Sorry. I meant Shep dying. It's touching, but not that interesting. She's scared of heartbreak.

Well, of course. She probably never felt anything similar to what she feels for Shapard and it's natural to be afraid of loosing that. It may be cliched way to go around it, but chicles became cliches for a reason - they work.

The transformation from her matter-of-fact mission briefings to her heartfelt confession that she desires Shepard and fears for his safety is rather touching, from my perspective. I am well satisfied.

Touching? Maybe. But not a fantasy that works for me at all. I prefer the version where the frightened party expresses it by moving mountains to keep the other safe. For example, if (and this won't happen) Miranda had gone to the Alliance and offered everything she knew about Cerberus in exchange for the death penalty being off the table.

To each his own. I find that to be in effect for her sister who she tries to protect at all costs, so it's good to see different kind of worry she expresses for Shepard.

To each her own. And I suspect gender matters here in a way it normally doesn't. Because the crux of her appeal for me is I want the same level of devotion she extends to Oriana. And that seems to be a very feminine fantasy, to have the strong protector at your beck and call. If Shepard had been crushing on Tali instead of the other way around, you'd never see me here.

Interesting thought! I'm female and I never really looked at the relationship that way although your reasoning no doubt makes much sense. Much more so than mine, actually.

Though she would do anything in her power to safeguard Oriana, she wouldn't talk to her unless you actively encourage her. Originally I had no intentions of romancing her, but I found it I really valued the things she was gradually able to tell me. Being one of the very few ones whose respect and affection I had to work hard to earn, that moment when she just says outright that she cares and doesn't want to see any hard to come to Shepard was simply amazing, just because it was unlike anything we've seen her do before. The simple act of opening up to a person.

From my perspective the attraction perhaps comes from the fact that Miranda reminds me much of myself, and while it eventually becomes easy to maintain appearance of someone in control, inside is entirely different matter. It's much easier for me to forsake myself for someone else's well being but I cannot talk to people.

In any case, thank you. I've enjoyed this conversation.

Oh, sorry. I probably didn't come out the way I meant. It was the same for me. I loved having to earn her regard. Things earned are always more meaningful. I'd never thought of the promise scene as a confirmation that you had earned that regard. You've given me something to think about.

Unlikely considering what I said before about her wrapping up Chuck in November (filming)...which it seems was ignored...

VA's have at most 4 sessions with each session being 1-4 hours long

November to say January? I think she will have time...

Actually, Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan's voice) said he had 20 sessions for ME1. And he's been recording since 4 months now for ME3.

If they were smart, then as part of the contract for ME2 VA work, they'd have included ME3, especially as they're using her digitised face...

They probably did, but that may not rule out contract renegociation and some sort of squabble related to that. Anyway, that's pure speculation. Chuck conflicting seems much more likely, which would effectively mean her voicework would just be added fairly late in the game.

As I recall, someone was saying that this was also true for ME2, actually. Can't recall who/where I saw that mentioned.

Nice. I like the more cartoony take, as a change of pace. Thanks for posting.

It's cute.

Can we get some more armored Miranda shots. I realize I'm in the minority, but she looks so incredibly good in that armor.

I like some aspects of it, especially the visor. It's a bit too bulky, notably the boots imo. That's my only complaint, really.

I think I may be even more in the minority than you when I say I like all three Miranda outfits, and regularly rotate between them in game Image IPB

I think it looks sleek and dangerous. Rawr. Not fitting for romance scenes, bu the first time I went "wow" with Miranda.

Yeah, I like the normal outfits, but I can't stand looking at the armor.

The visor really does it as far as I'm concerned. Really emphasizes the tactical approach to combat.

On a somewhat related note, I'd like to see Miranda have access to sniper rifles in ME3, in addition to her current weapons. Seems like a good fit to me.

Well, no. Really the combat/casual outfit distinction should have been in place already in ME2. It doesn't strike me as an especially taxing feature to implement, though maybe I'm missing something. Looking forward to it in ME3.

That's pretty much what I mean, yeah. I see a lot of partisanship for either the catsuit or the armor. I rather like rotating them.

Here is one:

I have lot more, only I'm not at home and don't have my offline archive available. The problem with the armor is that now, we have the other two outfits in high-res, and I'm becoming disenchanted with the normal quality.

BTW I really like this shot. It looks like they're working together seamlessly as a team. That's what I want to see in ME3.

Is that shot leading into the SM?

That's one of my favorite sections of the game, partly for that reason.

Why can't we compromise by giving her a catsuit with sci-fied "fantasy armor" on top? :P
