And remind me to dial down my whining about the romance. Could be so much worse.

The line doesn't bother me, that's who she is, doesn't mean that my Shepard would agree putting it so bluntly though. It didn't surprise me when I got to that point, not sure why anyone would be.

Well, I'm certainly glad she never said that to me...

Why? The mission is stopping the Collectors from harvesting and slaughtering tens of thousands of human beings, which you already know at the time. Of course, you end up discovering that the base is intended to process maybe millions more...

She's recommending giving yourself the best chance of stopping that, rather than rushing after the crew while you are relatively unprepared.

I'm glad because I'm never unprepared.

I don't remember what she says to me; I think it's just something like "be sure of yourself."

And advicing against getting the IFF before the team is ready, to avoid that scenario altogether.

Lines like those won a lot of points from me. It was the right call. Go in with an disloyal squad and you risk a failed mission, making the "rescue mission" idea completely futile.

Well, on that point, I'm totally on Miranda's side and always listen to her.

Yeah, well, in my main runs I'm never unprepared. But some playthroughs are different, like this one. I didn't do any ship upgrades, there will only five survivors and if I can bring myself to do it, I'll even destroy the Collector base.

Yep. Miranda makes very good recommendations if you consider what the mission is about. If she needs to recommend that you go in early because you did the Reaper IFF mission with less than a full and loyal team - well, you *could* have listened to her earlier, then that wouldn't have happened.

@Melrache:
Why would you think that line bothers anyone? Except Xilizhra, of course, but she's not a fan of Miranda so that doesn't count
:P

This may actually trigger an implosion of the entire spacetime continuum. I'm not sure I'm ready for this...

What the heck is the problem with blonde these days people?!
Miranda originally had an amazing design, yet BW still picked the dullest possible one i could imagine for her.
And BlondeShep: a 2nd round of voting for her hair-colour? Seriously BW, something like that is just a sign of weakness.
And yeah, i´m a natural blonde and scandinavian and NO, i don´t worship anything.

Anyway back on-topic...

I´m wondering what kind of Miri´s special power might be in ME3, if she´s a squaddie...
I hope it´l be something icy...

Um, Ieldra, if there are five survivors how is Miranda hoding the line alone? Or are you picking people up later?

It's not like I don't like her... she's definitely my favorite human dominance-monger. I actually like her a bit more than Ashley.

@Ieldra2:
Well, it's not like it's the first time when someone has said, that they were ''shocked'' at her being so blunt about it or something similar. And I always love to ****** off people who are easily shocked, those who aren't fans to begin with I can understand not approving too much of her actions, but there are some fans who expect her to be all angelic in every single scenario and when that fails, they go crazy about it. :P

What? When has Miranda ever come close to angelic? I thought that not being there was why people liked her.

Well, some just like her looks and want to change the personality into something more their liking ( placing Tali into Miri's body) or something similar. :?

That seems... silly. I'm quite fine with Liara's T&A, I don't need to rewrite anyone's personality to get larger ones.

Yes. Survivors:
Tali (Escort), Jacob, Mordin (final boss), Miranda (hold-the-line) and Zaeed I'll pick up later. I'm fed up with the deaths so I won't kill him.

And Miranda holding the line alone says, somewhat incongruously since no one dies there:

"We're getting slaughtered out here. Where the hell are you, Shepard?"

Seems that what they say also depends on the size of the hold-the-line group. I'm sure there are situations where she has something more optimistic to say, but unless I know exactly how to get it I won't try. Also I don't think she'll say something different if she's not loyal. So forgive me if I don't try. All these deaths are depressing.

I destroyed the CB in this run. Don't know what tipped the balance in Colwyn Shepard's mind, perhaps it was losing half the crew to the base. *Shudder* There won't be a game like this again for me.

Finally finished both single and Ashmance variants for mShep. Also confirmed via YT that Miranda is only ME2 girl for me. And (almost) no white catsuit. Any interest on running commentary of the romance? Mostly Paragon.

I've finally put up the next chapter of my fic and earned my M rating! For a first time writer, it was the hardest thing I've ever done.

To celebrate, I'm posting a pic I haven't seen here yet. One or my current wallpapers too!

Yeah, I've seen it from time to time. Of course, that likely has to do with the fact that, in terms of video game logic, storming through the relay in pursuit of the crew feels like the natural thing to do, and the rest of the Collectors' victims are pretty much faceless. But it's cool that Miranda is the one who keeps her focus on the bigger priorities there.

@LuxDragon, awesome image, thanks.
