I don't have high hopes, though.

I like the romance. However, I also like this scene. It's bittersweet and cute and Shep and Miri just sound so very mature.
I hope the writers noticed the people who requested for a continuation and that the requests were in number enough to warrant an option in ME3.

but doesn't that mean there would be a specific tag for "just friends", as opposed to "romanced" vs "not-romanced"? how can ME-3 determine that? Unless the flags are specific, like "picked, Dammit, ur right"......

But I don't expect them to do much other than the very basic loyal or not loyal, romanced or not romanced.

i dont play the PC version, i can't comment on the code used. But I assumed that's how it works.....i actually reloaded a save because in trying to get different dialogue in Miranda's romance, i ended up in the friend scene and i'm like "wait, wut? I kno that's not right......"
I think in the end, u'll be able to romance Miranda in ME-3, regardless of how ME-2 shook out.....now i can't comment on wut ur female squadmates will say in that matter, but that's another discussion.....

Not necessarely. It wouldn't be 100% accurate but if Shepard is single and Miranda was loyal in ME2, which does get flagged, they could simply put the option to mention the "Promise me" conversation, even if it never happened.
but that's not fair to those who did Miranda's loyalty mission and never had a single conversation with her after that. in some player's minds, Miranda is merely a good squad member with a perfection complex. u dont wanna open up ME-3 and find out u have a half-mance with Miranda if u didn't ask for it

Simply don't pick the option. I'm talking about it being entirely Shepard initiated. It would be even less complicated than turning down unwanted romances.CuseGirl wrote...

you kno there's a large number of ME gamers who can't stand having options they claim they didn't initiate be presented to them ::cue same-sex-mance argument::......and it's bordering on Tali-ninja-mance status.......but eh, wutever....ME-3 is gonna have problems (like all massive releases) and it'll still be awesome.....

During the last conversation with Miranda, pick the "Damn it, you're right" option.randy06 wrote...

It is a very nice image, but a shame to have to choose that option to get the scene.

why are the screenshots from the PC version so much better than the console game?
They're probably using Jean Luc's high-res texture mod.

Her main flaw is that she doesn't perceive TIM clearly for who he is. The current chapter deals with this - and her final recognition of it - in some detail.Eyeshield21 wrote...
what flaw is that? her father?(cause he is pretty flawed)Ieldra2 wrote...
The issue is not that she does - passion is what it is, after all - but that Shepard doesn't. I disagree that she needs more flaws, btw, especially in this chapter where her main flaw comes back to haunt her.LuxDragon wrote...
I kinda like the idea that she loses control during sex. She always in control of everything and anything she does that there has to be something she can't control. And it's relatively innocent. Plus, another flaw (if anyone would call that) is good for her. There's perfection and just plain Mary Sue after all.

It has dramatic possibilities, and it's eminently plausible. I think we might come to see this.jtav wrote...
We may get more logs, particularly if Miranda's dead. I'm a big proponent of the theory that Lazarus used Reaper tech. My current theory is that Miranda surviving means the cure's a freebie. Otherwise, it'll cost you. Unless they really want a heroic sacrifice, but ME really isn't that kind of game.
But I'm of two minds about it. On one hand, it's another instance of Reaper technology being used to achieve desirable goals, on the other hand, it lessens the achievement of bringing a dead person back to life and it doesn't solve the fundamental problem of how Shepard's memories were restored.

Me too. You still get the information she would've provided, and at the same time you're reminded of the fact she's so much not there. Makes her death quite palpable. Unfortunately, this only works if her story arc really involves things so far in the past. For the same reason, it wouldn't work with most other team members.flemm wrote...

I remember we discussed this before at some point. I quite like the idea of logs being the fallback position if Miranda's dead.
We must track all these speculations and predictions. If only to know who'll get the bragging rights, LOL.As for Miranda being involved in resolving the after-effects of Lazarus, I'd love to see it. In addition to some sort of final confrontation with TIM, it would really bring her main story arcs to a satisfying conclusion. Exactly what I'm looking for in ME3.

And are we allowed to discuss the leak without quoting? Because I think possible ME2-exclusive perma squaddies just narrowed to Miranda, Jacob, Jack, and Grunt.
