People have modded Miranda's hair to blonde. Look it up on youtube.

Doesn't look too bad, but black suits her much better IMO. Besides which, we all know brunettes are hotter anyway...

I'm not sure Germans, Spaniards from Central and Northern Spain, or Scandinavia would agree with you. Speaking of which, wasn't Miranda originally supposed to be Scandinavian? If so, it would make sense for the devs to at least consider making an Alt App pack for her as a blonde for ME3 down the line.

Putting aside the fact that blond hair aren't well-made in ME and ME2 (though from the screenshots of GOW3 Anya's hair looks better, so maybe in ME3 the blonde hair wil be better) I don't see the reason to make a alt app pack for Miranda with blond hair. Not every Scandinavian has blonde hair. They decided that her hair is black, so they should stick with this, or change the hair in the main game. Making an alt pack for hair colour is stupid (even more than a normal alt pack).

Could someone confirm to me that being mean to Ash at the lockers is sufficient for a breakup and that I won't have to Virmire her.

I am German and I agree that Miranda looks better with black hair, *and* I generally find brunettes more attractive, everything else being equal.

No idea. But you can just play on. It'll only be a ten minutes to the Ilos approach where the romance scene should be. If you don't get it, everything's well.

Edit:
Ah...I guess you aren't there yet, else you wouldn't raise the possibility of leaving her on Virmire. Perhaps the Ashley thread knows.

It worked in one of my playthroughs, she didn't come to Shepard's cabin before Ilos and her picture wasn't on Shepard's desk in ME2.

Can anyone tell me why I can't get Miranda into my squad in Arrival with Gibbed's? I checked the "Miranda in squad" flag and re-loaded the save but nothing happens.

Yeah as long as you pick the bottom choices and you don't see the scene where they almost kiss then you're good.

Out of curiosity, why would you like to have Miranda there?

(1) To get something new in my 10th or so run through Arrival.
(2) To look for places where I can make good screenshots

But it doesn't matter any more, I'm through. I still want to know what I did wrong with the modding...

That is a subject of debate here. I believe she'll be a temp, others that she'll be full.

its just speculation unless the "killer new feature" is related to squads and Miri on the squad.

Honestly? I think Garrus and Tali are it in terms of full-time returning ME2 squad members.

probably, for those of you who are Tali and/or Garrus fans(like me) you should be happy. But if you are and/or like your ME2 LI and/or squadmate to return to the squad in ME3(also like me), you are probably raging right now.

No reason to rage, I vote with mah wallet, if she's not in it in proper fashion, I just won't pay for the game.

My completely unfounded speculation on the way the squad works in ME3:

1) At the beginning of the game Shepard will get some squaddies, the VS, Liara, Vega, and "new female squaddie", maybe even Tali and Garrus if they survived ME2. This is what everyone has been calling the core squad.
2) After the Normandy escapes from Earth Shepard will have the opportunity to recruit several more teammates or NPCs from the previous games. But not too many as there is a galactic war on that needs sorting. Shepard must decide which ones to recruit. These will become full squad members for that playthrough. Subsequent playthroughs would let Shepard choose different folks for their squad in order to add replayability. Most squaddies from the previous game will be available at this stage, those you don't recruit now fall through to the next categories.
3) During specific missions Shepard will be able to team up with a previous squaddie who wasn't recruited in the full squad earlier. This will be a temporary team up for select missions which feature this squaddie. Not all squaddies who were recruitable as a full squaddie will be available as a temporary squaddie, they simply don't have such side-missions, or race-loyalty missions which need doing. Those who don't fall through to the last category.
4) Everyone else makes a cameo appearance.

At some point in the story it may be possible that sections 2) and 3) have to be done again, for example some squaddies who were full aren't available for some missions and new ones must be recruited until the full squaddies can return.

This is solely my conception of how the squad will work in ME3. It is entirely possible I am completely wrong. Shockingly, that has been known to happen on occasion.

Not raging, and the only thing giving me pause is the possibility of Origin. I would be absolutely floored if Miranda weren't on the squad at least briefly. The irony is that she'll probably get replaced by a human female Sentinel since that's the gap that most needs filling. Someone to balance Vega and set off those Warp bombs.

Nah, I'm die-hard Miranda/Samara fan and they were in my squad 100% of the time in ME2, but I won't be too sad if I can't play with them in ME3. I just want some sort of closure to my relationship with them, you know? Playing with them is secondary as long as I get something in terms of story I'm satisfied with.

I'd be glad if things work as you say, Athayniel. It would fit with the promise of more replayability.

The thought of Miranda being available for just one mission is severely depressing. I'd rather retain some hope for a more significant presence. The "strategy" of being pessimistic to avoid being disappointed never worked for me.

Likely I won't be able to avoid coming here between March 6 and 9 just to see how it is with Miranda...should Bioware have said nothing until then.

they better at least say something, or release a trailer(without spoiling anything of course)
