Gibbed. Plot--Henchmen--Flags. Check Miranda in squad.
Currently playing a game where my core squad is Miranda and Mordin, who I rarely put in a squad together because they don't have much synergy, in spite of there being indications that they are, or can become, friends. Looking forward to any changed comments.

Assuming Miranda is on the Normandy, anyone else envision her sniping at the VS for taking her office?

My favorite squad, actually, personality-wise. Not surprising, I guess, since they're my two favorite characters. Not great from a power-synergy perspective, it's true. In my first playthroughs I used that combo all the time, though.
I agree that Mordin/Miranda is a likely friendship, and you do see some some signs of it in the game.

It's an interesting question, since Miranda, that I can recall, is the only character who has her name on a section of the Normandy. There will probably be at least some acknowledgement of the change, especially since it's evocative of bigger tensions. Just another reason why I have a hard time imagining Miranda never being onboard in ME3.
This also raises the bigger question of how space on the Normandy will be used. It's a big ship now, with a lot of space arranged to accomodate squad members basically idling about. We've heard that won't be as much the case anymore.
Combined with fewer squad members at any given time, that would lead to a lot of unused space, I think, at least potentially. So I wonder how the design will adjust for that.

You mean how did she get the widow?!
HEADSHOT!

But yeah you have to modify the c.ini file...a file I no longer have due to hard drive failure (no backup)
And I haven't done moding since Arrival came out in April

I think Miranda may feel a bit like Shep's stray dog there because she has nowhere else to be and mistrusted by the crew.
Just her intel on Cerberus would be invaluable.
But, really, the point would be the tension she would bring to the situation. Just like so many of the squad members in ME2 don't like Cerberus.
RE: Ship design, possibly the squad members won't be as clearly assigned to a particular space as they are in previous games. Might change over the course of the game, or they might just move around more in general.
Given that a smaller squad seems like a strong possibility, I wonder if NPCs may play a bigger role on the Normandy, partly to fill out the crew/use the space.

In RP terms, they're entirely indifferent to each other, but they look really awesome together, no?

I find the miranda side of the romance sweet and good. You can see her character grow and move, you see her vulnerable side in much more detail than a "Friend" shep does in her loyalty mission. Aside from a few moments where it feels like jock and cheerleader (which are brief and not necessarily bad) it feels very human. I like.
However on the shep side... Some of his romance options feel downright creepy, and rapist. I mean out of all the romances shep here feels entirely... Well I felt uncomfortable. I have no idea why Miranda finds him charming at all. O.o

Rapist? To which options are you referring?

Very cool. Excellent screens, thanks.
Edit: Slimeball I can see. Rapist? Not so much at the moment, but perhaps there is something I have overlooked.

It all depends upon what the deal with the Alliance is in ME3. The Normandy has been refited and recomissioned into the Alliance Navy so it's technically their ship. Either Shepard:
A: Gets the ship back because humanity is at war and they need every captain and ship they can get or
B: Gets his sentence delayed until after this business with the Reapers in sorted out, with Vega and the VS sticking around sort of like parole officers.
In the event of option A occuring Miranda is still a full fleged member of the Normandy's execuitive staff, same role as before. In the event of option B we're stuck with whoever the higher-ups put in the XO's seat. Miranda's still a highly capable field officer and scientist.

I do think "rapist" is hyperbolic.
Also, I should probably add that I understand the term was likely being used that way (as hyperbole). Still, it seems like an overstatement, even for illustrative purposes. It doesn't really bother me that Shepard is more forward initially, though I like that Miranda is more in control once she makes up her mind.

I have a problem with one instance of forwardness in "Come on Miranda, you want this." But it's minor. My major problems are inappropriate tone of the engine room scene and the fact that it makes both of them look bad, all the vulnerability being from Miranda, and general cheese.
i hate that line, i cringe everytime......wuts wrong with the engine room bit tho? where else r u gonna do it? in those rooms with all of Miranda's surveillance bugs? And her Shadow Broker dossier showed she was kinda forward anyway.
