Well, it could go either way. They were evasive about the ME1 LIs before 2, but also evasive about Garrus.

Miranda is particularly problematic because, unlike everybody else, she can't really be assumed to be an ally. Anything involving the word "squad" is a spoiler, in that sense. So, we'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if Miranda's role is kept as secret as possible until March, yet turns out to be pretty important.
Not that I wouldn't rather know right now, don't get me wrong Image IPB

I heard the word "betrayal" thrown around (not her betrayal quote, chill Ieldra), that Miranda would be the perfect Benedict Arnold, which would KILL me.....to romance the futrue trojan horse.....

I've considered it, and there's a part of me that would love it, and then I remember it means either her death or redemption.

Yeah, the whole femme fatale thing coming into play. You hear that sometimes and, more often, the idea that she will be back with Cerberus. Or indoctrinated by them. Or whatever. I think that stuff will most likely not be the case at all. But there are reasons to keep people guessing where Miranda is concerned.

The thing that might damn Miranda is she and Jacob are linked the same way as Ash/Kaidan and Garrus/Tali. And I just can't see the guys not getting new full-fledged LIs.

Ye Gods... Redemption Equals Death is one of my least favourite tropes...

How so? Ash/Kaidan is very specific. And Miranda was a massively more popular and successful character than Jacob. So I don't see much reason to be concerned on that front.

Me too. I cheer for a permanent, in-her-right-mind, IC betrayal where she lives though.

but the difference here is there's no ME-4 coming to appease Miranda fans.....this is it, this is all we get. You kno wuts gonna happen, they're gonna HAVE to get a blonde in there. They can't help themselves.......they're gonna stick us with a blonde female squadmate, dangle her around, and have us wait until half way in to find Miranda and then we'll have to choose......i just kno it

Jacob isn't popular because the writers and devs made him that way. Crappy skill set, they gave his father a better storyline than himself, and he wasn't even on the cover, despite being the 2nd human u meet in the game. I call under marketing because he probably doesn't fit the demographic EA wants but that's a can of worms I dont wanna touch and I disgress.......

Maybe we'll get a Vega/Latina duo.....I wonder wut the numbers on that are and why they chose to develop this Vega.......

Well, yeah, they screwed up where Jacob is concerned. But it's not really relevant at all to Miranda. The question of whether or not there is a new female LI on the squad is definitely a lot more relevant, I would think. Though there is nothing really to add on that point at the moment.

If that happens, I may end up using my copy of ME3 as a coaster.

LoL. Seriously, though, wouldn't the bottom of your glasses and coffee cups deserve better? Image IPB

It's an extremely distasteful scenario to me as well, but you do hear it speculated about on occasion.

True. I'd consider a frisbee as an alternative, but then my dogs would deserve a better frisbee. Oh well.

Why would she even betray Shepard?

well, the ultimate worse scenario would be she was indoctrinated and it's not really her choice.....but maybe she's ACTUALLY in Cerberus for the long haul and this was TiM's long drawn out scheme to infiltrate Shep's circle and get him captured by Harbinger?....unlikely because she looked pretty convincing when she said "i'm resigning" ::omni tool click:: but who knows......it wouldn't be the first time game series have jumped the shark.....
