Garrus is just the kind of person you meet in life and never get rid of because they are very dependable and value their friendship with you. He's one of a kind.

Just for fun: We all have one or two decisions we either can't make or lose sympathy with Shepard for making. But if that decision were required to have Miranda on the squad, would you make it.
