And one of my own:

It's horribly ironic that the "died in your arms" is the only good shot of Miranda I've managed.

Thanks Ieldra. And it's unfortunate JeanLuc never got around to it.
Yeah, I remember trying myself when the DLC first came out but never got around to doing much...mostly because I'm just not good at these things + he said he was going to do it at some point --> lazyness on my part

Why can't we compromise by giving her a catsuit with sci-fied "fantasy armor" on top? [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
Just slap that Asari Commando armor and it's done. That armor doesn't do justice to her nice, firm behind.

What's the use? Everyone already knows what everyone else is thinking. For the record: I dislike things that look like painted-on pants and things that make her look available instead of seductive. Both catsuits fit that description.Vertigo_1 wrote...

That's what I'd like actually!
Although, on the ship, catsuit is fine

Thanks. Yes, that's becoming one of my most favorite shots of her. There's this seamless communication that makes them work well together, but her expression also hints at something more. They show such a familiarity with each other...flemm wrote...
Those are all really nice shots, Ieldra. Love the expression in the first one you posted, especially, though.

The "makes her look available" thing I can't get on board with. Feels to me like a bit of a residual sexist stereotype tbh. I do get where you're coming from, you don't want Miranda to be too objectified, and you don't like it that certain aspects of the way the character is presented leave her open to being criticized from that point of view. But I don't think Bioware needs to get all apologetic about her sexiness either.
The "realism" argument I have somewhat more sympathy for. Yes, she would need more protection in combat probably. But in a fantasy game, where nothing anyone is wearing really passes any sort of realism test, I can't get too hung up on it.
The armor is cool, though. Just a different look, really. Which I also like.

Note that I don't say you can't make catsuit-like outfits that are less open to that criticism. Compare Tali's outfit, for instance. Rather close-fitting as well, and she has human characteristics where it counts, so a similar style could be used for humans too, but it doesn't look like it's painted on her skin and it actually looks as if it could protect somewhat. In Miranda's case, it looks as if they'd taken a model of a nude female and from the waist down just retextured it.

And I'm going to take the scene at the end of Miranda's loyalty mission as an example, because I have seen it brought up before in this thread. The asari mercenary says something about how she's waiting for Miranda to finish getting dressed and how she can't believe Cerberus lets her **** around in that outfit or whatever. So, does the asari have a point? Not really imo.
Change the context to the university where I spend most of my time. Let's say a woman walks into a room wearing a tight/revealing outfit (which happens all the time, of course), and somebody says, wow, I can't believe you're whoring around in that outfit! Would that person have a point? Nope. That person would probably get laughed out of the room tbh. Such a dated attitude.
Asari biatch gets the ME equivalent, a biotic bodyslam from Miranda. Exactly what she deserves.
Difference is Miranda is engaging in all these firefights in a sexy outfit, which is, of course, not realistic. So there I am a bit more sympathetic. Though pretty much nobody in ME wears a remotely realistic outfit from that point of view. So whatever.
By the way, the armor looks hawt as well

There is a difference: it's not really intended to be protective in combat. It's the context that makes it seem ridiculous.Change the context to the university where I spend most of my time. I address that above. Same is true of a lot of the other ME outfits, i.e Jack's and Samara's. Even more so, tbh.
