I'd say Shepard has nothing on her intelligence, given some of the lines Bioware has written for them.

Aye, Shepard is just the ''model'' soldier. Who is above average, but I don't think he's the best that humanity has to offer. His background story is impressive, but after he becomes Spectre he's had others to count on, they've made great team thus far and the reason he's so important in the present, is because he's symbol of hope.

Without hope, there's nothing. :? Miranda is far more intelligent, than at least my Shepard, that's how I see it at least. I'd not want to see who'd win in a fight or anything like that, because I could never be sure if Shepard would win because he's the main character or because of his own merits.

Anyway.. Just my thoughts, not stating any ''facts''. :P

I agree. :)

Also, considering what Miranda says during the game, I don't understand that some people still think that she considers herself as perfect  :/

I know that she is still human, but still much more impressive than others. I'm just saying (in MY OWN WAY) that her abilities are superior compared to others.

I believe people are put off by the conversation at the beginning after you first talk to TIM

Help a struggling fic writer out? What do you suppose she's like in a romantic relationship? I have two scenarios to account for: her early twenties while she's enjoying something resembling a normal life and between ME1 and ME2 while doing something off Lazarus station. She's genuinely in love in both cases, though almost expecting to get her heart broken in the second scenario.

That's a rather wide-ranged question. Could you be a little more specific?

the think you are forgetting is that Miranda is in a way Jealous of shepherd (i know she does not really admit it she just admires your skills and attributes) because you achieved everything with the skill you got given whereas Miranda who in a way has the same issues as Grunt (both tank bred pretty much) that they are powerful and skillful but not by there own hands.

In miranda's eyes shepherd is more perfect than herself because of achieving everything by him/herself and she even said that 'she does not the drive you (shepherd) have, to get people to follow you into hell itself' which is even more evident that she considers you more perfect than herself

I wish I could just strap a bit of tape over some people's mouths. I've already ran across Miranda hate on SW:TOR forums, when people needed example of extremely shallow romance, they presented Miranda from ME2.

I can't say anything about other romances in the game, I just can comment on the characters.

Yaevinn.

Yeah, I suppose they're. It's fun sometimes though, nothing is quite as satisfying as pissing off someone who already has an aggressive and angry way of going about things. :wizard:

She believes that, yes, but that is one of her flaws. This is what I want her to learn, on a deep level: that it doesnt matter where your gifts come from, it matters what you do with them. There is no intrinsic virtue in the natural gene lottery, and no intrinsic flaw in genetic engineering. The fact that she ran away from her father with Oriana is proof enough that her gifts are hers to choose what to do with. Miranda is already hugely impressive now. Just imagine the force of personality she'll have once she's gained the self-esteem appropriate for her achievements.

Thinking the romance is shallow or poorly written isn't hate. Though I take it these were not well-argued posts.

Yeah :/
Personally, I never had a problem with this conversation. I like her attitude, and I think it's totally understandable.
But you know, a male character who challenge the player is a badass, a woman who challenge the player is a **** ... <_<

I'm always annoyed when haters find unintelligent reasons to hate Miri and kill her off. <_<

They may be jealous because our LI is more interesting and appealing than theirs lol.:P

One of the reasons, that was stated was the sex scene and how it was the ''final stage'' of the romance. The rest is just matter of perspective, I like to see romance being different depending on the choices you make along the way, most of these people just simplify and see it that you get to bang a hot chick, no matter what you do. But it was pretty much given that this person hated everyone's romance other than Liara's, which I didn't really understand what was so special about it.

I romanced Liara on my first ME1 playthrough and was 50/50 between Miri and Liara when I started ME2, but chose Miri after meeting up with Liara, but I have no idea how it plays out in LoTSB. Not that I really even care.

Yeah, some guys just have fragile ego. I personally find strong women, who voice their opinion much more comfortable to be around with, in reality as well. It's personal preference, but usually the reason guys seem to dislike strong women is because, they hold onto the ''woman's place is in the kitchen'', way of thinking in some quantity.

I think there are are legitimate reasons to dislike her: she's abrasive and somewhat cruel. She's an apologist for a terrorist organization. Yes, she resigns, but that's after spending 30 hrs defending what you might find indefensible.

I totally agree with this. Minuteman station Miranda is reserved and rebuffs Shepard for being intrusive. I find that particularly appropriate and that conversation was the second step for her to become my favorite character (the first was shooting Wilson). As for the control chip comment, you could take it at face value, but I think it's quite possible she never really entertained that idea, but said it to put Shepard off balance. It's that kind of situation.

Clearly, Miranda is not for everyone. Unless you reduce her to her sex appeal. Which is another unfortunate attitude I suspect is rather common, but I have no evidence for it.

To me the romance is absolutely not shallow, because of the promise scene. And IMO it's the more meaningful one.
Personnaly I like the engine room scene, but I can understand why people don't like it. But I agree, no need to simplify the romance because of this scene.

I'm just going to say that no one is going to change my opinions for Miri. She is a Lovely, Power, and VERY Interesting Woman.

I've been a Mirimancer ever since I started playing the ME Series. So I'm not going to distort the way I feel about her because of other opinions.

Haha yes!
I didn't mind that talk; I even chose the renegade options just for the sake of RP:
They start out hating each other then grow to love each other :)

I would have preferred Miranda to stay an ice queen for most if not the entire game. It would have been fun having a rival of sorts, for both my paragon and renegades. Hostility can be quite fun if its done right, everyone getting friendly gets old after a while. At least Shepard can still argue with her over who is in command, and the more renegade romance was awesome. No offense, but the paragon one just makes Shepard come across as a total kiss-ass.
