It's been rumored for a while (she's apparently a favorite of Mac Walters), and there is a comic coming later this Fall that appears to feature Omega being destroyed by TIM. New squad members can be built up/introduced/teased/whatever in the comics, and Aria would presumably want vengeance on TIM.
So, to ride the speculation train a bit further down the line, a conflict between Miranda and Aria about what to do with the remains of Cerberus is perhaps not entirely implausible.

There is also a screenshot with a new asari squadmate.

Hard to say for sure, but it does appear to be somewhat reminiscent of her.

Well, there's always the chance she'll be a temporary squadmate, only available for the Cerberus missions.

This sucks. It's already bad enough that they have to fill the quota on Alien squadmates but now we're piling up Asaris.

I'm thinking we have to help her take back Omega (from Cerberus) in exchange for help against the Reapers

Well, I have no particular fondness for Aria but, if we're talking about Miranda's involvement, Aria being featured like this (in the comic, for example) is probably good news tbh.

Am I the only one one who think that the "Aria avatar" looks kinda fake?

Possibly. Everything depends on what they want to do with human females, but they'd make good foils for the Cerberus plot.

Yeah, pretty much. Though comics featuring Vega and then... Aria, that's probably a good sign. So is the decision to make femshep more conventionally sexy and a prominent marketing feature, tbh.

No, what I mean is whether she's new (as I think she will be). Three humans on the permanent squad is about the limit.
What I mean is a new human female squad member would likely be sexy, have a well-known voice actress and be featured in the marketing and/or built up in a variety of ways prior to the game's release. There's still time for some of that, but the longer we go without it, the more likely the second human female squad member is Miranda.
A returning squad member is much more likely to be held back as a surprise, a la Archangel. And right now, by far the best candidate for that type of thing is... Miranda.

Perhaps. Pardon my natural pessimism. It's a character flaw. If your right, she's likely to have a fairly extensive visual redesign because Ash now greatly resembles her. Chances for s/s romance are also increased.

How so? she's more interesting character than 96% of ME2 cast, IMO. And that little story between her and Wrex is awe worthy.I honestly don't care if aria is on the team or not.
