Jack's would squick the hell out of me regardless, but I'm a longtime advocate of Miranda/fShep.

And right now, I could use some Miranda news. *mopes*

Can't see Miranda with FemShep unless it was thru a bi-curious type dialogue......

Hmmm... if you look through her dossier in LotSB, the entire dating site thing takes on a different light after reading the message from her doctor. After that the chat logs didn't seem to show her as that interested in the men she was propositioning. Not that she seemed that interested in them before either.

Were there timestamps on the various dossier entries? I think I'll have to go read them again to get an idea of a timeline.

Samara's was very nice, but to the extent it works, it's because of the non-consummation. Tali and Jack's make me uncomfortable. Liara'is very good, but I prefer her with FemShep. I have a very complicated relationship with Miranda's. Like the concept of romancing her, but the execution is unsatisfying, which is why I'm wondering if it's worth a playthrough.

Ah? I thought you preferred Liara with Maleshep; when did you switch sides?

Miranda is actually one of the easier bi options since her ME2 romancw is entirely player initiated.

@CuseGirl:
No, Jack then Tali then Miranda. I don't know if Liara conflicts with existing romances.

BTW, don't take me the wrong way. I dislike Tali's romance and I hate Jack's romance (that dislike doesn't extend to the characters as such). I agree about Jack's, and yes, I would've liked a Samara romance. I just wanted to see the others I don't do on my own screen, because it's a different experience than seeing them on YT.

My ME3-ready saves are:
maleShep: 2x Ashley->Miranda, 2x none->Miranda
femShep: 1x none-Jacob, 1x Kaidan->none, 1x Liara->Liara, 1x none->none

Hmm, I wonder what you'll do with those saves in ME3? Right now I try to do a similar m!Shep like you have - ME Ashley -> ME2 Miranda. That will be my first playthrough with switching relationships.

So I wonder what you're planning to do with those two male Shepards? Do you plan to have one Shepard going from Ashley to Miranda and stay with Miranda in ME3 - and the other one returning to Ashley? Just wanna know, both paths sound interesting, especially if both women will face each other and the player is forced to decide for one of them. Both have pro's and con's (multiplies if you're fan of one or both of them).

If you want to know:

*Cyrus Shepard (none->Miranda) is my (neutral) main maleShep. The one whose story I really want to write playing the games.
*Amir Shepard (Ashley-Miranda) has a slightly different decision mix and is the alternative main if I can't write Cyrus as I want to. Also the alternative timeline where Ashley survived and where there'll be a clash between Ashley and Miranda.
*Andrash Shepard (none->Miranda) is my Renegon maleShep. There are a few decision combinations I wanted to explore with this one. The only one where Tali is exiled, for one, and where Kolyat got away.
*Colwyn Shepard (Ashley->Miranda) is my "For Science" run where I did things I wouldn't do in a serious playthrough, like kill seven team members and destroy the Collector base. I'll import him to see where that leads. Might also be the one where I go back to Ashley if I can bring myself to do so. But my heart won't be in it.

But as you see, Miranda is really a constant in my maleShep games. It's impossible to stay away from her.

Fortunately, there are no timestamps. But Bioware has hinted that the iPartners dates were meant to have taken place either before ME2 or before Horizon.

I'll try a different approach...

Bioware, whatever you do... DO NOT RELEASE ANY MIRANDA INFO!!!!!

I do not want to be even the slightest bit spoiled for the awesomeness you have planned for us in March!!!!

There, I would expect Miranda info within the week Image IPB

Yeah - and I fully can understand you. Same for me with Ashley ...
Somehow both women share some traits while being entirely different. Both have something that I love.

Okay, will stop bothering you now about all that "other-woman-stuff" B) This is Miranda-thread. And yes, just for the record: I hope she'll be back with an important role or as permanent squad member in ME3. And please, BW: no stupid "your LI gets indoctrinated" stuff. Bad plot twist is bad!

We probably won't get any Miranda news with Co-op MP missions being the new feature...

Probably not, but I could stand being tossed a bone or three because of said multiplayer. And am really starting to wonder whether all ME2 exclusive characters will get the Thane treatment.

I've been thinking this since we started getting ME3 info (PSM3,GI, etc)
I don't like it...

A single mission with them and otherwise almost no presence. I'd seriously hate that.

Single mission temp. Which is more than I was expecting for Thane, but not so good for Miranda.

I'm very glad there's fanfic/AU to fall back on.

Me too, but it isn't the same, and there's no future installment to make up for it. I can somewhat be placated with TIW, but better to have my cake and eat it. And if it's just rescuing Oriana/confronting her father, I'll be enraged.

Actually, I'd like that. A one on one mission with Miranda, where the sole attention is focused upon the character development between the two, being a lot more personal.

I'd prefer that rather than having another Squad Member who either fills the background or... '' I like that bitc#. '' <---- Jack, ugh.. Ruin the atmosphere.

If bioware does not have play good role in ME 3  I'm going to lose alot  of faith in them  simple because - she was  TIM's right hand(or still is depending the playhrough)  THUS having vital and mission critical information about Cerberus Operations... not to have play a large in the ME 3 is  in my book is borderline moronic.  Every character at point where large or small shoulld play some kind of the part and the consequeces  of the charater being dead is that the plot thread involving them is cut off.

Yes, it would be so much wasted potential not to connect her to the Cerberus plotline in a big way. Though I don't think they'll reduce her story arc to her personal problems, it is possible that they'll reduce her presence to one mission. And that wouldn't do her justice, not with her ex-employer being the second-biggest enemy and the second-biggest mystery in the whole story.

In the end, it depends on whether they're willing to treat characters as unequal according to their story potential.

At this point, the continued existence of my CE preorder is hanging by a thread, and the nature of Miranda's role is that thread.

Miranda needs a role in the big picture, not just a personal role as Shepard's companion/lover! If she doesn't get a role in the pig picture, it's basically a betrayal of her character by the writers, because she cares about that quite a bit more than about personal relationships. Given the situation in ME3, that should include even Shepard and Oriana. Really, I'd only expect her to become your LI if that's clear between you and her, that she will give the mission priority. Not in a callous way, but if necessary, she'll do it even if it would break her heart.

What Ieldra said. If she brought nothing to the table other than being a LI, I would never even think of romancing her. It's why I was so happy about Thane's cameo. He actually will be affecting the galaxy more as a temp (Kepral's cure) than as a squaddie. But Miranda taking out Cerberus is bigger than that.

Sorry to randomly jump in here, but I think that expectation for Thane at least may actually be solid, the leaked Xbox magazine being quoted by ME3News' twitter feed right now says this much - head to here twitter.com/#!/ME3News/status/123493801321963520 and keep on reading the feed....very interesting stuff :happy:
