Right. I would have read it more as something like, "Talking with you is worth taking a bit of a risk."

"What's the point of X if you can't Y" is a fairly common expression. Usually it's telling the other person to relax about Y. I've never seen it used literally.

Cool. There's so much fanfic and other stuff out there I still need to check out. I'm still pretty new to the ME universe, really. I just got around to playing ME1 and ME2 over the summer.

garrus shotgun ????? thats the geth pulse rifle, and i think the armor is better in combat, a skintight suit can't protected her if her shields go down (at least in term of reality)

I'd cut Garrus out of the picture, 13commander, but that's just my personal dislike of him speaking. I agree that Miranda in armor is absolutely preferable here. She looks sleek and dangerous, just as I want her to look.

Sweet image, 13commander. Miranda + Garrus can be a really effective squad, no doubt. Double overload, warp and concussive shot ftw. Probably one of the most used squad comps in the game, I would imagine.

Re: the armor, I like it a lot overall, and some of the screens we have seen lately of the armor + visor are just awesome. But, I'm going to get picky here and say I don't like the legs as much as the top. Too robotic and mechanical. A sleeker lower body and we're good to go imo.

OK, I have what amounts to minor bad news for those who dislike the engine room scene:

If you choose "Damn it, you're right" in the last romance conversation, Liara won't mention Miranda when she comes up to visit you on the Normandy. I take that as evidence that the romance gets unflagged.

Now can someone from Bioware *please* tell us whether we can reactivate the romance in ME3 after that!

As to your second point, my guess is it depends on squad status. If she is full squad, yes/ If not, no. So I'll say no.

Does Liara bring up Miranda if you decline the engine room? I want to take that into ME3 but I don't want to risk my import getting messed up ie unflagged mirandamance.

I'm not surprised about the test results, since the "friends until this is over" thing should logically just default to a non-romance/new game scenario for ME3.

As to whether Miranda will be available to be romanced in ME3, I think jtav is basically right that it depends on how much she is in the game. Like pretty much everything else.

If she's in it a lot, then you'll be able to start fresh. If not, no. This might or might not be dependant on her status as a squad member, since apparently there will be some romance options off-squad. But it would be dependant on screen time, at least.

This is a bit annoying (not that I hate the romance scene, but I like the other line too). Especially because in ME you have to skip nearly every dialogue with Kaidan/Ashley to avoid the romance<_<.

Virmire. One of the most difficult options in both games for me. Much better that than the SM and how Bioware handled the squadmates's deaths.
I'm not worried about Miranda either. I like her romance scene, though I think that the ME's romance scenes are better.
