Cerberus doesn't have the derelict Reaper anymore. After you take out the mass effect core, it crashes into the planet below. I know they sent a team in earlier, but they didn't escape and were turned into husks. I'm not sure how much data they were able to transmit to TIM (if any).

I would think that they uploaded data ... I just really thought the "to keep or not to keep" fell flat for me overall. I've kept the base on two Shepards and destroyed it on two. It will be interesting to see if it even really matters in ME3.

There's a difference between a mostly destroyed Reaper that indoctrinated the whole science team within a pretty short period of time (or caused mental decay at the very least) and a fully functional collector base that contains probably all data ever collected by the Collectors, including technology (how to turn people into husks, or at least the machinery necessary). Even though this is speculation, I'd rather do some damage control than just handing everything to them because I ASSUME they already may know everything there is to know.

As I said, I'm fonder of my base keepers and Council killers. They feel more real and shaded. I think Matt's a great match for Miranda, even if she doesn't resign. I will defend the validity of both sets of choices until I'm blue in the face.

If this were real I'd call the Council once back on the Normandy and tell them there's something they might want to see. As is, I know what kind of story I'm in. I still like my base keeping Shepards better. The romance Shepard is a base keeper.

From what I have heard earth was not the only place attacked by the reapers they are attacking other areas it is just that Earth is the 1st to fall to the reapers, so its extremely likely the council already know about the Reapers invading because they are likely already attacking the Turians, Ascari and salarian's.

This makes no message telling them to have a look I think shepherd will say

I TOLD YOU SO

I believe characters you romanced with will have something special likely a place you visit her/him at there place (shepherd might even have a house now you never know)

Here's a question:

Would you like Miranda to use melee weapons in ME3? There have been suggestions she might initially appear as one of those cyber-ninjas, which would give her that blade as a weapon.

Seeing her use Melee Weapons and the Omni Blade would make my day.<3<3<3<3^_^

That would be PERFECT!!!! Seeing her stab the enemy up close and personal, or decapitate them.<3<3<3<3^_^

I can't see Miranda as a ninja.
If Jack can use her biotics to do 20 foot jumps, I guess Miranda could also

I could see her using something like that. Or a 22nd century rapier.

I will be surprised if that is the case with the previous ME2 and ME1 characters.

I suspect she will be a getting a variation of the Biotic kill move (likely to be the same variation as shepherd has for a comparable class)

If Miri were to use Melee Weapons, then it will show MORE of her Perfect Agility.<3<3<3<3

Well, to be honest I can think of more reasons to keep than to destroy. I have had to struggle on why blowing it up is smart .. in my story. But as I said, there are two games saved and two games blown so when ME3 is released we will see what fallout (if any) occurs from either choice. Along with the rachni queen, Shaila & the Theros Colonists, geth rewrite, Wrex dead or alive, etc.

Of course my Shepards biggest issue will be who he ends up with ... he loves one woman and cares for another, so someone (most likely him) will be hurt. The CB is a very small issue in his bags of woes at the moment.

That's what I was thinking. She could get some nice combat moves with a melee weapon. Fancy shooting just doesn't look as impressive.

Yes! It's what I really want as an introduction to her
Not so sure about having her do that in game; perhaps if an enemy gets too close to her she whips out her blade and kill the guy.

She is a PERFECT marksman in my book. With that, and her POWERFUL Biotics, PLUS the ability to use melee weapons would make Miri EVEN MORE  invincible.^_^

Help a struggling fic writer out? What do you suppose she's like in a romantic relationship? I have two scenarios to account for: her early twenties while she's enjoying something resembling a normal life and between ME1 and ME2 while doing something off Lazarus station. She's genuinely in love in both cases, though almost expecting to get her heart broken in the second scenario.

Yeah, I always destroy the base and I never thought there was any good reason to keep it. Only thing, that I can think of, that hasn't somehow backfired is the new cannon on Normandy and it might be just matter of time. I thought Miranda thought the same.

I won't take anything Reaperish on my ME runs, if possible. Shepard's ''new'' body... well, I hope it doesn't turn out too badly.

I always destroy the CB too.

There are some decisions I will always make in my games :
- Not killing Wrex,
- Saving the Rachni Queen
- Anderson for council
- Miranda's loyalty mission & paragon romance
- Destroying the CB
- Miranda's resignation

btw, there is something during the resignation scene I love, it's the stop of the music when she says "I noticed, consider this my resignation" : awesome.

Well, repeating it doesn't make the decision more valid.

And, MASSEFFECTfanforlife101, Miranda is not perfect. She's an impressive woman, but no single human deserves to be put on a pedestal and worshipped as a goddess. Miranda herself would scoff at the idea.

I understand that she believes that she is not perfect and she is still only human. She is still human, but others should be able to acknowledge her abilities and how Well she Fights in combat.

you are very right on that one especially considering she said herself she is not perfect because of being human and the only thing she can take credit for is her mistakes.

she is just more powerful and more skillful than most humans (with exception to commander shepherd of course)

Exactly. It was hard work to bring myself to do that in even one of my games.

My Shepards' biggest problem is that they don't yet know how to defeat the Reapers. That overshadows all other considerations. Even Miranda. Though not by much. ;)

For once in my life, I agree with Melrache. Miranda is alternately proud and self-loathing with an absolute genius for pissing people off. I like her that way.

I'd say Shepard has nothing on her intelligence, given some of the lines Bioware has written for them.

I disagree with the self-loathing, but she has her share of arrogance and yes, to some people she comes across as needlessly confrontational. But since I have no problem with these traits in her, I still don't understand the dislike some people have for her. I think she can be a reasonable diplomat if she cares to be - the problem is that she doesn't care to be most of the time.

It's also possible that Miranda is physically superior to unaugmented pre-Lazarus FemShep, though it could go either way.
