Because Shepard betrayed (in her mind) her ideals or did something vile, a belief Shepard is a danger, etc. The reasons multiply post-Reaper.
Most of those things don't really come across as a betrayal. More like a loyal individual trying to do what is right in a difficult situation, where there are huge stakes in play. Or a response to what Miranda feels is a betrayal on Shepard's part.
The "she was always deceiving you" thing would be like if she were there as an ally at the beginning of ME3, but she takes down the ship's defenses from within and allows Cerberus to board the Normandy, something like that. Not that it's likely at all in my mind.

No, not likely. If we get a traitor, my money's on Liara or new human female.
Well, if there's a big plot point, where somebody is abducted, or betrays you, or is indoctrinated, or whatever, then a character who is present in all games is most likely, I agree.

VS will be indoctrinated. VS character was already replaced with a doppelganger;
Liara will get a new random obsession and will go off pursuing it, leaving Shepard alone to fight the Reapers. It's the only thing that's going to be consistent with her previously established "personality";
Miranda will join the Alliance, and will work as their secret agent against Cerberus. It's obviously her secret dream. Maybe she's been talking to Jacob too much or something. We never get to see a reason for their personalities switch after leaving Lazarus station.
But since she can die, Miranda doesn't belong with the other immortals, so she's less a plot device, and more a character. As a downside, she won't get as much screen time. On a plus side, she won't get Saren treatment, where a character is so crucial to the plot that everything that happens to the character is inevitable.

I've considered it, and there's a part of me that would love it, and then I remember it means either her death or redemption.
Ye Gods... Redemption Equals Death is one of my least favourite tropes...
I agree and like more tropes when used properly Redemption Equals Death can always a CMOA and Tear Jearker and CMOH in the same breath.
Case Dinobots Death in Beast Machines.
The Traitors the entire Alliance Goverment the Reapers some weaseling the where why into the power structure.

I'm almost hesitant to ask, but could you explain? This reference went over my head. (I do have basic knowledge of transformers, i.e. I know who the Dinobots are... Me, Grimlok!, etc.)

Heh, Miranda is listed as a Scrappy on TVTropes. Not sure she's hated enough for that.
I think it fits to an extent if you apply mostly that part of the definition where certain fans think a character is too perfect, arrogant and/or marysue-ish. People who don't like Miranda tend to look at her that way. Which is admittedly superficial, but you do see it.

Tropes are not always bad things, they are tools that writers use and depending on how a writer uses depends on if they are good or bad.(the site says so)
that being said
How in the world do they explain miranda being scrappy?
The woman threw a Asari Commando turned Merc ... Clear cross a space port.

Well, it's not a very clearly defined trope, compared with a lot the ones included on that site. Certain aspects of it could apply to any somewhat polarizing character, really. The name also doesn't really fit the definition very well.
