Miranda needs a role in the big picture, not just a personal role as Shepard's companion/lover! If she doesn't get a role in the pig picture, it's basically a betrayal of her character by the writers, because she cares about that quite a bit more than about personal relationships. Given the situation in ME3, that should include even Shepard and Oriana. Really, I'd only expect her to become your LI if that's clear between you and her, that she will give the mission priority. Not in a callous way, but if necessary, she'll do it even if it would break her heart.UserForFun wrote...
Actually, I'd like that. A one on one mission with Miranda, where the sole attention is focused upon the character development between the two, being a lot more personal.
I'd prefer that rather than having another Squad Member who either fills the background or... '' I like that bitc#. '' <---- Jack, ugh.. Ruin the atmosphere.
Really this can be said for every character in some degree one way or another most of they actually do have storylines that eventually tie into major. Another that is Zeead by helping to this man get his revenge you can the Blue Suns mercs and other merc groups on yourside when the **** its the fan. Its could a simpe a favor for a favor or the enemy of my enemy either ways. Samara is Fliping Justictar for most Asari seeing her would akin to see, a Supreme court justice, war hero, and matriarch all role into one walk into theroom.

Can't see Miranda with FemShep unless it was thru a bi-curious type dialogue......
Hmmm... if you look through her dossier in LotSB, the entire dating site thing takes on a different light after reading the message from her doctor. After that the chat logs didn't seem to show her as that interested in the men she was propositioning. Not that she seemed that interested in them before either.
Were there timestamps on the various dossier entries? I think I'll have to go read them again to get an idea of a timeline.
she's no frills (mostly) and obssessed with "makeup", whether it be mental/genetic/historical. So you can either interpet those dossiers as her looking for the right "mate", sorta like the blonde chick in Species (she realized one of her partners was diabetic, big no-no). Or you can take those dossiers as "i haven't gotten laid in god knows how long and i dont wanna catch anything and i dont wanna relationship"

Sorry to randomly jump in here, but I think that expectation for Thane at least may actually be solid, the leaked Xbox magazine being quoted by ME3News' twitter feed right now says this much - head to here twitter.com/#!/ME3News/status/123493801321963520 and keep on reading the feed....very interesting stuff

The problem is what is more than you could reasonably expect for Thane - a one-mission temp - is inadequate for doing justice to Miranda's story potential.

That article was leaked yesterday. My main concern is whether we'll see that for Miranda. We only have five ME2 squaddies unaccounted for, and Samara is really, really unlikely.

aside from Jacob, wut other ME-3 character has a real direct connection to Cerberus, the secondary enemy in ME-3? It appears as if Cerberus is linked with the Reapers, which happened thru their incompetence. Miranda should be very important.....my one fear is that a bunch of ME-1 guys (who in essence are XBox guys) complained so much that they didn't get enuff Tali and Garrus and Miranda such a ****, so she'll be relegated to wut is now Thane status. Especially since Thane was the other cover character and had a lengthy dialogue with Shep, I feel like that's wut could happen to Miranda......

We have five of eight ME2-exclusives unaccounted for, six if you count Legion whom we haven't heard anything about. That's still the majority unaccounted for.jtav wrote...

Yes, every character could theoretically be tied to the main story, but Miranda's plot relevance comes wrapped in a big shiny bow with a Cerberus logo. All characters are not created equal.
I wonder.....since Ashley will be back, maybe we'll get a mission or a set of missions where Shep and Miranda basically have to show Ashley how stupid the Alliance is? And it can be paralleled with Miranda's realizastion of Cerberus' cruelty and incompetence......hmmm......

Shouldn't there be HUGE storyline differences if you sold Legion? I wonder if they planned that out as they were writing the end of the derelict reaper mission.....
And yea, they're really holding out on us on Miranda.....

Right but my point was while ME 3 main atagonist is shaping up the Cerberus(please dont get started on my rant about this. Safe to say The only this works is that if TIM plus off an Aizen,Ocelot, Xehnoart level Magnifacent Bastard). That other characters have importance simple because of sub plots and others things on that could prove piviotale in how the story plays. Example Zeead and Aria bring the Terminus Mercenaries in the picture is a huge boost of military power for fighting the Reapers( and by Proxy Cerberus )to the picture . Esstainly every character on the board should play a role be they Pawn, King or Queen.

What I mean is, as a PS3 user, I have no connection to characters like Tali and Garrus. Xbox guys got to have the best of both worlds, they got new stuff and (outside of Ash fans) they got some of wut they liked from ME-1. But now that ME-3 is coming and u have this cluster-F of crew members + the development of multiplayer I wonder how Bioware will satisfy the new group of fans they gained, people like me. Also, I'm a little upset that we find out info on Garrus, Tali and Ashley in a heartbeat of ME-3's development, but the female lead from ME-2 is just a mystery. It makes me nervous. I have 5 saves with her as LI, and there's a chance they may Horizonize her while giving Ash a facelift and botox? I call BS.

Well, to the extent that Miranda is recruitable to the squad, it was always going to be the exception, rather than the rule. So, really, even if all the other ME2-specific characters were confirmed as temporary, it still wouldn't mean all that much where Miranda is concerned.

Okay I was thinking the same thing but that makes sense and it is unfair for bioware just toss a comic your way because after they brough by EA the Mass Effect elcusive to Xbox kind went up in smoke. They could do something line making in ME 1 available on PSN or someting because you guys do lose out what the PC and Xbox players get.

Let me see if I can rephrase in a less confrontational way (and as someone who has played on PC and console): four of the five surviving ME1 squad members are permanent squad members in ME3, including Tali and Garrus, who can die on the SM. None of the characters introduced in ME2 have been confirmed as anything better than temporary squad members. And that is highly annoying to those of us primarily attached to new characters.
You have no idea how much I feel you on this. I really do. It's just that... we don't know how it will work out, and we can't control it anyway. So I won't rush ahead and get really angry in advance.
Perhaps we should start a "NO MIRANDA INFO PLEASE!!!" campaign on twitter...
It might not get us any info, but it would sure confuse the hell out of the devs...

I don't know about that xbox connection, but yeah, the Garrus and Tali fans tend to be of a certain type. As if two full games hadn't been enough for them, damn it. Can't recall how often that has happened to me - the characters I care for are sidelined in a show or chickified and whatever is the male equivalent beyond recognition, while those that do nothing for me get bigger roles.CuseGirl wrote...

I'm with you so much. I, too, am primarily drawn to ME2 characters. Miranda, Legion, Mordin. If I had those three as team members, the rest could walk out the airlock for all I care (though I'd still miss some of them).jtav wrote...
