If somehow word got out that Shepard gave Cerberus that kind of power, convincing the Council races to fight for humanity will be even harder. Having the fleets of the other races on our side is a much more secure bet than hoping Cerberus will find something useful on that base.Ieldra2 wrote...
You're making the same mistake: sentimentality clouds judgment. You want Miranda to resign so desperately that you're risking losing valuable information that might cost you the war.
If there was a way to not give the base to anyone but study it anyway, I would take it, if only because the Reapers are coming anyway and having an understanding of their tec could be essential.
And we should also take into consideration what will happen even if we win the Reaper War. The Alliance, along with the fleets of the other races, are sure to suffer enormous casualties. Cerberus, empowered by the Collector Base, could try to fill the power void which would lead to a Galactic Civil War.

As long as Bioware acknowledges both - in general and with regard to Miranda - I'm OK with it. But with their annoying Paragon favoritism I'm not confident of that outcome. That's why I won't cease commenting.alperez wrote...
There is no right or wrong choice or way to play there is only your version, no one else's counts.
@MisterJB:
I can just as well envision a more positive outcome. It's only because of people's ingrained belief that bad things can't result in something good that it's always taken as a given that dealing with Reaper tech will alway result in something bad. They simply overlook that the Thanix is Reaper tech, that EDI has Reaper tech and perhaps even Shepard. Heh, at this point I almost wish he had.

Personally i don't let anyone die i don't see the point, but that's just me, but i doubt very much if anyone other than Miranda dying on your playthrough would affect whether or not she dies in me3. If you have casulties you'll miss out on their content and possibly it'll effect something that they might have helped you with but i can''t see for example Jack dies then Miranda can't survive me3.

I LOVE Destroying that damn Base too Hell. And I LOVE it when Miri tells T.I.M. off and quits.<3<3<3<3^_^
I don't want to change the way I play.
The thing is: it COULD be. Just as much as keeping the base COULD be a good thing as some have argued. However, the argument against destroying it is because Cerberus is the enemy (and I wouldn't be surpised if TIM instructed them to do so) whixh is why destroying the base sounds like a bad thing.
Not every good choice leads to a likewise consequences neither does every not-so-good choices leads to likewise consquence. Whatever choice was made, it was going to ****** somebody off!

"if I HAD" to choose casualties it would be Zaeed and Kasumi since they're optional content. Maybe Thane since he's already dying (IMO he's to f**king cool to kill). I usually go for No One Left Behind and chalk up it's success as a dedicaton to Ashley's/Kaidan's sacrifice on Virmire.

I trying to keep the one's I feel who are better assets alive:
These are who I want to survive the most:
Miri- She is also My LI for crying out loud
Garrus- He's been around since ME1
Kasumi- she's cool
Grunt- he can help wrex with the Krogans
Mordin- he may find a way to cure the Genophage
Legion- he can lead the geth to fight on our side.
tali- the quarians can help us
thane- needs better closure, PLUS, he could help bring the drell and hanar to battle.

I want cerberus to go to hell and miranda to quit. My reasons are my own and they aren't wrong with the way I play the game. I just wish people would stop insisting their way is right. We are all different in our views let's leave it as that. Thus, I'll avoid saying more.

I know the feeling. I feel that ME2 as a narrative, the writers behind it, my team members and everyone pushes me into destroying the base, saying it's wrong, wrong, wrong that I keep it. The hate I have for that fact is beyond expression in words.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...

Never cease Commenting, its fun to talk lol.
There does seem to be a Paragon favoritism in mass effect i agree, although we don't know for certain yet if that will carry forward.
I do want to see Paragon actions bite me in the Ass in me3, same as i'd like renegede ones to do the same to renegede players. I just hope the consequences of the actions make sense, that because i did something a certain way this lead to this, my fear is not that bioware won't acknowledge both. More we'll get random effects that make no sense, i didn't scan the keepers in me1 therefore oops there goes Garrus or something like that.

Guess Im a little late for the previous discussion.
@Ieldra
That's a good choice of an outfit for Miri.
As for the xmen Rogue one, I would say the movie version would be a better look.

And here's a more full body shot.

If you notice, it has some extra padding, for protection, yet still falls in line with what we've seen her wear so far.
(w/o the Cerberus logo(s))
Just needs something to accenuate it, like the belt in Ieldra's pic.
ETA: @Yannkee
Thanks!

Well, you can't exactly implement free will (except in the Sims' games)
Seriously, I totally get what you're saying as it is with most people:
"Hope for the best, but expect the worst." This isn't shafting pessimists or lofting optimists. It's firmly resting its laurels on the realists!

This is result of one of my playthrough with the more casualties :

But I also have many other playthroughs with less casualties, and one "No One Left Behind" playthrough.

Other people don't repost their posts just because others post after them. So please stop that.
As for casualties: I have one playthrough where only MIranda, Jacob and Jack survive. Don't look at me like that, Jack was 100% unintentional. the one I'll play first is the one where everyone survived.

I don't want to change the way I play.
Then don't change it. Not everyone does play that way, doesn't make their experience any less important, as long as they aren'¨t asking for changes, that affect both groups of people.
Phew.... ok:happy:
Don't worry, you're not alone. I never taken any issue with Miranda's decision to quit Cerebus if/when Shepard decides to blow up the Collector base, truth be told I actually like that side of her although I must admit that the decision does seem to come from nowhere and Miranda's sudden change of heart regarding Cerebus does seem very rushed.

No one knows, if your happy with it go with, don't worry about what might happen or could happen, just do it, its your game, your experience.
Personally like i said i don't let anyone die, if there dead it cuts out certain potential content but that content may be good or bad i have no idea yet. You do what feels right for you and hope for the best thats all you can do at this point, besides thats the beauty of multiple playthroughs or replays.

For me its a no casulty start point then replay with different choices.
